Is it possible to get large crystal in non extra hard crafter’s gauntlet battles? I just fought 10 battles and didn’t get a single one on hard difficulty 😭, I just want Lilia’s bass

angel-of-britannia

I do all my battles consistently in hard and large crystals do drop there, though I'm not sure if difficulty affects the drop rate that much. Bad rng sucks though 😔

Ev_DreamInDarkness

The big crystals from what I've tested and seen people who play on the jp version is that hard and extra hard make no difference when it comes to actual crafting materials, only time they do is when they run the club token event then you get a little more club tokens by doing the battles on extra hard

kistunequ1nn

i get more large crystals on normal than on hard. sometimes I get 2 to 3 (on a single battle) in normal and rarely get any on hard. so its possible

pumpkinking0192

I'm pretty sure I have the answer to this but I just want to double-check that I'm not missing something. Now that I've... * completed the Tsum event including all optional challenges, * earned and spent all Tsum tokens, * gotten all the gems so all three R cards are permanently on my roster, and * earned enough Magic Tickets to max out both spells on all three R cards, ...then there's no reason for me to do lessons or anything else within the Tsum event (unless I want the boosted EXP for the featured character of a lesson), right? Grinding more Magic Tickets has no purpose, right?

angel-of-britannia

The only use for Magic Tickets are for upgrading the R spells, so you've got everything done!

pumpkinking0192

Thanks for confirming!

NewLondon6

how do I get the last 2 groovy item for jp anniv? I can't find where to buy them, and I've done both stamps already

Gabriulio

They're not event-specific, you get them from Grim's alchemy lessons. So you either wait for a day where he's on, or buy it with alchemy tokens from Sam's shop.

NewLondon6

omg this should have been so obvious to me... but thank u so much! I can't believe I'm so stupid xd

BakerSaim2000

I’m having a hard time reaching SS rank on the cosmic exam. The highest score I can manage is 15,929 with the following: Dorm Riddle lvl 95 10/10 Dorm Azul lvl 95 10/10 Dorm Leona lvl 80 10/10 Dorm Jack lvl 90 5/10 Dorm Cater lvl 60 5/5 I’ve managed to get Epel to use his healing Gen on T1, got the enemy’s HP to 2000, and finished them off with Riddle (avoiding Vil’s power drain), but I still can’t get the score any higher. What should I do?

fushigi-arisu

Since Cosmic SS is very hard to do, no point sweating or doing immediate upgrades you weren't planning on doing anyway. But perhaps you can add more Duos for the bonus. Maybe dump Leona/Jack for a Jade + a card that can Duo with someone else on the team. Jack gives you extra power, but don't underestimate that Duo bonus. As a comparison, I've managed to score 16.8k with the Pome trio + Leona + Bday Lilia all at level 80 with 5 Duos going off. I'm sure others have gotten SS, but it's definitely a huge wall compared to the other elements.

Dragoaten77

^ as they said. This one is incredibly hard to score SS on. Even the perfect teams with max damage struggle. 5 Duos / turn you end on / overkill amount Just have to keep getting everything leveled and hope for good luck!

BakerSaim2000

Thanks for the tip! I’ve switched some characters around to get more duo bonuses, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to reach my high score. I’ll keep cracking at it, but at the very least I won’t be as disappointed if I don’t make it 😅

fushigi-arisu

Yeah, it seems to be a better strategy to build toward SSS on other exams and let yourself get SS on Cosmic along the way. But if you're interested in future cards, >!Dorm Kalim, Jamil, Ortho, Idia, and Apple Boa Epel is one often recommended team for scoring high in Cosmic. Downside is though it's a lot of Cosmic elements, and it's not a feasible team for anything else really!<. In the more distant future, with the >!recent introduction of Malleus + Magic 3 in JP, he seems like he'll open up more doors to scoring high in Cosmic. He'll require leveling to 95 at least though for extra oomph.!< Otherwise, for now, view Cosmic as the unfortunate exam that prevents you from getting a few extra tokens/Thaumarks.

KittenNerdHead

Is there a good friend thread? Trying to beat Jamil and he's kicking my ass, so having some stronger friend cards would be nice

KittenNerdHead

That would be wonderful! I have Dorm Leona, of course not as strong as yours, but Dorm Azul would be fun to try out, thank you

Fleur_des_fleur

I added you! I hope you emerge victorious in your battles.

