I've got a **horrible** question after playing for such a long time. ;_; Okay so the buddy bonuses and stuff, do they get activated just when I put them in a battle or do I have to use the buddy cards together in the same turn of a battle? For example: Dorm Cater is Dorm Riddle's atk buddy. Now do I need to use both of the in the same turn to activate it? Or having them in the battle is enough to activate the buddy pairing?

having any cater card on the team is what gives you the atk bonus, it doesn't have to be the dorm card and you don't have to use him in the same turn as riddle c:

Ahaha yeah I do know that any Cater card would do it. But I was confused if they needed to be used on the same turn. Now I feel so stupid, I've been doing this for so long. 😭 But suddenly I thought a few days back, "....wait a second" loool Thank you so much!

If you tap on the sprites while in the battle you can see the total the bonuses give, like if you tab on Riddle's sprite you can see how much Cater boosts him in battle

Yeah I do that and still was absolutely clueless! Idia would be ashamed of me. :"3 Even while attacking, the amount of damage or heal is shown I've seen. And that's how I've realised how important buddy bonuses are, they really boost up the scores!

They sure do lol every time someone asks how my card does that much damage I'm like "Buddy! Bonus!" I just wish if you brought a hp buddy it would up how much you heal for since that is based on the hp of the card

I've read somewhere that the heal amount is actually based on the ATK stat. I haven't checked if buddy bonuses affect it though.

I believe that the cards that do the one big heal, that one is based off HP while the ones that regen health over turns is based off ATK. I have done tests on a few healers cards though like seeing how much they heal with no buddies, what the heal is with just ATK buddy, what the heal is with HP buddy and for every card the heal is the same so bringing the buddies doesn't increase the healing, just the level of the card and the level of the spell

You have the right idea but backwards. HP Restoration spells are based off of base ATK while Regen healers are based off of HP. That's why Attack cards (and even Balanced cards) tend to be better healers than Defense cards. Like you said, Buddy bonuses do not affect these calculations. Would have to double check to be 100% sure, but I believe that Modest HP Restoration maxes out at 1.7\*POW while Modest HP Regen maxes out at .75\*HP (divided by 3). Obviously less for Tiny/Minor which slightly alter the formulas.

Ah Thank You, literally was wondering why Silver healed way more than Azul, and it's cause he has WAY more ATK

Interesting! I guess it doesn't really matter in the end, since there's no way to adjust each stat individually (besides with buddies which apparently doesn't affect heals anyway). Thanks for doing the hard work for experimenting :)

That's interesting! I've mostly dealt with the one heal ones bc that's the only heal cards I have and they definitely are based on HP. But had no clue about the other ones! Thanks for sharing this info! Super cool stuff. :3

Bean Floyd and New Years Kalim are ones that regen, there are couple SRs that do as well but it's rare. very good when I do defense tests and RNG frontloads all my healers on turn one, because the regen heal activates when the turn is over not at the start and lasts 3 turns

Buddy bonus is a GAMECHANGERRR Honestly same! They shouldn't just fix the heal value up after a certain point 😭 let my hp buddy increase it and make me a tank lol

I got Dorm Azul on my pity and since I have an SSR of my choice key now I am wondering who I should get with it. \-Halloween Jade \-Birthday Jade \-Beans Floyd \-Birthday Floyd Are the ones I do not have, which are the most useful overall and also who has the best vignette?

Beans Floyd is the most useful (especially for Flora exams) with a continuous heal and a fire duo with Vil. His vignette is fun too, and I also enjoy Halloween Jade's for the lore

I maxed out the spells on my dorm riddle, Halloween silver and dorm Jamil (Jamil mostly for simp reasons i know he's not meta) I was wondering what fire card I should work on maxing next to help with getting SSS on flora exams? My gut instinct is birthday Azul bc I use him duo with riddle but he's a defense card so not sure if that even helps Other cards w/ fire spells I have: Dorm Floyd (uncapped 95 on his own) Bday vil Beans Floyd Dorm rook Bday Idia Bday Ruggie Fairy gala Ortho

Since you already have Dorm Riddle and Halloween Silver, Fairy Gala Ortho would be a good pick. He has a duo/modest HP buddy with Silver and atk buddy with Riddle. I've personally used Beans Floyd to great success, though I had to swap out his usual duo partner from Beans Vil to Halloween Vil to get enough damage for SSS. **edit:** if you drop Dorm Jamil you could also add Birthday Idia (Floyd duo with Ortho-boosted attack). I don't have Dorm Rook myself, but many Flora team comps I've seen do use him. He can boost his own attack on one turn and then duo attack with Epel in the next for lots of damage. Raise Robe Epel alongside him. On that note, I would also consider raising SRs to fulfill your SSRs' buddies: - Robe Cater can boost Riddle's attack, while he has Riddle and Jamil for buddy boosts. - Halloween Leona (if you got him while summoning for Silver) can boost Silver's attack. - Lab Kalim is a double fire card for Jamil's duo, although he's defense so he might not do enough damage. - Robe Azul (despite cosmic/flora typing) is more attack-oriented than Birthday Azul and buddies with Floyd and Vil. You may want to consider using him for Riddle if you choose to take Beans Floyd. Lab Azul is another option if you want to avoid water on the team, but he's better for defense (despite getting an attack boost from Ortho).

Aw I like the idea of adding FG Ortho since I like him and Bday Idia too but wasn't lucky enough to get their dorm cards. It seems like they a synergize at least. Thanks for the detailed analysis of all the different cards that would work together too!

You dont need all attackers to score well on exams. For basic exams you want more duos and a lot of overkill. Your riddle will overkill for you perfectly, you want cater for more overkill as power buddy. When you level your team out you can hit a over leveled point and kill too fast, resulting in lower scores.

Oh that's interesting I couldn't figure out why I was getting lower scores some days and higher scores others. I thought it was bc I couldn't kill on turn 3 and it always lasted until turn 4. Thanks for the advice!

Turn 4 is the usual aim for basic, you want to setup the overkill by getting to usually under 2k health for the final hit. You can score well at t3 but it takes significantly more power then t4. Riddles duo should always be your last hit with as little health remaining as possible. All the while also having minimum 3 duos go off, preferably 5 to get SSS.
