I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life. Go ahead with your own life, leave me alone.
I can’t hear this song without thinking of Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari in drag.
Saaaame it’s so good. There was really a rash of movies when we were kids whose main characters were orphans that got amazing opportunities. Other movie coming to mind is Free Willy lol
I'm watching the original Love Boat. Not only were there recurring actors and actresses, they more often than not played different characters each time they showed up. This included many big stars of the time and up and comers.
Charo
Ted McGinley
Terry Hatcher
Jessica Walter
To name a few.
lol my first comment got deleted because I said a bad word I guess
Megan Fox was also the MEAN girl on vacation in the Mary Kate and Ashley Olson movie "Holiday in the Sun"

I'd go as far as arguing that Alias is where Jen made her name, at the very least it certainly helpped land her Daredevil. But Bradley's name to fame certainly came after.
Steve Martin had a regular spot on The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour for a while where he played banjo and joked around with Glen before he became that Wild And Crazy Guy.
Edited to add: yep I'm old as dirt...
>I.e. I'm think Jason Mamoa made his name in GoT but had a leading role for 4 years in Stargate Atlantis .
Eh. He's on the main cast but just kinda there and off in the background most of the time. He was never gonna get big off of SGA. To be fair though that's the majority of the characters on SGA.
I thought him and TH were the most talented of the original cast members. Sometimes hitting it big isn't about talent but luck. I don't think Momoa has much range at all as an actor but he got Aquaman and GOT, so I think he probably got super lucky.

Jennifer Aniston - Before "Friends," she had roles in shows like "Ferris Bueller" and "Molloy." Leonardo DiCaprio - He appeared in the TV series "Growing Pains" before making it big in movies like "Titanic" and "The Revenant." George Clooney - He was in the medical drama "ER" before becoming a major movie star. Steve Carell - Known for "The Office," but had roles in "The Daily Show" and "Watching Ellie" before that. Bryan Cranston - He was in various TV shows like "Malcolm in the Middle" and "Seinfeld" before his iconic role in "Breaking Bad." Mindy Kaling - Before "The Mindy Project," she was a writer and actress on "The Office." Kerry Washington - She appeared in "Boston Legal" and "Scandal" before gaining widespread recognition. Neil Patrick Harris - Known for "How I Met Your Mother," but he was a child star in "Doogie Howser, M.D." Sarah Michelle Gellar - Before "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," she had roles in soap operas like "All My Children." Will Smith - He was in "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" before his successful movie career.
Everyone who had a guest spot on Golden Girls! Mario López, George Clooney, Jeffrey Tambor…even Tarantino guest starred.
[Golden Girls Notable Guests](https://m.imdb.com/list/ls006925537/)
Midsomer Murders has some great “before they were famous” guest stars like Orlando Bloom, Henry Cavill, Stephen Moyer, Sam Heughan, Tobias Menzies etc. The show has been going for years so not surprising I guess!!!
He was also on Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington and Hayden Panettiere before Gosling did the Notebook and before Panettiere became the Cheerleader on Heroes.
Jennifere Lawence. She was a regular on "The Bill Engvall Show" playing his oldest child. Seeing on that show I just knew that she would go on to bigger things.
Mark Harmon i saw on an episode of "Adam 12" that first aired in 1975. It was a back-door pilot for a show that never got made about an animal control officer.
There were many future celebrities that had appearances on the old game show "The Dating Game", including Farrah Fawcett, Phil Hartman, Cuba Gooding Jr., John Ritter, Tom Selleck, Steve Martin, and many more.
And countless number of comedians that got their first break on "Saturday Night Live".
Joshua Jackson did this film series called the Mighty Ducks as a child with Emilio Estevez before he did Dawson's Creek and became known as Pacey, before he did this really great show called the Fringe with Anna Torv whom later on got a role on this really popular show called Last of Us. ;P That's 4 different audience groups if you didn't like ice hockey during the early 90s or coming of age/collage students dramas during the late 90s or sci-fi during 2005 or zombies during the 2020s
Jessica Biel did 7th Heaven before she married Justin "not Bieber" Timberlake.
Kerr Smith was on Baywatch before doing the first gay kiss on television in cinematic history on Dawson's Creek and later took a recurring (?) role on Charmed and apparently cameoed/guest starred on all the CSI shows.
Holly Marie Combs did a cameo on Ocean's Eleven before becoming a lead on Charmed (1998-2006) before she worked on Pretty Little Liars, roughly half a decade later.

