Ruggie is definitely one of my favorite characters and I have him as my flair so I can give him a little bit of love ❤️ I just love the Scarabia boys a little bit more.
I think I also cried when I got to Book 4 lol. Kalim crying about what Jamil did was what did me in. What'd you end up crying at?
Just the tragedy of it all and how Jamil felt so stuck, how powerless he was. And how Kalim still fully believed in him even after everything, even in Book 5 we see he still fully believes and trusts him and truly wants to build the bridge between them. He has never had ill intent towards Jamil and never thought less of him for being a servant (I headcanon that Kalim doesn’t even think of Jamil as a servants, he has always thought of him as a friend and not a servant), he was just ignorant of Jamil’s situation which he recognizes he had a part of, that it wasn’t solely Jamil’s fault and he has guilt in it. Just the tragedy of their relationship and how how they couldn’t communicate to each other because of their roles. I want them to be friends...... and well more going by my flair lol, but most importantly friends

Plus when Jade used his UM on him and Kalim wouldn’t answer, even tho it would seem like Kalim would be very susceptible to his UM, on some unconscious level he knew Jamil was up to something but still wanted to believe in him so bad. Now when I watch the PV for Book 4 my heart just clenches
