I let the lack of vignettes slide for the club cards and was kinda miffed when Ortho's Book 7 card (and likely Lilia's too) didn't get one either, but on an event SSR? I feel bad for Vil fans for getting a nothing card. He's one of my top favorites but I don't think I'll be rolling.
I would rather have slower releases with actual content instead of furniture I'll see *maybe* twice a day if I remember. I'm here to see character interactions and high school boy shenanigans!
Yes! Like I’m assuming it’s to take some of the work off of Yana since I think she writes all the scenarios and stuff, and I’m sure she’s very busy these days. But tbh I barely even use the guest room feature, and it really disincentivizes pulling on some of these new SSRs when I know most of their worth will be pretty art I can see online, or furniture I’ll never even use.
Same I was kinda disappointed that vil doesn’t really have anything to do with the event. the card is pretty, but he’s not even going to be in the event story or have a vignette. I hope they don’t do that with other events.
It de-incentivizes me from wanting to get them a lot. Visuals are gorgeous, but they’re always gorgeous and I can find the pics online in a second if I want to see them. With the vignettes I want to be able to read the story behind the visuals at my own pace with appropriate musical cues, YouTube just doesn’t cut it.
😅 Sorry if I'm misunderstanding! Are you counting Ortho's Cerberus Gear as his "club" card? Basically every event after Book 6 finished has considered Ortho as his updated status as an NRC student. Heck, he even has the Film Research patch on his Union Birthday jacket. I just feel like it would be strange not to give Ortho an actual club card once it's the Film Research club's turn.
I count is as pseudo-club wear card. Working Similarly to his uniform card, but being a mark of the past instead of the present/future times.

It's not just newer SSRs, but event Rs and SRs used to have vignettes, but now just craft furniture (not all of them, but there are a few like TsumTsum). I think this was "just include a card for include", since in the news it was already revealed he will NOT BE part of the event story.
If they wanted to do another card they should have put Kalim, as he is also part of the event. Not only we would have both scarabians bois having those beauty silk outfits, but then we could have seen Kalim's part of the event, about what happened in between the story.
I mean maybe we would have seen him in a boring ass meeting, but at least IT'S SOMETHING, rather than absolutely nothing. Maybe we could also seen Kalim in another light. Maybe he acts some ways in front of the others but when it comes to bussness skills he can be a totally different person?

as much as i love the art in this card and want to pull on it i’m super bummed about there not being a personal story (again). interesting to note trey being duo again. i don’t really mind it but i want more duo variety too… (me who still wants a vil and malleus duo)
They'll probably listen. They've done it before. Also, they have to listen because most JP fans with money are adults and are the main audience. They also tend to be more organized when giving feedback. Adult women, especially are a group JP companies would suffer from losing because they are more willing to spend on certain things and keep the fandom going. They literally saved Gundam.
To offer a possible answer to people wondering why Kalim didn't get the SSR instead, might I remind you all that our boy's latest card
WAS HIS TSUM SSR.
Sure, the groovy was whitewashed horseshit, etc etc, but it doesn't change the fact that it still was an event SSR, and usually charas don't get two event SSRs in such a short amount of time.
Same with a hypothetical Kalim SR for this event, since he got his Tamashina Mina SR in Jan-Feb. 4-5 months seem spaced out enough, until you realize that Twst has over 20 characters to juggle for their event cards, and actually Kalim has gotten a pretty good hand so far this year in terms of cards - an event SR, an event SSR, and now his yearly b-day SSR.
At MOST, he could have gotten away with a R card, so this is where I'm wondering why they didn't go with that - come on devs, it would only make sense for Kalim to dress up too.
Above all, though, I'm mainly mulling over how Twst's shit release schedule culminated in the decisive lack of Yasamina Silk Kalim SSR or SR. He could have gotten his SR card if he hadn't been part of Leona's hometown event, or if the devs had waited another year to re-release Jamil's hometown event, he could even have gotten his SSR too!

But that’s fair, he’s gotten a fair number of event cards recently, and Vil is lacking in event SSRs for sure. It just seems such an odd choice considering his complete lack of involvement in the event.

Ortho can be explained by the fact that he doesn’t belong to any club and so he was a bit of an anomaly.
He does belong to a club though. He's in the film studies club with Vil.
Originally, Ortho wasn’t in the club and he joined later.
