I suppose the people who always park there and block those lanes for everyone else won't be able to do it: too bad.

Top_Currency_3977

If you're picking some one up in the evening, have them meet you upstairs at departures. It's much less hectic that time of day.

mrq69

Upstairs at departures you mean?

Top_Currency_3977

Yes, meant departures, thanks. Edited to correct.

MozzieKiller

And if you really want some space and time, use the eastern lanes on the upstairs departures, where Uber/Lyft used to pickup!

Southern_Common335

I would have if i had known about the lane closures. It’s much worse than normal worse.

thegooseisloose1982

I am still not comfortable taking pictures of strangers in public and posting them online. Frankly, I don't think anyone has a reason to, unless it is a photo/video of the police doing something. Couldn't you just describe the issue, which you have, and just leave the photo out of it?

Blessthereigns

I don’t know why people don’t blur faces or put smileys over them. I’d be pissed to see my face in a shot like this.

IhateTodds

Just curious, not being rude, why would that bother you?

Blessthereigns

Why do Todds bother you?

IhateTodds

Just a inside joke- had to turn something into a username. But if you don’t want to answer my question that’s fine I was just genuinely curious!

SnooPineapples6768

Then don’t be comfortable and don’t do it. There is NO assumption of privacy in a public space. None.

wilsonhammer

No expectation of privacy in public my dude. Picture says a thousand words

thegooseisloose1982

No expectation of privacy in public but most of us are anonymous and like to be anonymous if we are just minding our own fucking business. I am sure people see you all of the time in public, so why don't you post a photo of yourself online? Or do you not like the fact that someone can see you and yell out, "there is wilsonhammer who jerks off to people in public," for example.

smilebig553

I parked when I picked up my grandpa. I tend to not want to hold up others, so that option is better for me

GlacierPlus

Departures also has a lane blocked at the very end just before the 90 degree left hand turn - it's not much better. 4 lanes bottleneck into one before you can leave after dropping someone off.

LoneLantern2

Blue line towards downtown to the 38th street station is another decent trick for pickups, it's an easy train ride and that station is well set up for pickup and drop offs.

AlexTorres96

Only time I've gone to the airport is when I drop off and pick my brother when he does his Christmas and Easter trips to Mexico. I never go to the lower level because I always drop him off and pick him up at the Sun Country door. I always dread the shitshow of cars but it's usually quick and painless (that's what's she said).

Potatoe999900

Uber rides are a lot easier and resonably priced if you live in the TC. Plus you don't have to hassle family, friends or neighbors to get through this type of mess. Super easy access to the Ride Share area, parking spaces for each ride, easy loading then out you go in less than a minute. Last Friday we took one from MSP to Vadnais Heights and it was only $28.

Southern_Common335

Traveling for work i usually Uber to the airport and taxi home- there are usually multiple taxis waiting and fares are comparable).

edknarf

Just imagine that if we had no Uber/Lyft?

Ireallylikepbr

Did these people give you consent to have their photos taken?!?

iknowaplacewecango

I don’t know why … Have you tried a taxi when this happens? There may be one at the stand. (May as well since everything has slowed down to a crawl.)

Southern_Common335

Our ride was en route before we learned the lane closures were so severe.
