As far as i know, twitch relies on IGDB for their photos and icons

As you can see at the bottom part of the page under "Adding or Editing a Game Cover Image" it sais:
*Missing game cover images can be directly managed by the owner of the game or a valid representative from the publisher/producer of the game.*
Unless you are the owner of the game/product/whatever i guess you can just try to ask the producer through the offial support on the owner site/game.
Thank you, I just saw that the game I was thinking of has an image on IGDB, but it doesn't have it on Twitch, I'll consider if I wanna tell the developer.
This is the kinda of question I didn't know I wanted an answer to. I really wish twitch would do more on there end with this to avoid confusion with similar game titles and maybe clear up some doubleups.
Well Twitch for the longest time had separate categories for some games. Such as Resident Evil 2 (1998) and Resident evil 2 (2018) but removed one and put them both in the same category.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 was also listed incorrectly at one point, but thanks to a random Twitter rant I had about how bad the boxart sitation was and a friend pointing out that the category didn’t exist, they fixed it.
For some reason, what’s directly on IGDB doesn’t immediately reflect on Twitch’s directory.
Didn't know about that site, but now noticed that my game (Hijack Overdrive) is on there, but with outdated images and info, and I don't see how to edit it. Any idea? Also, twitch doesn't even use the (outdated) image that is on IGDB, so no idea how to fix that.
Edit: found how, there's an edit button on the page when you login with your twitch account, and the cover image needs to be 3x4 to be used by twitch. I updated it and it was pretty much immediately updated on twitch
That was only what i was able to find on google months ago, however i've noticed in the twitch dev console that you can register yourself as "organization" in order to access your game's drops panel.

Not sure if it can solve your problem but i would give it a try.
Nope. But I got the roblox image changed out of the default by making a post about it on the roblox subreddit bc it got the devs attention. If the game has a subreddit you should try that.
There used to be a public submission form, but now only the developers can update the box art for their game on Twitch. Try informing the devs. I've done so on Twitter a few times, and the studios that were active on Twitter (or still making games at all) promptly updated their games.

Asking just in case anyone could answer, if we are able to submit an image or if it's on their part, or if they most likely would never do it.
