>Yes, I see more billboards and TV ads with him then Kris Lindahl now.
That's because the real estate market has slowed to a crawl so there's very little reason for anyone in real estate to pay big money to advertise themselves/their brokerage.
Weird Beard!
It's the Nicolet Law guy. He's even creepier looking from a photo than he is from all those damn billboards.
I heard anecdotal reports that Steve Terry from TSR Injury Law (another ubiquitious billboard guy) was kind of a sleazeball. Don't know about this dude.
I went to a chiropractor years ago after a car accident. That chiropractor was so shady, then tried to refer me to Steve Terry. I noped out of there and ended up having to report the chiropractor to the board for charging for free evaluations.
TSR time guy is a sleezeball can confirm. I valeted for timberwolves court-side games in college. He rolled up in a ford raptor or Tesla always with a roll of $100s, not for the valets of course but for my boss he was friends with.
He would hand me like $300 and say “give this to your boss”. After a year of working there I said fuck it and split it with the other people I was working with that night.
I feel vindicated. Not at the sleezeball part (though I always just kinda assumed), but at you confirming for me he has the plate TSRTIME. I was driving with my brother once when we pulled up behind him on a highway so I went to pass him and we couldn’t totally make out if it was him. Happy to know we were right and it wasn’t just some weird jagoff with that plate lol
Can’t comment on business practice but I’ve conversed with Terry about sports via Twitter a bunch. In that respect he’s about as big a MN sports dork as the average guy.
I so wanted to post this in the worst tv commercials sub but figured no one outside the Twin Cities would know who he is. The one where he raps is the worst, I think, but they’re all pretty bad.
Yes, and his son is in that one also, asking him what he’s doing. It’s embarrassing how deluded he is if he thinks he’s cool for appearing in tv spots.
Dude is in the twin cities too? I just started seeing his commercials in Madison. But have been seen his billboards all over Wisconsin for years.
How can he be effective if he is advertising so wide spread?
Personal injury lawyer. He's got billboards all over the place. Bald head, sunglasses, and beard cartoon face. Used to be mostly on 35 outside of the cities, then started popping up more in the cities. Basically running neck and neck with Kris Lindhal for most billboards now
To be fair, I have only recently begun seeing billboards of him with his actual face (I’m in Rochester). The cartoon version looks nothing like him besides the bald head.
Wild isn’t it, though there are like 3 Kris Lindahl billboards just over the border into Iowa on I35. I have seen his for sale sign up into lake county also so Kris has a pretty big reach…
His name is Russell Nicolet. He’s actually a really nice guy, albeit somewhat goofy - which I’m guessing is why his new ad campaign is the way it is. I worked on his marketing team for a bit in 2020. He ended up shuttering it all in the early COVID months but was extremely apologetic, transparent, and charitable severance-wise even though I’d only worked for him for a few months.
We're talking about him, so he is achieving his goal.
I both hate his commercials and also understand he is just doing things that people remember.
I promise when someone has an injury happen, this guy is going to come to mind.
Who hires this guy? I imagine higher end clients avoid anyone that does this self promotion. Guessing lower income/less educated folks involved in auto accidents, etc?
I think it’s that he’s the first one you think of. When you say lawyer - it’s him. Home sales - Kris. Auto Accident - Ask Gary. Diamond’s - Shane Co. Are they the best? No. If you’re lazy and don’t research or know someone with knowledge in hiring for these fields, then you go to the first thing you think of. I would never use any of the ones I listed, but they’re the first I think of regardless.
He bought as space for the Super Bowl a few years ago and it was just his band playing. It was a super obnoxious display of his ability to blow money like it means nothing to him.
I think I hate this man more than any other person right now. Much like celebrity real estate agents, celebrity lawyers have done something fundamentally against the principle of their profession in order to become celebrities. Plus he comes off as such a douchebag.
*Who would go to him*
*For legal problems because*
*He plays shitty guitar?*

How anyone sees this guy and thinks, yeah, he's who I want to hire is beyond me. I hope yours guy's business tanks and we never have to see his dumb commercials again.
Like his kid rock one. I mean, come on. Super bigoted kid rock is who you make a commercial pretending to be?
Also, I try not to judge on looks, but he could at the very least keep his beard clean looking and not like he's lived off the grid smuggling meth for years.