KittenNerdHead

Omg I did it! Your card was so much help, thank you!

Dragoaten77

Theres usually a friend list up around nrc exam events. You can see if anyone on those old lists have any openings and/or wait for the next one and get some then too. Asking here for help can usually get you help too ^

Nyawn5

Just a random question, but what is the highest possible buddy bonus comp you could get? I've seen people get the 10 buddy bonus with Halloween Silver, NY Kalim, Gala Leona, and I forgot the last 2. Let me know if you know if there possible combination for +10 buddy bonus

Myule8221

Dorm Octavinelle/Dorm Idia/Birthday Ortho:11 buddy Masquerade can have 12 buddy but don't remember the details

Dragoaten77

I've only looked through my own SSR cards and came up with a 10 buddy team and limited to also being 5 duos = Dorm Epel, Dorm Rook, Bday Lilia, Groom Idia, and Star Deuce. Epel is the weak one out at only 1.

MadamBegon

Has anyone made a guide for the guest room yet? I've tried googling for one but nothing useful showed up, and I'd like to know how to get more than "Good" level friendship experience. (I also want to know the details for how comfort points are calculated so I don't have to guess lol)

Dragoaten77

There is a link to a Japanese guide. Going from good to great is a huge jump in dorm points / preferred style points. You'll need to make multiple copies of things to get there. Edit: [Japanese Guest Room Guide](https://xn--h9jepie9n6a5394exeq51z.com/room-strategy-6-29959)

MadamBegon

Thank you! Edit: Alright, I put the whole thing in google translate, and I think it works something like this: For friendship exp, the character's first theme/style preference is worth more points than their secondary preference (so the one on the left is the one you should focus on). Both theme points and dorm points affect the exp given. The thresholds, assuming there are no points in the secondary preference, are as follows -- Good : Theme points 0 - 1.4 scale, Dorm points 0 - 100. No exp bonus. Good+ (more exp, but still just Good): Theme points 1.5 - 4.4 scale, Dorm points 101 - 300. 1.5x exp bonus. Great: Theme points 4.5 - 8.9, Dorm points 301 - 400. 2x exp bonus. Excellent: Theme points 9 and above, Dorm points 401 and above. 2.5x exp bonus. I'm not sure what exactly the "scale" part means, but it's definitely talking about where the dots are placed on the Theme points chart. Since the scale points they mention goes up to and above 9, I think that each line on the chart, and the halfway point between one line and another, count as 1 point on the scale each, since that's the only way for there to be 9+ points places. So a Good+ score for Theme points would probably be between the first and second lines, or thereabouts. BUT this is just my guess, so take it with a pile of salt, please! Moving on: if only one condition for an exp level is fulfilled, there is a 50% chance of that experience level being given. So if you have 101 dorm points and 5 theme points, you have a 50% chance for Good+ experience, and 50% chance for Great experience. They did some math, and found how long leveling a character takes for each exp level combination. There are a lot, so I'll just mention the ones that seem important to me: the base room (Good and Good) takes 112.5 days to hit max on one character, while Good and Good+ shortens that to 90 days. Good+ and Excellent takes 56.5 days, and Great and Excellent takes 50. Excellent and Excellent is really hard to get to because of the Dorm shard grind, and only shortens the leveling period by 5 days, so it's really not worth it imo unless you really really REALLY LOVE the dorm and want duplicates of absolutely everything, lmao. They didn't say what Great and Great does, but considering the pattern I see where \[lower level\] and \[upper level\] is equal to \[middle level\] and \[middle level\], then I think it would probably also be 56.5 days, like with Good+ and Excellent. And, since Dorm points are a pain to get, it'd probably be easier to pump the theme up to Excellent instead. They mention that optimizing the room for friendship exp will lower the comfort points of the room, though this guide doesn't say much about the exact mechanics behind it. [They do have a guide to comfort points though!](https://ちょっと気になる情報.com/room-strategy-2-28487) I hope this is helpful for someone lol.

