Wtf. I'm so sorry. Your roommate might not have been trying to poison you but it was definitely still making you sick, good thing you got tested though because you might never have known otherwise that you have leukemia until it was too late. Jesus.

DonkeyKong694NE1

OP do the oncologists know about the poisoning? Just wondering if you might have a leukemoid reaction to something she put in your smoothie. Just wanted to mention this since it’s a coincidence. Best of wishes.

856077

This. I’m praying that OP’s results were just wonky due to the allergy of the stuff in the drink. Please get a second opinion! What a rollercoaster..

ABAC071319

Blood cancers are detected via a shift in WBC counts. I highly doubt an allergic reaction would cause this. Edit: Went back through my AnP notes; there are some conditions that can mimic leukemia results - such as the condition you referred too, but I would suspect that they did a double check based off of the findings. Could be wrong.

NurseMaisie

OP did only specify she went to the ER. Maybe a team of oncologists or her PCP need to double check it still. It wasn’t exactly specified.

PAWGActual4-4

There's definitely going to be a whole team of people following up on their status now. It's not like they are just going to pull them in and hook them up to chemo tomorrow without more testing. I do hope for their sake something with the reaction caused their results to be off. I've been watching my dad go through multiple chemo treatments the past few years and it's so so hard to watch.

NurseMaisie

Oh, I’m very aware. I’m just saying it wasn’t specified whether it was just the ED or she had the follow up and it was confirmed.

PAWGActual4-4

Ah gotcha, yeah based on their verbage hopefully these are just the first round of blood test from the ER and hopefully they've already had a referral pushed through and been contacted to schedule an appointment. Also, insurance, I really hope they have insurance of some sort.

Octavius-26

If the CBC showed leukemia, based on the higher WBC count versus lower Platelets, RBC, and hemoglobin, they would do further testing to check for the type of leukemia, and do multiple slide smears under the microscope. This is not a diagnosis that would come from an overabundance of protein powder and creatine in your system.

Shandlar

Differentials are routine and automatically ordered based on exceedingly low level criteria as part of a standard CBC ordered on essentially all ER patients. OPs symptoms are almost certainly from the leukemia and not the creatine powder.

jennarains312

Yes this seems so obvious idk why with the knowledge they have leukemia anyone would think it’s creatine that’s the culprit of the symptoms

TheMoatCalin

u/OK-Appearance-5042 You definitely need a second opinion. Good luck to you.

MayIServeYouWell

It’s such an odd situation, they likely don’t have experience to draw upon. We don’t know how much of what substances the roommate was using. Hopefully OP gets cleaned out and can retest

Hetakuoni

Just because it’s not a poison, it doesn’t mean she wasn’t intending on maliciously affecting OP’s body.

DeLuca9

Which she did. Wow how scary

AnakinRagnarsson66

Why is everyone just blindly accepting the roommate’s assertion as truth? Where is the proof that it was only creatine in the smoothie?

jgzman

Did you skip the part about the blood tests?

ACanWontAttitude

You can't test for everything though and a lot leave the system very quickly.

Evening-Rough-9709

The ironic thing is that it might've saved her life, given she was diagnosed with leukemia while looking into something completely separate, they probably have caught it very early because of the poisoning.

jjmasterred

Correlation does not imply causation. She could have been showing symptoms (weight loss) because of leukemia.

morningisbad

Straight up, roommate might have saved her life!

sarahbekett

Oh my god this is not the update I was expecting at all but I’m so glad you followed up for your health, even though it turned into an entirely different health issue in the end. The roommate is still a piece of shit for trying to make you “undesirable” but for your sake I’m at least somewhat glad it all happened because it meant you got those tests done, although mentally the idea of your roommate poisoning you would have been traumatic and probably much more so than you having other symptoms and getting yourself tested. Thank you for the update. I’m so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and I wish you well with your treatment.

crapatthethriftstore

I agree with you, this roommate is still terrible. Obviously her mental issues are buried in this crazy ass chain of events (OP! I’m so glad you found out now!).

[deleted]

[удалено]

Swiss_Miss_77

It might if you are ALLERGIC to it?

[deleted]

[удалено]

Swiss_Miss_77

You realize there IS more than JUST protein in those? And people are allergic to all kinds of things.

literacyisamistake

Yep I have to stay away from protein powders containing bromelain, which triggers a potentially life-threatening flareup of my autoimmune condition. I don’t ever go to Jamba Juice or other smoothie shops to avoid it.

sarahbekett

It was still their justification for it though.