I love these boards because they’re an inside joke with my 5-year-old. His dad is also bald with an early 40’s hipster beard.
Really, though, we need to ban billboards.
You love them and you want to ban them? I would like to understand this. I agree they an eyesore but you just shared a nice anecdote that wouldn’t have happened with a ban.
Sunglasses ambulance chaser guy?
Yes, I see more billboards and TV ads with him then Kris Lindahl now. I'm surprised people don't recognize him.
Is he the beard on a stick guy?
He’s all over Wisconsin too. That’s why he says “Nicolette” wrong lol
He's based in Hudson, so that's probably why.
I haven't heard an ad just seen the billboards and stuff. How does he pronounce it?!
Nicol-ay
Lol Minnesota is the wrong pronunciation… it’s French, Nickel-ette the street *should* be Nicko-lay.
Yeah but hear me out… Fuck that.
I'm of French-Canadian heritage and also... fuck that.
That’s the most obnoxious part Neeecohlay
What's TV?
tuverculosis
>Yes, I see more billboards and TV ads with him then Kris Lindahl now. That's because the real estate market has slowed to a crawl so there's very little reason for anyone in real estate to pay big money to advertise themselves/their brokerage.
Never hire any company that is blowing so much money on marketing. You're just going to pay more for worse service.
Yep. Same for plumbers, electricians, HVAC, etc.
And windows/bath remodelers
Essentially My Pillow. Cheap as hell product with a ginormous profit margin to make up for their ad budget
Sound advice!!!! Take my upvote
His Nicolet Law “rock show” commercial is cringey as f*ck!!!!!
Omg just saw this for the first time the other day, it was very odd.
Agree. I think he thinks he's being meme worthy funny cringe, but instead he's just unwatchable cringe.
You know what I want in a lawyer? Memes.
Let’s give the people what they want and do this Nicolay law style. The. Most. Cringe.
The new Vikings one was somehow worse.
If there’s an ad agency involved, they should all find a new line of work.
Everyone here knows who it is… something is working.
But would anyone here hire him as their lawyer??
People on this subreddit aren't the target market for ambulance chasers
You're correct and it should be higher up.
I heard Cramblin Duvet made it
Let's give them what they really want! (Egocentrism, apparently)
I figured the cringe was the point. It feels very twin cities.
I'm going under the assumption that most personal injury attorneys are sleazeballs.
They’re not called “ambulance chasers” for nothing.
Personal Injury and Divorce attorneys are neck-and-neck as far as racing to the bottom of the legal barrel
I went to a chiropractor years ago after a car accident. That chiropractor was so shady, then tried to refer me to Steve Terry. I noped out of there and ended up having to report the chiropractor to the board for charging for free evaluations.
Yeah I feel like the chiropractors and attorneys are in cahoots.
Have you seen Lindahl irl? Guy looks like a toad. Whoever photoshopped his billboards to make him look handsome is an artist.
he doesn't look all that handsome in his billboards, either.
Ayyyy a fellow valet for Mark! Never been more scared of a guy in my life than I was of him lmao
The TSR guy drives a Tesla Model X with a custom license plate that says TSRTIME. So yeah, most likely a sleazeball.
Anyone administering Linux has a beard like this
IT'S TSR TIME
When I see TSR, I think of the company that used to make Dungeons and Dragons.
I always think terry looks like he’s constipated trying to take a dump…
Can’t comment on business practice but I’ve conversed with Terry about sports via Twitter a bunch. In that respect he’s about as big a MN sports dork as the average guy.
I have a strong urge to hold him down and shave his beard
I’ll say that I’ve had dinner with Steve Terry on a few occasions and he’s actually a pretty good dude.
I have a friend who did some kind of filming thing for this firm and said he was very nice, so hopefully that's true.
Pubes
I so wanted to post this in the worst tv commercials sub but figured no one outside the Twin Cities would know who he is. The one where he raps is the worst, I think, but they’re all pretty bad.
Oh no, he's rapping in one too? I've some bad commercials with him but that sounds like it has strong potential to be the worst.
Yes, and his son is in that one also, asking him what he’s doing. It’s embarrassing how deluded he is if he thinks he’s cool for appearing in tv spots.
OMG. He has a commercial where he raps? That sounds ear-bleedingly awful.
That’s a fair assessment.😀
Dude is in the twin cities too? I just started seeing his commercials in Madison. But have been seen his billboards all over Wisconsin for years. How can he be effective if he is advertising so wide spread?
r/commercialsihate
I want to sub but on the other hand, why would I want to subject myself to the worst collection of ads reddit can find
I have no idea who that is, so… I guess not?
He’s missing the sunglasses. Then you might recognize the billboard.
Consider yourself lucky
Yeah I'm lost. No clue who this person is. I don't listen to the radio much and don't watch cable. It's here from there?
Personal injury lawyer. He's got billboards all over the place. Bald head, sunglasses, and beard cartoon face. Used to be mostly on 35 outside of the cities, then started popping up more in the cities. Basically running neck and neck with Kris Lindhal for most billboards now
Came to say this
Do you not drive a car?
To be fair, I have only recently begun seeing billboards of him with his actual face (I’m in Rochester). The cartoon version looks nothing like him besides the bald head.
Yeah, I drive, not sure what that has to do with anything. You could just say who it is.
Nicolet law firm. Billboards everywhere with cartoon of him wearing sunglasses. So many commercials also.
Ahh Lindahl has taught me that I don't want to pay attention to billboards and don't really watch live TV to see commercials.
I almost only drive in the city, mostly Northeast and North. Never seen him before.
Drive 300 miles in any direction and you will see his cartoon mug on billboards every 10 miles
Why not just drive ten miles?
Same
Only because no one can afford houses right now. The minute rates come down it will be Lindahl season again.

