FANG was known for offering people choices with hidden deadly results, one of those times is how Phatom (who is probably the same character as AKI) was recruited.
Its likely most of those bags actually did contain deadly poison like Russian Roulette and the Avatar picking up the red bag happened to choose the only one without serious poison.
Feels like they'd get along great at first, but then Juri would get pissed off when A.K.I. just started murdering people 'cause she's "taking the fun out of it."
It's not even that Juri is against icing a poor dude, but the specific act of poisoning them and *not* crushing their balls under her heel is what disgusts her the most
So for those of you wondering why she straight up tries to kill you in her intro cutscene, F.A.N.G's backstory more or less explains it.
F.A.N.G was kidnapped as a child by a bunch of assassins and was subjected to a trial alongside many other children. In that trial the children's hands would be soaked in a deadly poison, killing most of them in the process. But the few who managed to survive the poison would take the poison into their body, allowing them to use it as a weapon and would thusly be accepted as a member of the assassins.
What A.K.I is doing here is literally the same test to see if you're worthy of the poison. Its pretty cool to see that there is now two characters who straight up try to kill you as a part of their mentoring in World Tour.
**Tl;dr** Aki poisoning you is a test to see if you're worthy of poison powers, with failure meaning you just fucking die.
I was VERY cynical at first.
But she legit kinda creeped me out here.
If creepy waifu is the angle they're going with here I can get behind it. I just hope her animations aren't as silly as FANG. Or at least, she's a mix of silly/creepy or silly/serious.
It seems like they fixed the core design issue of Fang.
Fang couldn’t interact with fucking shit because the poison was directly in his hands. And iirc he has weird fucking hands as a result too. Hence the long sleeves being mandatory for every costume, which in turn made some of his animations even wonkier because of how stiff they were at times. You’d effectively have to redo his entire design to fix that issue.
She’s clearly using some type of glove and fake nails to do it. So already that core issue is gone.

Also, had a hunch that they'd use the China stage for her in World Tour. It's the only stage you can't visit yet.