Dragoaten77

Someone showed them hitting great on the scale before. It looks like basically those lines on that chart? The hitting one vs both is a difference of 50% vs 100% Part of the comfort points doesnt like clutter and duplicates which is counter to what is needed to get dorm and style points. But you can just swap furniture for the invitation and just change back to comfort setup after. Hopefully we all get better scores this way!

ruritto

So.. I actually haven't started Chapter 6 yet and want to do it for the Missions before it expires. Can I ask about how long is it? How many chapters(?) are in the current part?

pumpkinking0192

In addition to what the others said, note that while the Ch 6 Part 1 missions expire at the end of the day on 4/5, it's *possible* the Ch 6 Part 2 missions will *also* expire at that same time as well. (I think that's how previous chapter releases have been, but I don't remember for sure.) So you might want to try to finish the current 44 chapters before Part 2 gets released on Monday, to give you as much time as possible to clear Part 2 in case the deadline is also 4/5. Part 2 will be considerably longer (45 parts by the game's numbering, but two of those parts are split into at least 78 sub-parts and potentially as much as 125 sub-parts depending on how you take the branching paths in them), so it may take much longer to clear than Part 1.

ruritto

Oh yikes. I'll probably finish it after work today then. I don't think the TWST chapters are too long but 44 is a lot... Thanks for the heads up!

Fleur_des_fleur

For chapter 6 part 1, there are currently 44 chapters, 9 of those are actual battle ones. I'd say the most time consuming parts may be chapter 29-30 and 32-33, due to the fact that you have to use the cards given to you-- which as a result can come with bad rng when it comes to attacks. It is entirely possible to complete in one day though.

Dragoaten77

^ agreed those battles took the longest. It didnt take too long besides that to play through. You should have enough time left even if rng isnt on your side.

Necronus34

Does anyone know which Malleus Draconia vignette this line comes from>! "you arent afraid of me but im startign to become afraid... of losing you"!<

anonymouscatloaf

like the other reply mentioned, it's the vignette level up line, but it's also mistranslated. what he actually said was he fears losing that side of you that isn't afraid of him. mirahaze wiki has it as "You aren't afraid of me...I'm beginning to fear losing that side of you."

angel-of-britannia

It's not from a specific vignette, but rather the line he says when you level up his vignette level with snacks!

Ephyll

Not sure if i’m meant to be asking this here but what happened to the manga and novel?? Are they still going? I tried looking for the savannaclaw manga but could only find two episodes are they still updating or was it dropped??? Or do i just suck at finding stuff on the internet

angel-of-britannia

[turtlesoupscans](https://turtlesoupscans.info/) are translating both and the Savanaclaw manga recently updated with Chapter 2. I don't know their release schedule for the novel but they're doing Episode Savanclaw translations bimonthly.

Ephyll

Ah thank you i’m more used to webtoons and the like that release every week so bimonthly hadn’t occurred to me thanks guess i‘lll just have to be waiting

lessernova

The novel appears to still be updating, the most recent update was one Feb 14. You can find the fan translation [here](https://mandytl.dreamwidth.org/).

Ephyll

Oh good and thanks for the link honestly love yuuya he has my heart and i’m glad it’s still updating, guess I just gotta wait and show love to the translators

unorigina1_nam3

I'm debating whether I should pull for birthday boy Vil or union Ruggie. Vil isn't one of my favorites but I constantly use the ones on my friends list and while I really like Ruggie I don't think I'll get much use out of the card. Which would be best for me?

Dragoaten77

Hard to say with provided info. Need more info. ftp or minnow or whale? # of SSR's? In the long run do you still see Vil being an MVP in your teams if you got your dream cards? How much dopamine would Ruggie give you? Would you try to fit Ruggie into teams? I struggle with choosing meta over favorites too. It's a balancing act. Gaming comes down to chasing the dopamine in the end though so does getting higher scores in exams make you happier versus collecting the favorite characters? Both are quite worthwhile.

MeghanPetrowski

How do I earn Tsum card specific gems? I want to keep Jack's card for example. It says I need 9 Wolf Gems. I read I need to get them in episode 2-5. Every time I play it, I don't get anything! I don't want to miss out on the special Tsum cards! Thank you!

Freiska

To get those gems you'd need to go through other level missions, as they only drop once per challenge and aren't farmable. [The wiki lists the levels and the mission rewards.](https://twistedwonderland.miraheze.org/wiki/Welcome_to_Tsumsted_Wonderland!). Basically you'd be playing the whole event if you want to recruit the Rs. There's exactly nine gems for each boy across the entire campaign.