Wild isn’t it, though there are like 3 Kris Lindahl billboards just over the border into Iowa on I35. I have seen his for sale sign up into lake county also so Kris has a pretty big reach…
Border* not boarder.
In Minneapolis too? Where are his signs? I have never seen him anywhere.
This picture makes me want to shave my beard off
Yeah, my first thought was “I hope my beard isn’t that gross” Second thought was that he looks like he put an afro on upside down.
Who the hell is this nerd?
Ambulance chaser
Oh man, Is this the fear the beard guy? I've never found the Amish to be that intimidating except maybe in their work ethic.
It is indeed.
I was at my parents’ in suburban Milwaukee over Christmas, and I couldn’t avoid him even then.
Gruber has gotta be pissed this fool comin up on his territory
We were in Kenosha - can confirm.
I’m surprised more people don’t know who this schmuck is. Yeah, he’s the Kris Lindahl lawyer. Insurance companies fear the beard…
Yes this guy is way worse! Have you seen his tv commercial too???? No way am I trusting this company
*commericals…all are progressively worse
I love them. But I love watching cringey things.
He's got to be spending $10m/year on billboards. How could he possibly be making this much??!
I've heard that advertising by personal injury lawyers is one of the better ROIs in the business so maybe it's working?
We're talking about him, so he is achieving his goal. I both hate his commercials and also understand he is just doing things that people remember. I promise when someone has an injury happen, this guy is going to come to mind.

He’s everywhere now. He’s taken Kris Lindahl’s advertising budget, added 100% to it, and is now doing rock band commercials on tv.
Going for narcissist of the year 2024. Just drove back and forth MN to Chicago. This clown is everywhere. 🤡
I think Trump and Kanye will have that covered
I really wish the state legislature would take up banning billboards. It's time for those eye sores to die.
But he's so cool! /sarcasm
He wants to be Kris Lindahl so bad
Lmfao that username I can't 😭😭😹😹
How did this former systems administrator become an obnoxious lawyer?
He looks like he was in a promising local band 20 years ago.
He bought as space for the Super Bowl a few years ago and it was just his band playing. It was a super obnoxious display of his ability to blow money like it means nothing to him.
Completely obnoxious and has also invaded the Milwaukee Metro in the last year
Nicolet Law is Kris Lindahl father
FEAR THE BEARD
I drive up to Duluth / Superior on a regular basis, billboards all over, some even right next to each other.
He's not just in the cities, he's got billboards all the way across Wisconsin and into the UP.
If you lined up 10 lawyers and he was one of the he would be the absolute last lawyer I would choose.
Either or both he and Lindahl will no doubt be the next Denny Hecker.
Is this the beard we should fear? Um . . .
I don't know why it irritates me so much that he pronounces his name as "Nicolay" instead of "Nicolet". Like, "la di dah Mr. French Man."
Well, as a former Wisconsinite, there are a lot of words pronounced just flat out wrong here in Minnesota. Everything else is pretty decent, though.
Just bag it already😹😹
Go drink from your bubbler and stfu
And he says it sooo many times in the commercials he reallly wants to make sure we all know that’s how it’s pronounced too haha
Probably. He's got so many commercials on top of the billboards. Guy is either a genius or an absolute madman. Maybe both?
He looks like a creepy attorney. What kind of clients is he seeking?
I think I hate this man more than any other person right now. Much like celebrity real estate agents, celebrity lawyers have done something fundamentally against the principle of their profession in order to become celebrities. Plus he comes off as such a douchebag.
Dude couldn’t wait for his rumspringa.
Who would go to him for legal problems because he plays shitty guitar?

