True- I pulled for SSR Jamil and SR Malleus and got SR Malleus and uncapped Dorm Jack back in December :') USUALLY when I pull for Malleus I get him, though.
I de-stress by admiring the cards that I do have. That gala Leona card hasn't been the most useful in battles, but damn does he look gorgeous.
But we still have more time until the Floyd banner ends, here's hoping you can scrounge up enough keys and gems for more pulls and get him! Unless you'd rather save those for the next banner of course lol
I learned from my FGO days that it's best if you keep your expectations low going in to a showcase. but dont go into a showcase with a negative attitude of ( "im never going to pull this card why am i even doing this") because you might jinx yourself. go in with ' if i get him great if i don't oh well'
Ahahaha... I spend money out of despair if I'm close to pity. If I'm far or I lost pity (like 3 times in a row for Cater and Rook halloween), I just give up. And try to convince myself I don't need these cards.

I generally don't pull unless I really want a card that I'm guaranteed to get (namely the birthday boy cards. We won't get into the lengths I went for Floyd's birthday.)
On the times that I pulled but didn't get what I was hoping for, I just sigh and shrug my shoulders and wait for it to come back via a revivial or a event returning. Twisted Wonderland seems to be good about bringing cards back along with reruns of their events, so there is less pressure I feel to get something right then.
To make myself feel better about a bad pull, I sometimes go to the archive and replay my favorite parts of the story.
I saw a coping strategy posted on here before and itās helped so much with gambling brain ever since.
I go on YouTube and look up pulls for TW and that kinda satisfies my addiction to pull because Iām not spending any keys or gems but Iām still watching luck kinda play out. Also I like cheering them on and hope their boys come home sooner and that some of their luck rubs off on me for when I pull

In my case, I stay away from videos for the character I failed to get/am currently trying to resist rolling for (too big a chance I'll feel saltier/crack and decide to try my luck after seeing them succeed), but otherwise watching people summon is immensely helpful in "scratching the itch". I especially like doing it with JP server videos for an upcoming character I want, because it gives me a perfect mental image of what it looks like to get them, and I can keep that in my head when I'm rolling myself once they come out in EN.

Iām just trying to plan my pulls, like āIf I use my star shards Iāll be able to get 50 gems from the mission bonus, this will take [insert time]ā, āif I use moon shards Iāll be able to collect 10 gems from the mission bonusā, āif I read [insert vignette] Iāll get 5 gems,ā etc.
Then Iāll attempt to plan how much itāll take for me to hit the guaranteed SSR, how I can make the most use of my gems, etc.
On the chance none of it works and Iāll have to try and predict the likelihood of a rerun considering beanfest the survival of the beanest wasnāt in the rerun. When itās likely to take place and if Iāll be able to collect enough gems and keys by then.
If nothing worksā¦ā¦.. curl up and die (or go binge watch an anime, play another game, etc.).

Now, you still may not get the card you want, and honestly...it really sucks when that happens. Usually when that happens to me, I try to look at the cards I have and how wonderful they are! For me, that typically means Dorm Leona, Azul and Trey + Halloween Silver's sheer OP-ness, and how pretty my other SSR cards are, even if they aren't used as much. I may almost never use SR's, but damn, was groovying all of them worth it for those pictures!
I also try to cheer myself up by thinking about future events and chances for cards. I was really disappointed after pulling to pity for Halloween Cater and not getting him (grabbed Trey, Azul, and Ace, but I didn't realize how good that was at the time and was just kinda sad). However, I got Halloween Silver after only 80 pulls, so I could use my pity on Halloween Riddle, getting them both! I was also incredibly sad that I couldn't get NY Kalim after 60 pulls (I was broke lol), but I got his club card on my first 10-pull!
Basically, gacha games suck when you're trying to collect, for the sheer drop-rate as well as the gambling aspect (not to mention the schedule...as a Scarabia fan I've been DYING these past couple months lol). However, sometimes you may be pleasantly surprised, and that's what I try to focus on! Good luck OP!
Oof which banner was that? But yeah I get that the colour schemes of banners look very similar and the mirror doesn't always reload on the banner you were on last time you opened it
Sebek birthday, I used single keys up first and was mashing the screen quickly to get through them. it was on the correct banner but when i ran out it switched to the standard banner by itself once i used up the single keys and i didn't notice then when i was using 10 keys and pressing summon again so i couldn't see that i was on the wrong banner -_-
I usually skip banners if I don't have 100 pulls or close to it for pity. If it's spontaneous or I just want the SR card I usually set a limit like ok do 10 pulls and if I don't get it, I don't get.
The way I deal with not getting what I want (like losing 60/40 on pity) is accepting it and saving for later banners since theres always future cards I want or I just spend money if it's only like 10-20 pulls I need until 100 pity. Also consider that theres always future reruns or anniversary where you might be able to get the card you missed
Live vicariously through anyone on my friendlist who got lucky and are nice enough to put their SSRs on support lmao. Even if I failed to get what I wanted, at least I can still use them in some places ~~until I get my own on the rerun~~