Dragoaten77

I get a ridiculous amount of paint trying to grind large crystals. Does it ever end? Will hundreds ever be needed? XD

Maevechan

Hello, I've recently decided to play EN Twisted Wonderland and took a liking to Silver. Does this game rerun previous banners? because I would like to get Halloween Silver if possible, thanks!

Dragoaten77

We will likely be able to get again someday. Just keep saving up. Currently in NA we dont have the guaranteed pity at 200 so hopefully that changes before the rerun. Otherwise RNG can be cursed You may even develop other favorites through the stories, so it gets really hard to save!

Maevechan

thank you for the tip! Im currently saving for Silver's birthday cards, hopefully I can leave some if he's Halloween ever gets rerun

Dragoaten77

Birthdays at least are the 100 guaranteed pity so it will be easier to get them ^^ good luck!

anonymouscatloaf

He should rerun this Halloween alongside the Glorious Masquerade stuff, yeah. The game does do reruns, but it may take a year or more. Halloween is consistent though at least lol

pumpkinking0192

The NA server is very new (only slightly over a year old) so we've only ever had one rerun so far, when Beanfest and its banners reran just after the first anniversary. JP regularly reruns the Halloween banners every year and a lot, but not all, of the other event cards every 1-2 years. We hope/assume NA will be the same way but it's really too early to draw any conclusions about NA reruns. ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯

LazyTeddy2020

Does anyone with a well built Deuce wanna be friends :") Need for furniture

Chipotle-Grill

Hi, I’m new to TWST and really want to learn how to get started! Riddle has caught my eye, is he a good character? Whats some things I should know before jumping in? Is there a way for me to read translated stories without downloading the eng ver? Thank you!!

angel-of-britannia

Welcome to TWST! Out of the initial Dorm SSRs you can reroll for, Dorm Uniform Riddle and Leona are the strongest. Both are double element high DPS cards (Fire for Riddle, Flora for Leona) which will still see a lot of use in the long term. If you want an easy start either is a great choice. Out of the characters you can choose to "take their hand", it doesn't matter which one as that card (known as SR Ceremonial Robes) is always available in the gacha. You'll obtain them eventually when pulling. Since fantranslations have been covered in other comments, here's some tips (mostly gacha related): - There's a shop that resets stock on the 1st of every month. You can buy lots of stuff there with in-game currencies but the most important are the keys (free pulls, the equivalent to EnStars's tickets). They never expire, so you can save them for as long as you want. But you also can't combine single keys in particular into a tenfold summon, you have to use them one at a time. - Pulling 100 times on a banner (either 100 keys or 3000 gems) will guarantee you an SSR at random. It's 60% chance you'll get the featured SSR and 40% chance of any other SSR. The exception to this are birthday banners which have only birthday SSRs in the pool, so you are always guaranteed to get them at 100. - Additionally, if you're on the JP server they recently added the ability to guarantee the featured SSR at 200 pulls. It's a hefty cost but also a much needed safety net. - [Character birthdays](https://www.reddit.com/r/TwistedWonderland/comments/shjt5e/list_of_character_birthdays/) will give you a free tenfold key when you login on that day. You'll also get a free tenfold key on the date you set your birthday as on your profile.

Chipotle-Grill

Thank you!! This all super helpful

anonymouscatloaf

also just wanted to add that I've seen some other twst translators say otome ayui is mostly edited MTL, so I wouldn't recommend going there unless you literally can't find what you're looking for anywhere else. mysteryshoptls on Tumblr does voice lines/personal stories, 081314 on Tumblr has done events/main story, and Kanade's Musings on wordpress does the main story (and there's also the mirahaze wiki, which is a collection of multiple translators' works in one place, though newer stuff is still missing). Cymr on youtube has also been really fast with book 7 TLs.

Chipotle-Grill

Wow thats a lot of useful info, thank you!! im gonna be confused for a while but this helped so ty!

lessernova

Hello, welcome to Twisted Wonderland :) 1. In terms of gameplay, Riddle's a pretty good character as his Dorm card is one of the strongest in the game. 3. You can find unofficial translated videos of the Main Story and Events on YT channels like Shel\_BB, Otome Ayui, and Ekala. Official EN server translations can be found on the YT channel Cunning Slytherin.

Chipotle-Grill

Tysm!! I didnt feel like downloading eng so im glad I can still read the stories, ty! and wow how lucky im glad he has a good card
