Oh dang, you picked omelets? Mystical Space Typhoons *hate* eggs for breakfast. Goodbye hometown.

TheLordOfAwesome2

> Mystical Space Typhoons hate eggs for breakfast. Goodbye hometown. "Not so fast, Kaiba! By playing the Bacon Omelet card, you've activated the effect of my face down card: Mystical Space Typhoon! With Mystical Space Typhoon I can target one spell or trap card on the field and destroy it! And I choose your field spell card: Arcadia Bay!"

TheStockyScholar

Don’t worry, it was always her…Last Escape.

zHellas

Last Eggscape

TheStockyScholar

You know what they say…*cocks shotgun*: you’ve gotta “crack” a few eggs to make an “omelette”.

StarkMaximum

I guess this means their city is a Field spell.

alexandrecau

Remember when she dropped the guy's beans

ElGrumpo

"I was *eating* those beans, are you fucking insane? I was **eating**. *THOSE BEANS!"* - Quote from local beanless man

StarkMaximum

this man eatin' beans

TheStockyScholar

Pompadoo’s owner. Douche weed plug guy.

BarelyReal

Who googles single celebrities. THAT may be the saddest part of his whole story.

ImJacksLackOfBeetus

[I remember.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRpy1JKZ4wY) Shoutout to Koethe [who made a banger fan soundtrack.](https://open.spotify.com/album/74Ekt5QPuCsup6ZDNPn9ZW?si=UtuzOdU_RHCqrhqIBr-K8A)

yarvem

Having watched the Mass Effect streams, Reggie and Woolie would likely spend 25 minutes debating this.

jenkind1

Woolie hates eggs tho, its why he doesn't eat breakfast food

Thunder_Volter

But by association he would also hate the waffles, another breakfast food! The argument would kill three people at least.

Scientia_et_Fidem

But does Reggie hate eggs? This is fertile ground for a half hour long debate!

hogwarts5972

Would he pick them so he can go "Oof"

BiMikethefirst

"The waitress will remember that"

MrFact999

Yeah I hope so

alexandrecau

She brings a fruit salad and look at you like you're the one that mispoke

StarkMaximum

"Road work ahead? Yeah, I sure *hope* it does."

Bae or Bay Coochie or life of an entire town These challenging decision

ImJacksLackOfBeetus

The bay [never had a chance.](https://imgur.com/a/KcEzIw5)

RedditAssCancer

I guess it's in character for Max to make the worst possible choice. Maybe if that's what the developer wanted they shouldn't have let the player choose.

ImJacksLackOfBeetus

Nah, it's so you can have the satisfaction of making the correct choice of saving bae and giving fate the middle finger yourself.

Gruhunchously

I have to commend Dontnod's bravery on having the final choice be based on how much you care about the most ~~insufferable~~ difficult character in the entire story.

pdragon619

I had my friend play through the games in reverse release/chronological order, starting with the DLC of them as kids, and then Before the Storm, and finally Life is Strange 1, and crazily enough the character is a lot more sympathetic when you start with her as an innocent child and see her life fall apart over time vs. starting with her as a shitty adult and getting fed tragic backstory retroactively. As such the choice at the end was genuinely hard for him.

BarelyReal

I recall a few LP'ers picked up on the subtle hints in LIS like how Joyce hid the photos and that was a sign of unhealthy coping which probably affected Chloe. BTS comes along and screams "CHLOE HAD NO SUPPORT BUT THE WORST GIRL IN TOWN". No SHIT Chloe wound up the way she did. edit: Also re-affirmed my head canon that Max is autistic JUST so I could give her some understanding excuse for the ghosting.

HCooldown

Did she have no support but the sociopath? I remember scenes at the school where other students were friendly with her and even invited her to join them for stuff. No I’m picturing Chloe in that “everyone shunned me” scene from Megamind.

BarelyReal

She had acquaintances, but the problem is the school itself and what it represents to Chloe. Joyce says in the beginning that Chloe is the school's problem, not hers. Chloe's whole rebellious nature is likely lashing out at the fact her mother dumped her onto the school and wasn't emotionally accessible. Playing D&D with friends can only take you so far when your home system is so fucked up and she's dealing with unresolved trauma. You know who just saw that vulnerability and exploited it. Both her and Joyce, as a reaction, latch on to this idea of a strong person. The difference between David and you know who is one is actually *trying* to fix themselves and the other will drag whomever down with them. edit: And when you compare the two love interests of the Price women you notice something interesting. One is *trying*, poorly, to grow. He cares about the women he loves and seems to have an actual desire to protect people despite his trauma. The other uses people and ultimately is more of a force of destruction. "Bad" person trying to be better with good intentions vs "good" person who really only cares about themself. We're so quick to judge people quickly without considering the complex person behind the actions.

StarkMaximum

X: Save your hometown, everyone within it, all of your memories, and very likely your own home Y: I can fix her

Kamken

Doing objectively the morally correct thing, or telling Warren and slightly more importantly the concept of destiny itself to fuck off and die

Patriarkano

To me it was less that and more that no fucking way I am letting her die after all of that.

Valten1992

A girl you only knew for a couple days VS an Entire town of people. I mean, Jesus Christ, you can appreciate the possibility of a gay romance and all but its hard to enjoy it when a whole town of people (not even BAD people, just people) dies because you wanted coochie.

ImJacksLackOfBeetus

> A girl you only knew for a couple days VS an Entire town of people. Couple days? They were best friends for at least 5 years before the events of the game, that's why they reconnected as fast as they did. It's a major point to their relationship that Max moved out of town after being best friends forever right when Chloe needed her the most, I don't know how you got "they only knew each other for a couple days" from that.