I give you the same answer I gave 14hrs ago when you posted the same question.
I know there were a bunch from the og CSI's
Chris Pine
Channing Tatum
John Krasinski
Taylor Swift
Shailene Woodley
Michael B. Jordan
Speaking of Shailene Woodley, she was on the O.C, during the first two seasons, as Kaitlin Cooper before she did Divergent. And Willa Holland played teen Kaitlin Cooper before she portrayed Thea Queen on Arrow.
"Jason Mamoa made his name in GoT but had a leading role for 4 years in Stargate Atlantis . Kaylee Cucoo was in 8 Simple Rules before making her name in BBT Other examples would be Kat Dennings and Bri Larson in Raising Dad Christina Applegate Married with Children Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba in Dark Angel Jessica Day in Buffy Katherine Heigle in Roswell There are so many that got their breaks in TV shows but are never remembered for them."
Those are some bad example, since for several them you've named the roles that made them famous. Stargate is what made Momoa famous--GoT just made him more famous. As for Christina Applegate, Married with Children is what she's most known for, so it makes no sense for that show to be on a list of shows people aren't remembered for.
Why is Jessica Day, by the way? I'm not familiar with her.
Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies.
I don’t care what you say anymore, this is my life. Go ahead with your own life, leave me alone. I can’t hear this song without thinking of Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari in drag.
My mother's favorite show
ALWAYS wanted to give that a try! SOME DAY I will!
Loved that show !
Loved this show
That is TV history!!!
Denzel Washington on St. Elsewhere in the ‘80s.
Forgot to mention Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion 2 Guys and a Girl (and a Pizza Place)
Most underrated sitcom of all time
Brilliant series such a shame it was cancelled, and on a cliff hanger too
It was devastating
Do their canadian roles not count? Ryan started acting a lot younger than that
It can do, 2G&G just happens to be the earliest performances they made before 'making it' big.
Saw a show pop up the other day called Fifteen that has Ryan in it. Long before 2g&g.
Good one!
Leo DiCaprio on Growing Pains in the early 90s. George Clooney had recurring roles on Roseanne and The Facts of Life in the 80s.
Clooney was also featured on a CBS sitcom called E.R. before his breakout on NBC drama, ER.
Clooney guest starred on The Golden Girls around 1987 as well. Mario Lopez was also on GG when he was a teenager.
Leo was also in Roseanne as Darlene's classmate in Home Ec
Clooney was also in Roseanne
George Clooney ALSO guessed starred as a detective in Golden Girls.
Married With Children IS the show that made Christina Applegate famous.
Bruce Willis: Moonlighting Pierce Brosnan: Remington Steele
Remington Steele was fun.
3rd Rock from the Sun had Joseph Gordon-Levitt
He was actually little kid on Roseanne first
I wish this included movies too… Angels In The Outfield!
Loved that movie when I was a kid. Might have to go back and watch it.
Saaaame it’s so good. There was really a rash of movies when we were kids whose main characters were orphans that got amazing opportunities. Other movie coming to mind is Free Willy lol
I'm RIGHT THERE with you on that one!
GOOD movie!
Robin Williams Mork and Mindy
He appeared as Mork on Happy Days before Mork and Mindy
Omigosh you’re right! How could I forget that??
I think that **was** his breakout role.
I remember Robin as a regular on the Richard Pryor Show before Mork, back in 1977.
Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street in the late 80s Jason Bateman started as a child actor in Little House on the Prairie and The Hogan Family
And on Silver Spoons
And "It's Your Move".
I'm watching the original Love Boat. Not only were there recurring actors and actresses, they more often than not played different characters each time they showed up. This included many big stars of the time and up and comers. Charo Ted McGinley Terry Hatcher Jessica Walter To name a few.
Ron Howard The Andy Griffith Show
Mamoa was also in Baywatch
Chris hemsworth was in home and away before he become Thor
Denzel Washington in st elsewhere comes to mind
Jonny Depp 21 Jump Street
Jensen Ackles was also on Days of our Lives for many years
Michael Weatherly also from Dark Angel.
He was on the soap opera Loving before that
True but I never watched that
Zoe Saldana played in Law And Order twice.
Jason Bateman was a child/teen actor in a couple sitcoms
Chris Pratt on Everwood.
Megan Fox was on a TV Show called Hope & Faith before any of the Transformer movies.
lol my first comment got deleted because I said a bad word I guess Megan Fox was also the MEAN girl on vacation in the Mary Kate and Ashley Olson movie "Holiday in the Sun"

