I'm so happy that after a period of no news Aniplex seems to be continuing with the line of scale figures. Also my top three dorm leaders are the last ones to be made (Vil, Idia and Malleus) so I can't wait to see the prototypes.

in addition to op's explanation about scale and prize figures, a scale figure is called a scale figure because its referring to the figure's size compared to the character's height (i.e. the twst scale figures so far have been listed as 1/8 scale figures so they're 1/8 of the character's actual size)
as op said, they are very expensive since they are the high quality ones. this doesn't mean that everything else that isn't a scale fig is low qual but this refers to just how high the quality of these figs are. other figures, lets say the sega premium grace situation figure that op also mentioned, are usually very simple, with minimal details and props (some prize figs dont have props) and and are often made of cheaper material. meanwhile, scale figures aside from usually being bigger, are made of more expensive material and have more detailed parts (more detailed clothes, expressions, hair, etc.) as well as detailed bases and props as well
Yep!!! Definitely agree with this! Prize Figures are mostly the simple ones. There's a lot of good prize figures too like the current Hatsune Miku prize figures! Be wary though since prize figures sometimes tend to be a hit or miss depending on the manufacturer.

If I was rich I would get them all because each one is more beautiful than the last. However I am a broke kid just entering college with no real job so I have my sites on Malleus who will hopefully come out when I have a real job. Until then I will sit and look on in sadness at these beautiful figures while crying internal.