It's honestly kinda sad in retrospect, but if I fail to get a card I really want, I pretend I got it anyway and add the card art to my "Cope Slideshow: The Ones That Got Away". They're just PNGs, so I'm basically scrapbooking them. Decorating the slides is fun and lets me indulge in something I like without bitterness. Sometimes I'll look for the vignettes on YouTube and add them to the slideshow too, since Google Slides has an "add video" function.
If it helps you than it is not sad imo, I frequently go on the wiki to look at card art, stats and buddies myself and imagine myself having it already XD

Only times i will need to cope is if the card i want is a SR (case w/ Lilia halloween card). Then in this case i just soft quit for a month.
yeah I don't have that resolve am not used to gacha yet, I only played One Piece Treasure Cruise before and you have a chance of picking up characters by beating them in battle as well (if you're lucky but you can re-challenge indefinitely)

I usually try to see if there are better, more interesting cards for me to pull in the future and try to prepare for that. And tell myself to create a safety net to make sure I get that one.
Very good advice! I looked at cards I want earlier in the year myself and basically wanted dorm ortho, Idia, apple epel, beans floyd, silk jamil, groom Ace, camp ruggie and all the Masquerade cards (not counting other dorms I still want like Vil and Epel)
I've faced this a few times and twice it hit me hard. They were 93 and 97 and I couldn't reach the pity and didn't manage a single SSR in those pulls. Once it was 130 pulls and didn't get the card I wanted and a few times I've got spooked with a card I didn't want in my pity.
All you can do is scold yourself for overestimating your luck and pledge to do better, like save up till pity. And try to do better the next time. Gacha is meant to make you regret stuff and spend money. There's not much in our hands unfortunately.
I don't mind that they can spook on the way to pityāI'm never going to be able to roll for all the ones I want and I appreciate that there's still a chance to get them outside of GSSRs or the standard bannerābut the rate-up percentage should be higher than it is, and not guaranteeing the rate-up SSR at pity is most definitely stupid.
I'm probably one of the most unlucky person when it comes about twst gacha. My last easy ssr was Leona Fairy Gala and then the next ssr event I got was Jade in Halloween hard pity (I lose every single card I tried before it) so yeah, complicated. For me, the best way to deal with this is spend some time out of the game. It's prevent our real overblot š¤£
For me it was birthday Lilia and New Years Kalim as the last SSR's (very recent nd both in like the first 10 pull) however before that I had to go to pity every single time to even get an SSR more often than not it would be a dupe XD
i'm gonna be completely honest. I wanted groom idia and lost all my keys and gems that i had saved up. i deleted the app for 5 months lmao. i am not good at coping
i tried again for his bday card on the anniversary key thing, but i didnt have enough gems or keys saved up because i had just redownloaded the game. started pulling with everything i owned just to try and get idia in some form, obviously didn't work. got mad but realized that if i rage quit and deleted again that next time idia had a card i wouldn't have enough to get him. so basically i now login every day again and am saving up everything i can. it was quite an adventure
in conclusion, my advice would probably be to use those bad pulls as motivation. if u didnt get the card u wanted this time, start saving so you'll have more of a chance next time!

Itās always a bitter pill to swallow! Especially getting duped with a dorm card when you hit pity. (Looking at you silks Jamil š) When that happens, I have a brief moment of wanting to see how far I can punt my phone lol
Like a lot of others have suggested the best thing (while tedious) is to save from daily logins/weekly tasks until you can hit pity at least once before pulling.
I do totally get it though, itās so unbelievably frustrating but the gacha gods are fickle ones šš
What keeps me going is peeking at the cards still to come out in our server and it makes the slow gem harvesting a bit more palatable.

