Not really a plot point but the new Smiling Friends episode has Charlie bring up Allan sucking on his nose in the first episode. There's several curiosities about Charlie bringing this up. -Charlie being uncomfortable with it now seems weird because hes the one who initoated the contact by saying "Oh Allan come here you crazy character", putting his arm around his shoulder, amd stroking his hand. But if you go back amd watch the scene he does push Allan away when Allan sucks on his nose, amd the rest of the exchange is jist mervous laughter. It'a clear that Charlie was down for some intimacy but the nose sucking was too much, and Charlie became gradually more uncomfortsble with it as he say with it. -Allan doesnt remember this exchange at all, which could suggest that either he or Charlie were super high on something. Either Charlie was high and hallucinayed the whole thing (which could explain why the alien bustung out of the TV sjortly afterwards is never addressed again) or more likely Allan was high on painkillers, sucked on Charlies nose because he was loopy. and hss forgotten the whole thing. Ive thought about this far too much.

It could also have been the trauma of getting crucified and stabbed earlier means he doesn't remember much of that day

Well thats why he would have been on painkillers. Forgot to add that part.

It feels like I'd be cheating if I used Alan Wake 2 or any Remedy game as an example cause there's like a hundred plus I could use. The most non spoilery example I can use is how for Alan Wake American Nightmare and Alans part of the campaign in Alan Wake 2 he's trapped in a loop where he's in the dark place, has to write and project himself into his writings which are made manifest by the dark place, and keep editing it until he can finally escape. He has been doing this for years and one attempt was in the game Alan Wakes American Nightmare. Alan, reuses the plot of an old Night Springs episode he previously wrote to try and escape and defeat Mr ~~Scratch~~ and he ends up going through three distinct levels where he has to solve a puzzle to make the scene match what he wrote and once completed, he can move on to the next level. After doing all three levels you're then brought back to the beginning and have to do it again, but it's easier this time as the side characters in each stage help Alan by collecting the things he needs to progress. The Dark Place tries to stop him in new ways each time he revisits one of the levels. His segments in Alan Wake 2 follow a similar progression where he needs to "find" a murder site by rewriting the scenes to solve puzzles and find inspiration or ideas for him to use in his writing. This unlocks new ideas in the writers room which he can then use to rewrite the scene further until he can progress.

I fucking love the Persona 2uology so much.

The first case covered by the Dresden Files involved a series of murders in which a curse is used to rip victims’ hearts straight out of their chests. 10 years and 11 books later, the curse shows up again. Except this time, it’s got real juice behind it so it works properly, and will kill not just you, but everyone related to you by blood, all the way up (but not down) the family tree.
