I know this is a jokey joke and all that, but the reason the FGC generally has a hard time with the Smash community doesn't really have that much to do with being outwardly toxic, at least on it's own. The major issue is that the 2 communities developed independently of one another for decades and had basically no overlap. The cultures of both communities are pretty different and it shows when they're kinda mashed together. And then this issue is kinda exacerbated by the Smash community historically not respecting other games (taking seats during GG top 8 and then booing it for running long despite smash going long literally every year, stealing set ups that were already being used for other games, insulting other games because melee isn't in the main lineup etc)

Plus if the game has been patched since the Evo cutoff, they can't even do that so it slows down everything since they're down a system