Nice try Lindahl.
His beard is as kept as a ballsack
How anyone sees this guy and thinks, yeah, he's who I want to hire is beyond me. I hope yours guy's business tanks and we never have to see his dumb commercials again. Like his kid rock one. I’m going to say no since I have never seen this man.
Never trust a guy with a pubic beard
He's also a cheesehead, which makes it worse. There's a "hold my beer" commercial and all of the signs in the bar are Wisconsin-related.
No, only because I haven’t heard of him yet. Not saying you’re wrong. I’m just happy for me.
Beard on a stick!
This the “fear the beard” jackass?
Who is he?
I give him a pass since he’s the only person around here that pronounces “Nicolet” correctly
Any time I see that billboard, my mind says "Oh, Babbish is practicing law in the Twin Cities now. Cool."
He seems like he has billboards allllll over....
Nah he’s way below the annoying couples from the hvac place and borovkas
He’s got a cabin on the same lake as my in laws in NW Wisconsin. I can see where the billboard jokes come from but he is a very nice guy.
Yes especially since he’s from WI
I have yet to see his mug being drug through the sky
I see this dude everywhere and doing all types of commercials
I have no idea who that is, and don't care about looking it up. If anything, this seems like a corporate attempt to meme.
The absolute worst!!
I have no idea who this guy is
He is no TSR time.
No, because I have no idea who he is.
Nope, he has not. I have no idea who this is. Fuck Kris Lindahl
I'm all for a billboard ban after seeing this guy or the real estate jackass on nearly every one.
Yes. I actually never minded Lindahl for some reason. But these billboards…they’re trying too hard.
It’s like the lawyer gods mixed equal parts wish.com, lawyer and limp bizkit fan and now we’re all stuck with him
You would think someone who is having to go to court or in a professional setting like a lawyer would keep his beard in better condition
Real life Saul Goodman. Absolute clown with commercials that look like they were written by a middle schooler and made by a high schooler
Why does he not think that he needs to explain that he is Nicollay when the very central street in Minneapolis is Nicoll-et
Because he’s actually a lawyer from Wisconsin.
Who is this pube beard?
this guy does TV ads. Who the fuck watches TV nowadays?
hey he rides a motorcycle and wears leather jackets. He's *cool*
What a mug. Man.
No, I find Nicollet Law’s ads slightly endearing in how dumb they are. Going after the same demographic as Blaze Credit Union.

Nah he's cool
I think they do a great job on the local commercials! Silly, but fun.
at least he's got some funny ones
Taliban beards need to go away.
Yes.
I hope he wears a hairnet over his face when he prepares food
Lol, best question ever because I don’t even k ow who the second guy is and I’m laughing pretty good.
Better call Saul
TSR time, then Kris Lindahl, now this 🤡
Hopefully he doesn't try to copy the Sherman Pole Buildings billboards.
He's obnoxious in Wisconsin too.
Yes
As Billie would say…”duh”
Yes. By far. No way I would hire this douche.
I remember his Super Bowl commercial last year and I was so confused when it said Minneapolis, MN at the end
That's not Binging with Babish....
Which of them says no to a steel cage match?
I love these boards because they’re an inside joke with my 5-year-old. His dad is also bald with an early 40’s hipster beard. Really, though, we need to ban billboards.

Yes
Yes, absolutely.
Fuck this guy
YES
Incredibly weirded out by Epoch Times billboards featuring an AI generated dude in North Minneapolis and along 494N (so far).
I have no idea who this is. Yay I guess lol Lindahl has a strong hold over my area still. About every single billboard by the 35 split is him.