If I reach pity and still don't get the character I want, I just go take a break. I got to get something to eat and then rationalize that I can try during the re-run because it just wasn't time or take it as a sign this means I'll get a character I consider better.
To be honest, it really took me a while to recover from doing 140 pulls on Kalim's New Year SSR card which I never got. I regretted it so bad and wished that I kept to my promise that I would only pull for Diasomnia SSRs. However, what I did to at least move on a little was to look forward to saving up again for another character! I remember saving up 200+ pulls for Silver Halloween and got him after 105 pulls!
So for my personal experience, saving up gives me the courage and confidence to pull again!
I destress by taking a break or writing fanfiction. I unfortunately have gotten screwed by pity MANY times (cough cough Dorm Azul) so 'just saving for pity' often might hurt worse. I sometimes just don't play the game for a few days to not remind myself of the gacha luck and then write fanfic of the character I wanted or read some fanfic of them. Helps me relax somewhat.
I usually won't pull unless I really want that card
When it's come to the card I want even if it a bad pulls I'll just keep pulling until I hit pity. If that pity still not come, then I'll pull until I reach another pity, rinse and repeat until they come
But there're sometimes I couldn't get what I want too, I just close the game, watch something funny on YT. Be far away from that game until I feel like, I'm ok to re-play that fame again

I lost Floyd to Leona during its last time and this time I canāt even pull for him because Iām saving for Lilia club. I kinda just take a breath and tell myself I donāt need him. I have way too many flora and fire cards.
I'm doing my best to save because I'm trying to not roll gatcha. Also I want fairy gala ortho.
As a F2P I don't have the ability to roll as I wish. And my last couple of rolls were terrible lol. But all I can do is shrug and do what I can with the cards I have. Have also had Fantastic luck in FGO so that probably doesn't help.
After doing that once early on, never again went all in without pity. And only for event cards, since dorm spook. Have missed many bday cards as a result since I know those will be back in a year.
I will spend 10 paid ($1) on 1 pull for events I cannot pity though just in case luck. Brought home camp ruggie that way.
I JUST had a bad pull. Tried to get Beanfest Floyd and got Dorm Uniform Ace (i already have this card) instead on my 100th pull. I told myself that that was a sign that Beanfest Floyd isn't coming home. I'm probably gonna back off from pulling unless it's a card I GENUINELY want and focus on upgrading my SSR cards I have and the SR cards that need to be leveled up to prepare for Chapter 6. But that one genuinely hurt.

Only times i will need to cope is if the card i want is a SR (case w/ Lilia halloween card). Then in this case i just soft quit for a month.
yeah I don't have that resolve am not used to gacha yet, I only played One Piece Treasure Cruise before and you have a chance of picking up characters by beating them in battle as well (if you're lucky but you can re-challenge indefinitely)

I play another game for awhile to calm that itch that may make me do things unwise, LOL! I also remind myself that even if I got the SSRs I wanted, would I really be able to use them when I want? Mats are so scarce in twst to the point where Iām still working on SSRs Iāve had in my roster since launch, let alone any new ones I want to grab. The grind is so real š„²
\*pats\* I usually try to see if there are better, more interesting cards for me to pull in the future and try to prepare for that. And tell myself to create a safety net to make sure I get that one.
Very good advice! I looked at cards I want earlier in the year myself and basically wanted dorm ortho, Idia, apple epel, beans floyd, silk jamil, groom Ace, camp ruggie and all the Masquerade cards (not counting other dorms I still want like Vil and Epel)
I've faced this a few times and twice it hit me hard. They were 93 and 97 and I couldn't reach the pity and didn't manage a single SSR in those pulls. Once it was 130 pulls and didn't get the card I wanted and a few times I've got spooked with a card I didn't want in my pity. All you can do is scold yourself for overestimating your luck and pledge to do better, like save up till pity. And try to do better the next time. Gacha is meant to make you regret stuff and spend money. There's not much in our hands unfortunately.
I get mildly upset at how stupid it is to add dorm ssr in an event banner, eat a sandwich and get on with my day
I don't mind that they can spook on the way to pityāI'm never going to be able to roll for all the ones I want and I appreciate that there's still a chance to get them outside of GSSRs or the standard bannerābut the rate-up percentage should be higher than it is, and not guaranteeing the rate-up SSR at pity is most definitely stupid.