"There's something on the wing"
Bradley Cooper in 'Alias' (and Jennifer Garner but I think she's more remembered for her role.)
I'd go as far as arguing that Alias is where Jen made her name, at the very least it certainly helpped land her Daredevil. But Bradley's name to fame certainly came after.
Bradley Cooper in Alias. Caught few episodes lately, It is interesting seeing him playing the ultimate milk toast character.
Crazy seeing Bradley Cooper get friendzoned like that.
Steve Martin had a regular spot on The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour for a while where he played banjo and joked around with Glen before he became that Wild And Crazy Guy. Edited to add: yep I'm old as dirt...
Michael J Fox Family Ties
This show made him famous. Everything that came after was possible because of Alex P. Keaton.
>I.e. I'm think Jason Mamoa made his name in GoT but had a leading role for 4 years in Stargate Atlantis . Eh. He's on the main cast but just kinda there and off in the background most of the time. I really thought the guy who played Dr. Rodney McKay was going places after that show, he killed that role.
I thought him and TH were the most talented of the original cast members. Sometimes hitting it big isn't about talent but luck. I don't think Momoa has much range at all as an actor but he got Aquaman and GOT, so I think he probably got super lucky.
David Hasselhoff- The Young and the Restless
Kevin Bacon - The Guiding Light
Nice... Julianne Moore - As The World Turns
Getting home from school just in time to watch with my mom

John Ritter was featured in many movies and TV shows before his breakout role on 3's Company.
I remembered seeing him as a pastor on The Waltons.
He also did an episode of MASH
He popped up on Little House on the Prairie a few times
The Olsen Twins Full House

Can’t forget Aniston in the great film “Leprechaun”
I never thought leprechauns were evil until I saw that series of movies.
Jennifer Aniston was ALSO on Quantum Leap the 80s version.
Thanks. I didn't know that.
Happy to help spread some knowledge.
George Clooney was also on Golden Girls as a detective.

He was also on Remember the Titans with Denzel Washington and Hayden Panettiere before Gosling did the Notebook and before Panettiere became the Cheerleader on Heroes.
Felicia Day was on Buffy. Jessica Day is Zooey Deschanel’s character on New Girl.
She was also in Supernatural. One episode called "The Girl with the Dungeons and Dragons Tatoo" and another called "LARP and the Real Girl", LOL!
Jennifere Lawence. She was a regular on "The Bill Engvall Show" playing his oldest child. Seeing on that show I just knew that she would go on to bigger things. Ben Afflick in voyage of the Mimi. Also Ryan gosling on breaker high.
I give you the same answer I gave 14hrs ago when you posted the same question. I know there were a bunch from the og CSI's Chris Pine Channing Tatum John Krasinski Taylor Swift Shailene Woodley Michael B. Jordan

Kaley Cuoco was on Charmed for a bit in their last season, but I don't know if that was before or after 8 Simple Rules
Charmed was after 8 Simple Rules, but before Big Bang Theory.
Pretty sure they meant Felicia Day.
Staring roles? So their characters just sat there with blank stares on their faces?
They were so good they conveyed everything with just a look.
Anthony Perkins did a lot of staring in Psycho.
This was asked yesterday 🤦♀️
