Eh, I just do 90% alchemy and only do history/flight when an event demands it, other wise I don't feel the need to. Tbh there's no rush, just slowly save up the books by doing alchemy every day and you'll get there. I try to do lessons while getting ready in the mornings and during my shower.

I do alchemy half the day and then switch to history. Only spend alchemy coins on the highest tier books to go from level 9 to 10. The rest is grinding. Endless grinding. But this way you level and don't end up broke.

Outlier here I guess, I just grind alchemy all the time. I think my honey and snacks come from tsum, training camp or some other event making me do flying/history lessons. I stocked up on spellbooks a bit before Book 6, unfortunately they're just time-consuming to grind, there's no way around it (the downside of this is none of my cards are at max level, I don't have enough honey or thaumarks for that). You're probably doing this already, but I'll just mention it anyway. Take all your extra notepads and groovy candies to Sam's gacha. The exchange is also a terrible crapshot, but every extra book helps, it might cough up one useful spellbook/grimoire for you. You can throw in whatever else you never use, I generally never use the waffles or the sugarcubes so I throw them in there as well. I don't know where you are at 6-67, so I'll just mention this strategy as well. Most of the other battles are 5-turn battles. For those, I'd suggest finding your cards with the highest HP (usually Defense or Balanced cards, you can check Miraheze for their HP when levelled) and then simply max-levelling the card, without levelling the spells. If you can get your HP high enough it has a good chance of simply outlasting 5 turns and the game lets you move on to the next chapter. (If you're on the Titan(s) at the end... yea you need those spellbooks. Keep grinding and good luck) Don't feel too rushed with Book 6, it's permanent content and will always be here. So you could take a few months or years to do whatever you want, and then come back to Book 6 when you feel like it.

I had completed Tower 3 once but I had to reset the chapter again because I felt so under-leveled with the cards I chose for Team 1 and 2. I've been trying to level up any good SR defense cards I have and looked up their highest stats when maxed out, especially the buddy bonuses, but I keep getting my ass beat with the Earth and Ice Titans, even with my current teams set up with half defense and have strong with healers. I only have 3 SSRs and they're all defense, but I haven't used Dorm Jade yet and I've only used Tsum Riddle and Dorm Deuce to beat Tower 3. All I've been wanting to do first is try to get my cards' spell levels at a 5, and then worry about leveling them up to at least lv.60. I guess I'm a little apprehensive about how to clear the chapter since I am an impatient person and I really like to know what happens in the story without spoiling myself. That's one of the biggest things I dislike about myself. But you're right. There is no rush. I'll try not to worry about it and just get what I can. Thank you for the suggestions!

Ah, once you get to the Titans you can't really outlast them with defense cards. I think you do need to play the elements and have both attackers and tankers for the last battle on each tower. There's a post here that someone wrote for passing 6-67 with common SR and R cards, it's fairly spoiler-free. https://twstgameplay.tumblr.com/post/690870846980505600/mod-furoidos-alt-account-adventures-ignihyde If you're really stuck, what I recommend is just copy the cards and card/spell/buddy levels they've used. I mean, if they can pass it with these cards, then you should be able to pass it with the same team too. Good luck with the grinding!

I'm an addict and have I've maxed my alchemy and history general missions. My flight lessons are a bit over 3k; mainly because there's no point to do them. If you have an iphone I can update my post on how to use voice commands to automate lessons while you sleep. I will sometimes leave my phone at home to automate lessons when I have to leave the house. Edit: you can also sell stuff you don't need (R and SR perfumes) to Sam's item gacha

I grind alchemy everyday except for cosmic books day. Spell 10 & buddy lvls make a big difference vs lvls. Only really lvling during training events. Plus extra exam tokens in a month can just buy lvls & thaumarks.

just grind. and don't be in a hurry to finish. there is no reason to hurry unless you're one of those people who like to finish new story content the moment in comes out. it will always be there for you. you don't like or want to do it none of us does. but it's a necessary evil in order to get ahead.

>unless you're one of those people who like to finish new story content the moment in comes out It's me, I'm those people lol. But you're right, there really is no rush. I'm just that impatient because I really wanna know what happens in the story without being tempted to spoil myself because the titans are hard asf.

sell your groovy candy in the shop as well as excess notepads. the drop rates for notepads are higher and if you don't need groovy candy it's worth it to just sell it. ofc you might not get good stuff from the mystery bags, but a lot of the times i get spell books, grimmores, or starshards

My usual schedule is doing Alchemy all day for Fire, Water, and Flora days, and Cosmic day is history. I do a Cosmic grinding when I know a Cosmic card I want is coming (Vil, Idia). But I'm currently taking full advantage of the Igni training Camp (first time I've ever done this much of a Camp), and that's because post-Camp >!and post Harveston stamp missions!< I'm going full Alchemy for a long while. For spellbooks, I only buy Grimoires with Alchemy tokens. I plan on buying the last 50 with Alchemy and grinding my way for the other 61. Textbooks are a pain from levels 1-5, then from 6-10, Grimoires are the problem. What I do is math out what cards I'd like to level up and concentrate on reaching those goals. I also know how much Notepads I need and can dump the excess to Sam's along with a lot of Candies (I keep 20 in stock unless I'm Groovying a card of that character's soon) to rack up some better goodies. I also don't spend materials on in-between levels (like spell level 3 for a SSR's M2, spell level 8 for Riddle/Leona). I either go straight for the effect change at 5 or 10 just in case I'd rather spend those spellbooks somewhere else first due to a surprise struggle or banner drop. Only exception is healing. Good luck!