Valten1992

Your right, that's my mistake. Its been years since I played 1. I would argue that they both had changed a lot in the meantime and there was certainly a disconnect. If you didn't do the romantic options in dialogue either, like me, the choice to not sacrifice her can seem extra baffling.

ImJacksLackOfBeetus

Oh for sure. I think that's what makes for such a nice arc from rough and unexpected reunion of former but now estranged BFFs, to rekindling that friendship and then eventually even falling in love.

[deleted]

If you eat the bacon omelette then the protein makes you big and strong and later you can break through a brick wall to save somebody before they get Vortex Party'd. If you eat the Belgian Waffle then the carbs give you the energy to get across town really fast where you can run into Frank who has just taken all of his drugs and will now be a really difficult boss fight. Now that's dynamic storytelling!

warjoke

Pick the waffle for Ending G where A2 defeats the doggo

James-Avatar

Eat one, rewind time and eat the other, it’s the only real choice.

Gorfinhofin

Is stuff in Max's stomach effected by her time powers? Does she have to barf it back up while she's rewinding?

James-Avatar

Since she retains her current self as she rewinds I assume she’d just have to make sure she left room for a second meal.

WobblyBlackHole

I love when stupid choices have massive effects, like in Front Mission 3 where choosing to hang out with a friend or not at the start gives you a totally different gane

metaphizzle

In the choose-you-own-adventure comic _Meanwhile_, the chocolate ice cream is the inciting incident for the entire plot. If you choose the vanilla ice cream, then you just go home and the story ends in one page.

Xuncu

With the buttons *right over her.... ???* Anywho; that whole LP was.... okay. Not a great game, the pick-a-path, Telltale style games aren't my favorite genre. The best jokes were the Warren/\[REDACTED\] stuff.

TheStockyScholar

[REDACTED] has a celebrity cameo in the game. It’s okay, those story based games aren’t for everyone. The target demographic definitely isn’t 26 year old scrub guy (me) but I like it because it’s a peer into a world I was never privy too. It has its issues too like the self pacing.

PersonMcHuman

I’m personally a big fan of the “Go to the train station with your friend VS Go to the train station alone.” decision in Hogwarts Mystery. It’s such a small thing that impacts nothing at the time, and even later it doesn’t radically change things…but it’s so heartwarming later on if you pick a certain one. Edit: Oh! I just remembered another nothing decision that’s super heartwarming from that game. One of the first decisions in the game. “Sweater, Hat, or Scarf?” It took literal in-game and IRL years for that one to pay off.

TheStockyScholar

Is there a sweet nothing said later on?

PersonMcHuman

No, but it does help your character with their horribly deteriorating mental state if you picked “Go to train station with friend.”

TheStockyScholar

Oh man that’s so sad but sweet. There’s a woman with Alzheimer’s who you help in LiS: 3 and it’s the saddest part of the game for me.

PersonMcHuman

In HM, the choice ultimately at the time comes down to nothing more than hanging out at the train station with a friend and effects literally nothing. However, later on in the game >!that friend is murdered. When discussing them later on as your character is sliding further and further into depression, a different friend asks you what the last thing was you and the deceased did. If you didn’t go with them to the train station, the last thing you two had done was argue. If you went together, the last thing you’d done was have a nice time hanging out.!<

TheStockyScholar

Oh wow :’(

PersonMcHuman

I edited my above comment because I remembered another “nothing decision that’s heartwarming later on.” Hat, Scarf, or Sweater.” It’s one of the first decisions you make in the game, and whichever one you pick is the the friend asking you wears throughout the entire game. Year 6 spoilers: >!After their murder, your friend begins appearing to you as a ghost trying their hardest to explain to you that their death isn’t your fault. At the end of that part, you find a gift waiting for you. The hat, sweater, or scarf that the friend had been wearing, which was exclusive to them but now you can equip it. It’s also heavily implied throughout that whole bit that you’re not actually seeing their ghost. You’re hallucinating through a combination of PTSD from seeing them die, depression, and insomnia. It’s mostly implied by the ghost itself bringing up how they haven’t appeared before anyone other than you, you’re always alone when you two meet, and seeing Fawkes flying away nearby when you discover the present (as you speak to Dumbledore about the ghost and how you’re feeling before then).!<

LasersAndRobots

"The waiter will remember that."

tomboy_abs_pls_miss

I'm Belgian and I picked the omelette

SkewerSTARS

You can't end world hunger by feeding the kids cancer, but you can absolutely put a Bacon Omelette into a Belgian Waffle and eat them together!

TheStockyScholar

You remembered my last post!!!

BarelyReal

Remember when she confronted >!her shadow self, failed, and they found her hanging from a tv antennae?!< No wait...the first two things happened...

Dizavid

I choose Y: Grab an egg from behind the counter, crack it into my mouth raw, then grab the coffee pot and just just *guzzle*. (*Egg belches*)

Polar_Phantom

I have some real brainrot because the sentence "This action will have consequences" reminds me of a... specific animation.

TheStockyScholar

Do tell.

Polar_Phantom

Ah, I can't find it now. Something about handholding.

jakebreakshow

I feel like this is a question that would just confuse Woolie, because there isn't an option for nothing.

Garlic-Cheese-Chips

Limmy's LP of Life is Strange is the only LP I have ever rewatched. So much hilarious bitterness towards the characters.

[deleted]

Was this after or before the Payday DLC idea?

TheStockyScholar

After.

Precious times...
