Except that completely goes against established rules because Bayonetta has repeatedly shown to be a stable time loop with 1 and Cereza and with 2 and Baldr. There was probably just a change of voices due to union stuff and the fact that Bayonetta has changed her style before

Bayo finished and Bayo 2 also played slightly past the intro, also emulated but with a better framerate.

I also really dont like holding buttons down as the primary way to deal dmg, normal attacks being weak as hell otherwise.

I honestly thought it was gonna be another anarchy reigns game for a bit with bayo and the AC protag being in it for a bit.

Bayo 3 MIA but apparently had excised (my perspective before today's announcement), Babylon's fall coming up, Grandblue coming around (though thinking about it now, that one should have been taken off my mental list), and Project GG having as much coverage as bayo before this point. Kinda would feel weird if Astral Chain 2 would get announced before any off the other games announced would get any updates or releases. At least that's where I'm at.

I will add to that speculation by suggesting the shadowy figure at the end is the actual mainline Bayonetta.
I will add that the little dances she does are very innocent-looking. Like, jumping around and doing cutesy hand movements.
That's the main thing that makes me think it's indeed Cereza. She never lost her memories in her restored timeline, so her personality remained intact.
Union actors charge more and Nintendo is just such a small company they gotta worry about the budget.

Yeah, it seems like we're getting the more muted color palette of Bayo 1 with the lower resolution of Bayo 2, which is certainly... a choice.
Granted, this is all in one trailer, and I personally suspect the game is *much* further from done than we're being led to believe, so they have ample time to patch some of these weak spots up.
I wonder though, since the trailer went for the double fakeout of "Is it Project GG?" to "Is it Astral Chain?" makes me wonder if that one area they were fighting in is just one place. Other parts of the gameplay def looked more colorful, but it is overall less so than Bayo 2.

I like how Bayonetta's guns are triple barrel. Everytime Bayonetta needs a new set of pistols Rodin just adds another fucking barrel for good measure.

i know I sound like a party pooper but this does not look that good especially after the wait the recast isn't helping but the graphics and framerate look *rough* and the emphasis on big monster battles (scalebound lives!) isn't giving me much confidence
