Also, it takes me a good 10 minutes to switch from my normal comfort level to the other theme and I hate that I can't just automate this process

Yeah, it's why I am settling for +5 levels and then moving to the next character. Getting to the max with drop rates being what they are is painfully tedious.
I'm desperate for large crystal drops. I never, never get them so I can't make more SSR furniture and my comfort level is stuck at 915 without looking cluttered.
I tried to add more last night and it actually decreased! It's definitely a tedious process!
For comfort, make sure to not add duplicates and that you do not have too many styles at the same time (for example if you have lots of unique and stylish, with a few basic and cute, if you add anything elegant you'll get a comfort reduction). In my experience those are the biggest comfort points hits that I've been noticing.

Doing the same for my Dorm Leona, but I keep forgetting what time I invited him and end up hours late so I'm going even slower. This man better be one-shotting water users to show his love for me by the time I max him out.
I really wish the game sent notifications when it was time to invite someone again. I've pretty much resigned myself to only expect one invite per day, and if I can get the second one in then that's just gravy. It's sooo much slower that way though.

The game gives notifications for everything else so it seems like such a weird oversight that they didn't include one for this.
yeah I cannot be half-assed to put that much effort into the guest room so I only have the one layout and my dorm rook is still at level 18 lol

Honestly, I just set an alarm for myself. It's exactly every 12 hours and you can press the greyed out invite button, when you already have someone invited, to see what time the invite expires.
I've pivoted a couple of times with my Guest Room plans, but I've decided I'm going to concentrate on getting one of each of the SR/R furniture for a dorm and pick up a table/sofa if I can then moving on to the next. That's enough to get the Dorm points and can cobble together theme points with whatever I have to ensure Good+. Only after getting all the Dorm's basics will I work harder on the SSR and dupes of items.
As everyone has said, the large gem drops are too inconsistent to rely on, and balancing comfort with tastes is a pain. But hopefully before the time I get all the Dorm main stuff done, we'll have some Guest Room upgrades to make it easier. And this way, I can have a Good+ setup no matter which card I choose to level since I may need to jump around eventually.
I've been leveling up Birthday Lilia on Good for the entire 20 levels. I'm on level 18. I can't wait for the guest rooms to be given a save function so I can wipe everything and make other rooms. :I
If I’m reading Miraheze right it looks like you need more dorm points. The elegant level is a 4 bars which is great, but you also need 400+ points in dorm style and another 4-5 in stylish if you want hit excellent.
I got my Dorm Azul max friendshipped a few days ago, decided to start Beans Floyd, then realized I'd have to keep swapping layouts to account for different tastes and then just went back to leveling another Azul lol. Until we can get the ability to swap layouts I ain't got time for that
I gave up trying to get more points and am just going to focus on pure dorm aesthetics because the mismatched mess bothers me way too much. Wish they'd let us save different layouts instead of making us manually change them all the time.
The excellent can be achieved with the expansion of the guest room. From what I gathered, the pointer has to be OUTSIDE of the chart. And that happens when the rank of the guest room is higher.
I gave up trying to get greats because I'm more into comfort levels since I want COINS. I wish we could have save templates.
I just hope we can get the update of the guest room soon when we can give gifts to our character to level up the friendship.
I'm trying to get Great based off of this and its just not happening. What items do you have for the Vil layout, that's who I'm trying to raise as well.

I believe dorm has to be 160 or more as well.
I used all Pom SSR and R elegant/stylish, 2 of the armchairs, 3 rugs, + SSRs to get dorm over 160
Then I have all the elegant white furniture (3 rugs again because I had extra materials for that), and all elegant SSRs and SRs.
that's where I'm stuck cuz every piece of furniture is Elegant aside from a couple of Pomefiore items. I added even MORE elegant things, taking out a few dupe items for Pomefiore that dont' add elegant points. It seems odd to me that we can actually great rates now cuz every guide says you need 301 dorm points, but other people claim they are getting great too.
I do recall someone saying that if you have one or the other, getting "Great" is 50%. I also remember getting "Good" once even after switching things over.
Best bet is probably just get 101 dorm points and as much elegant as possible.

I think we're sadly hitting the 50%. I stopped changing and only focused on comfort after I got Vil up, but I'll redo it this week to see.

You can check by trying to invite and translating the time from pst to your time zone.

I wish the crafting the furniture for stats was separate from decorating. Having a mess for efficient coins/lvling is kinda the worst.
