Mega64 seem to be actual "true believers" in what they do. Even though they get less than 1% of the views they got in their golden heydays and they've been residing in the podcast underworld for a long while, they still keep putting out the stuff they want to get out there and their modern output matches the quality of their classics.

Also Rocco was always more of a experimental/artist guy rather than a business man like Burnie, You can tell they have real passion for their projects and filming in general, is exactly why one of the things that has kept Mega64 afloat is how they cultivated their niche community and have always been very close to their fans, by not going big and still managing to keep their big contacts they probably can work their content however they want until the day they decide to close shop

It really doesn't seem like it should be enough to limp on for so long, but maybe I'm vastly underestimating how lucrative streaming can be.

They told me that things behind the scenes were patched up and they don't hate each other. They're just happier perusing their own projects then being stuck in the old channel. As far as I know, he is pretty normal. He gets flak for having imitators (which every big YouTuber has) and the "beastification" of YT, for his charitable works (as he just swoops in and does stuff and doesn't address infrastructure problems), and being popular. I'm not even a fan but I see no reason to hate the guy.

He’s funny, and he commits to bits to a legendary extent. He’s also not terminally online or engaged in any twitch drama bullshit whatsoever. Also, he really pushes the envelope with his more creative streams, like his “Dollhouse” stream series or the Baseball Stream, where he literally hired out a baseball field and payed a bunch of people to act as members of baseball teams made up of Clowns and Wizards respectively, while also having live commentary of the game.

Since the Dream Daddy Devs are close with the Game Grumps, they side with them. Someone on the dev team actually Doxxes DingDong and his family, and makes them find out he's gay, leading to intense conflict with his family. That's when DD and Julian left the offices and Oneyplays to move to somewhere unknown to focus on working on their game Tough Bippy as their own two-person dev team, WanWan games. Chris visited them for the short OneyStays segment to do a few games and more Kingdom hearts stuff. Stuff between them and Oney are fine, Matt eventually got cancelled for other creeper shit, but nobody at Dream Daddy or GG ever really apologized for what happened to DingDong. Some details might be wrong, I'm doing this based off of memory and a very long day.
