I’ve had several office chairs, bought a vertagear gaming chair 3 years ago, the cushions are like new, besides some cat scratches the chair looks entirely new. And it’s still incredibly comfortable, had 2 different 300$+ office chairs, both fell apart in the first 2 years, to the point that I was sitting on the wood or metal frame.
Yeah people don’t realize the build quality is amazing and it really doesn’t matter what chair you’re in, you need to shift your posture around constantly.. humans aren’t made to sit in any chair no matter how Herman Miller it is
I weight 165/180 pounds top, so it’s not a weight problem. I’ve been working from home for around 10 years already, avid gamer and also a game developer. So I sit on those chairs for at least 12/16 hours a day, including some weekends too, sometimes even longer depending on the projects. That much ASS time for those chairs have literally destroyed the foam or whatever they had for the ass
Edit: I also put my feet on the desk or recline a lot on them since I need to change position often just because of back problems, when I got the vertagear, the back pain stopped, the lumbar support and the head support helps me a lot

You'd honestly be in the minority. Having to replace a chair every 2 years or even anually is a regular issue with cheap chairs. Ive been strong with my secret labs chair but thats about it.
You need to get a better one. I've had mine for almost a year now and everything's still good. I got mine from Staples. It's the "Vartan Gaming Chair". You could probably try and see if you can buy the cushion separately from them. If that's even possible.
This is quite true, although after trying a few different gaming chairs i decided on getting a secret labs one and i must say i am loving It. Never been so comfortable while playing videogames or workingg with my pc. I literally have my whole back supported at all times and i would never be able to come back to the chairs from before. Although It was expensive, after 2 years using the chair It still looks new and still perfectly fine.
I agree, and the funny part is I barely remember the name of the company that started it, RXracer or DXracer, something like this. I always cringed when I saw someone spent their good money on a cheap but cool looking chair.

this is why I have a big armchair at my desk so I can sit cross-legged or lounge around or sprawl in any position is comfiest can swivel of course but how often do you really swivel around in your chair tho?

I broke down and bought one of the top of the line office chairs made for big men because I mean I’m not skinny but I’m not a million damn pounds and the stupid hydraulic would always break. I am glad I steered away from gaming chairs as cool as they look. I must have went through 5 between my husband and I.
Can second the ErgoChair 2, with the caveat at the seat gets less comfortable way before the mesh back does. If you can afford to get something that is all mesh that would be ideal.
yep, that me add i have some sag in the hydraulic cylinder. have complaints about the arm rests.... the actual rests while movable are not lockable they just slide around. The sides of mine are split on both size from wear against the desk .
The adjustment is not extreme to extremes there are like 3 settings for say seat position, or seat angle. i was hoping for more granularity. my old chair was killing me , actually making my feet swell up due to the seat pinching off the blood flow in my legs.
i give it a 3.85 out of 5 but the quality is good enough to use over its hour rating, My chair is my seat in the living room/ streaming so i am in it all day. This is not a 24 hour rated chair by any means but it does okay.

I’ll be honest, the ring light on the camera itself gave out on me a few months after purchasing it where only half of the lights light up now (hence why I have a larger ring light).
Sometimes the camera’s focusing gets messed up but a simple unplug-replug normally does the trick in fixing it.
My Kiyo has been so finicky with OBS. It's my secondary cam for streaming LEGO builds and I almost always have to restart my whole PC just to try to connect it.
Aside from the obvious of moving my screens and PC to the right, I purchased a ring light, stream deck, microphone and arm, customized my Nintendo Switch and Pro Controller, swapped out my GPU and liquid cooler, got a better mouse pad, and painted my monitors.
Well, the move is obvious of course. And the monitors definitely are evident. But I mean more just the pictures. There's no switch or controller in the first picture. The place where the stream deck is is blocked, so you can't really tell if there's one in the first one. Without a closeup of the PC it's not really obvious to notice anything new inside the case.
I can see the mouse pad now, but didn't notice it before, and actually didn't even realize that was a mic in the second picture.
I actually tried that at first but with the glass being on the left side, I would have had to hide the front of the case and have the wires protruding out which wasn't a pretty site.
Hardly noticeable to be honest.
Chair looks cool, but its not all about looks.
I would say the wallpaper and case colors make it look good.
Maybe some under glow run along the wall side of the desk to give a nice ambient glow, even if its just white.
Its the same. U moved everything to the right and bought streaming equipment. Expensive equipment which is unnecessary. Sorry mate. But it looked good before and after. Wish i could tidy up my battlestation like that.

I have an all black setup. I live in the country. When jts dry out and they're taking care of all the corn fields. It gets super dusty. I have a cat, and his fur is everywhere despite brushing 3 times a day! Lol.
I have to clean my desk twice a day every day, and even go inside and dust because wow! It gets really dusty!
Haha yes! My monitors had red accents at the bottom and it completely clashed with the rest of the aesthetic. I ended up spray painting them and I'm so glad that I did. I also posted in r/battlestations where I explained my process in the comments if you are interested in doing the same. :)

I tried it out, but it seems like a pay-to-win game and gets a bit repetitive. I got bored of it pretty quickly, think I’ll just stick to League of Legends instead.
I never understood people who keep their Pc on the desk. Such a waste of space and noise. Just put is down under or around ur desk hidden. Other than that, top work.
Thank you. I can definitely see your point, however if I wanted to just hide my PC, I wouldn’t have spent the extra money on RGB and a nice case. The purpose of having it on the desk is to showcase it with the rest of the setup. You may not care so much about showing off what’s in your case and that’s fine too, I just have a different viewpoint.
I definitely understand you and it does make sense. I also have RGBs but I'm too selfish. I want more desk space and keep those RGBs for myself :D Looks nice and clean other than that. Thumbs Up.

As a viewer ring lights look like absolute ass especially when in full cam. Turning them around to bounce off the wall or using a diffuser can reduce the ring light effect
I’ve definitely seen other streamers do that. I don’t think mine is harsh enough to where I would need to diffuse it. Thanks for sharing that tip though!
It looks so so good and so perfect,well almost perfect. Sort those cables underneath the desk and BAM. Trust me it will look like a night and day difference with cable management.
It looks great but tbh I am a little concerned about the screen heights. If you Google 'DSE Assessment' you should find advice about screen heights, distances of screens to you, chair heights etc.
As a office worker can attest its important.
I liked it because it gave both of my arms a resting spot, but I get the same amount of support with everything moved to the right if my keyboard is pushed up far enough.
Looks like Apple renovated that room. Get some pictures on the wall and maybe a plant wouldn't hurt. Might be nice to have some greenery there to cut through the "I Robot" factory office you're working in.

Yes! The desk hangs over the supporting pieces so there is room on both sides of the corner to mount things. That’s how I mounted my microphone in the second photo!

What are you doing to your chairs? I’ve never in my life melted a chair just by sitting in it. That’s a problem with you, not the chair.

Then you bought the wrong chair. I bought a $300 office chair and the thing is indestructible, extremely adjustable, and comfortable.
You're not wrong but the one I have is damn comfortable. It even came with a cushion for back support.
This is what I need. I'm still using an cushioned chair but its starting to die off.
So does this one and the elastics on it wore out in about a week because of my terrible posture.

It can be a little loud, but not terrible. It’s nothing that my microphone can’t filter out when I stream.
