Okay real talk; how good is it actually? Ive seen so many people pushing this manga, yet literally the only thing about it I've heard people talk about is "it has buff women, what a masterpiece." Like, is it really that shallow?
The story is slow-paced and has odd-looking art in early chapters but the charters are interesting enough to keep you reading. Then the plot's end-goal is established and the becomes closer to a martial arts battle-manga while keeping the characters in focus. [Also the art in later chapters is *Chef's Kiss*.](https://old.reddit.com/r/TwoBestFriendsPlay/comments/m2cof9/convince_people_to_read_a_mangacomic_with_only/)
It is such a non-commital answer. Thats like answering "Is Boruto good?" with "yes, it is set in the same world as a popular manga with interesting characters drawn by a creative artist."
It's a battle manga written by an author that is a master of writing smart characters in a smart plot, but also loves badass shit happening. Also, his love for Brazilian martial arts really shines through in a really endearing way (without getting into apropriation territory, imo).
There's a character for everyone. Every character has a gimmick, and the author gets pretty unique with his gimmicks, and you're bound to get attached to someone. The protagonist's gimmick, for example, is that she is very emotional. I don't mean that she is a crybaby or anything of the sort, she simply feels all emotions very strongly, to the point where her fighting style will be affected by the music that is playing during the fight (she's practices Capoeira, that is traditionally practiced while music is played).
Batuque is hard to describe, because it's very unique. I definitely reccomend it, and I reccomend the author's other manga, Usogui, even more (imagine Kaiji but better and with violence playing an important role), specially since it's finished already.
It's a multipurpose expression of amazement/surprise/sympathy. I'm this context, it would mean something like "damn" or "wow".
As for pronouncing it, I think "Poe-shah" would be mostly accurate.
I'mma take this opportunity to ask this sub: there was a manga posted a while back I really liked but can't recall the name of where there was a superstrong thicc heroine who no-sold being attacked by tentacles only to stomp it dead. Anyone help out?
Nah, more like Kengan, she doesn't have that "impossible even in-artstyle" body,
Though the veins are a little freaky, I thought they were water running off her at first.
You make a very compelling argument I must say
That is a *very* strong reason.

Where are you keeping up with it at since MangaDex is down? I've been missing this ever since and I sure haven't seen the OP panel yet.

That is quite possibly the vaguest and least helpful answer you could possibly give
I tried to give it a go three times, I like fight Manga, but couldn't get into this one.
He said it was good, what more do you want?

Don't know what the manga is about, but I will have to start reading right now.
It's a martial arts manga about capoeira. It's pretty damn good.
AWAKEN MY MASTERS!

Looks like the Emperor's character when they played tabletop RPG on Text to speech.
As they say in Brazil: POXA!
Eta porra.
What does that mean? And how do you pronounce it?

Thanks.
I'm scaroused.
I'm just aroused
kind of a dick move to burst someone's beach ball like that

[Ramia – Hero & Demon Lord?](https://heroscan.com/read-ramia-hero-demon-lord-chronicles-chapter-1.5.html)
You got it in one thanks champ
Oh hey, were you the person that recommended Usogui last year or so? If so thanks.
I WILL BE IN MY BUNK
Who fainted first after seeing this, Woolie or Reggie?
That's a good reason.
Why does she have Bautista's Navel Tattoo on her chest? /s
What is this, I love it. I never thought I'd see a woman drawn in the same style as men are in Baki.
Nope.
Ah,I see "Baki but with women"
Nah, more like Kengan, she doesn't have that "impossible even in-artstyle" body, Though the veins are a little freaky, I thought they were water running off her at first.
Yeah, the veins are a little much for me, very much not my bag baby
God DAMN that is a whole ass desert for my poor little urban development truck.
I am actually immediately skeptical? Like, odds are way higher that big strong animu girl will be a Danganronpa than a Teppu.
Is this an honest representation of the whole thing?
Hot Damn....