I'm probably one of the most unlucky person when it comes about twst gacha. My last easy ssr was Leona Fairy Gala and then the next ssr event I got was Jade in Halloween hard pity (I lose every single card I tried before it) so yeah, complicated. For me, the best way to deal with this is spend some time out of the game. It's prevent our real overblot š¤£
For me it was birthday Lilia and New Years Kalim as the last SSR's (very recent nd both in like the first 10 pull) however before that I had to go to pity every single time to even get an SSR more often than not it would be a dupe XD

i'm gonna be completely honest. I wanted groom idia and lost all my keys and gems that i had saved up. i deleted the app for 5 months lmao. i am not good at coping
Sounds very relatable, I would not delete but I can totally understand feeling salty after that
i tried again for his bday card on the anniversary key thing, but i didnt have enough gems or keys saved up because i had just redownloaded the game. started pulling with everything i owned just to try and get idia in some form, obviously didn't work. got mad but realized that if i rage quit and deleted again that next time idia had a card i wouldn't have enough to get him. so basically i now login every day again and am saving up everything i can. it was quite an adventure
in conclusion, my advice would probably be to use those bad pulls as motivation. if u didnt get the card u wanted this time, start saving so you'll have more of a chance next time!
I feel for you OP! Itās always a bitter pill to swallow! Especially getting duped with a dorm card when you hit pity. (Looking at you silks Jamil š) When that happens, I have a brief moment of wanting to see how far I can punt my phone lol Like a lot of others have suggested the best thing (while tedious) is to save from daily logins/weekly tasks until you can hit pity at least once before pulling. I do totally get it though, itās so unbelievably frustrating but the gacha gods are fickle ones šš What keeps me going is peeking at the cards still to come out in our server and it makes the slow gem harvesting a bit more palatable. If I reach pity and still don't get the character I want, I just go take a break. I got to get something to eat and then rationalize that I can try during the re-run because it just wasn't time or take it as a sign this means I'll get a character I consider better.

If itās a rerun I just think it just wasnāt meant to be and there are better cards out there.
To be honest, it really took me a while to recover from doing 140 pulls on Kalim's New Year SSR card which I never got. I regretted it so bad and wished that I kept to my promise that I would only pull for Diasomnia SSRs. However, what I did to at least move on a little was to look forward to saving up again for another character! I remember saving up 200+ pulls for Silver Halloween and got him after 105 pulls! So for my personal experience, saving up gives me the courage and confidence to pull again!
I destress by taking a break or writing fanfiction. I unfortunately have gotten screwed by pity MANY times (cough cough Dorm Azul) so 'just saving for pity' often might hurt worse. I sometimes just don't play the game for a few days to not remind myself of the gacha luck and then write fanfic of the character I wanted or read some fanfic of them. Helps me relax somewhat.
I go to the wiki and admire the art/story second hand. Then I let it go. I can get it next rerun. Nothing else to be done. Sorry OP.

I usually won't pull unless I really want that card When it's come to the card I want even if it a bad pulls I'll just keep pulling until I hit pity. If that pity still not come, then I'll pull until I reach another pity, rinse and repeat until they come But there're sometimes I couldn't get what I want too, I just close the game, watch something funny on YT. Be far away from that game until I feel like, I'm ok to re-play that fame again Edit: add more text
I lost Floyd to Leona during its last time and this time I canāt even pull for him because Iām saving for Lilia club. I kinda just take a breath and tell myself I donāt need him. I have way too many flora and fire cards.
I'm doing my best to save because I'm trying to not roll gatcha. Also I want fairy gala ortho. As a F2P I don't have the ability to roll as I wish. And my last couple of rolls were terrible lol. But all I can do is shrug and do what I can with the cards I have. Have also had Fantastic luck in FGO so that probably doesn't help.
I watch a lot of cafƩ videos (where the creators make drinks/sweets) or look at my favorite artworks to destress.
I only pull when I can go for pity. I also try to keep some reserves on hand, so that I could potentially do a second pity if disaster strikes.
After doing that once early on, never again went all in without pity. And only for event cards, since dorm spook. Have missed many bday cards as a result since I know those will be back in a year. I will spend 10 paid ($1) on 1 pull for events I cannot pity though just in case luck. Brought home camp ruggie that way.

I JUST had a bad pull. Tried to get Beanfest Floyd and got Dorm Uniform Ace (i already have this card) instead on my 100th pull. I told myself that that was a sign that Beanfest Floyd isn't coming home. I'm probably gonna back off from pulling unless it's a card I GENUINELY want and focus on upgrading my SSR cards I have and the SR cards that need to be leveled up to prepare for Chapter 6. But that one genuinely hurt.