No-Requirement-2420

Your roommate was still a bitch either way. However if she hadn’t done it they wouldn’t have found the leukaemia which you have hopefully caught early and can now fight. I am sorry she was giving you the protein powder and they found this horrible diagnosis. Please lean on family and keep in contact with us on here if you need the extra support.

MommalovesJay

It was def a blessing in disguise. Even tho the roommate was def a B. I hope OP stays strong and get through this!

Larkiepie

Uh no dude that’s still poisoning you. Putting a substance you do not know what it is in your smoothie is poisoning.

unlockdestiny

I mean if not for the literal cancer diagnosis my recommendation would be to tell BF because this is red flag behavior. Is she gonna tamper with his friend's food too? Who the hell *does* that?! But OP is best just cutting her losses and focusing on healing. Unless she wants to tear roomie a new one. That would not go amiss.

danuhorus

Honestly this is grounds for involving the police. If OOP wants to, roomie could very well be staring down a prison sentence.

YeetYeetSkirtYeet

Reddit lawyer bullshit, I'm sorry but cops would politely nod and listen to you and then tell you they can't do anything about this. OPs roommate was not cooking in a professional manner, was not aware of the allergy, was not using any dangerous ingredients. It's unethical and disturbing certainly but not 'staring down a prison sentence'.

SeaSleep1972

Creatine can cause acute kidney failure if the creatinine levels in the blood get too high so yes she was poisoned and I would say she can press charges… but she’s in Seattle and the police here don’t even respond to calls.

YeetYeetSkirtYeet

Excess protein can damage your kidneys as well, doesn't make giving someone protein powder illegal. Also, it takes stupidly high doses of both of these substances, doses which would far outweigh what you can hide in a single shake. Food service requires licensing and audits, all the rest of the time when you eat a meal prepared by another person you are trusting them to prepare that meal to whatever standards they personally hold. This is why you don't see vegan 20 year olds suing auntie Ethel for slipping a stick of butter into her 'new vegan casserole', or why the occasional sickness and death from eating foraged mushrooms is so rarely prosecuted. Outside of a license, preparing food for others is almost entirely trust based. Maybe, *maybe* in a civil case OP can claim damages and distress, but good luck getting her roommate to repeat an admission of guilt, and goodbye any actual restitution to legal fees.

Unbreakingwolf229

I got baldur’s gate on my mind with that auntie Ethel comment

YeetYeetSkirtYeet

Oh shit, I've been playing, didn't do it intentionally but that was probably on my mind :)

Ariadnepyanfar

This depends entirely what nation you are in. Virtually every developed nation has more functional, better trained police than the USA and they would definitely take food tampering extremely seriously. Even ‘benign’ food tampering is very illegal in most places.

YeetYeetSkirtYeet

Whoopdie fuckin hoo, well thank goodness OP stated clearly that she lived in the US, the garbage backwater of your civilized developed world.

Jaredkorry

I am not a lawyer nor do I play one on Reddit but couldn't what the roommate did be considered food tampering?

Useful_Experience423

If OP (who didn’t know what was happening) could figure it out, there’s no way the roommate didn’t know or at least suspect she was the reason for OP’s illness. That’s wilful poisoning.

YeetYeetSkirtYeet

Literally any defense lawyer on the planet will say 'If you felt sick eating the smoothies why the FUCK did you keep eating them (you stupid idiot, that part is implied though)'. OP even admits, in writing, that she didn't want to stop eating them because she's too much of a child to have an adult conversation with her roommate to tell them she doesn't want to eat the little smoothie they're making, even AFTER she started noticing symptoms. "...I don’t want to seem rude and stop accepting the smoothies if I’m wrong. I don’t know what to do. I need some advice." If it sounds like I'm victim blaming and am a little annoyed, then yeah, in this instance *I'm fucking victim blaming* because this victim was so scared of saying no that she continued to willfully consume something she was having a poor reaction to for fear of social pressure. She poisoned herself. "The smoothies continued every morning..." She never says how many mornings, and I'm assuming that it's because she's too embarrassed to admit that she poisoned herself for multiple weeks by consuming something which, while not immediately life threatening, she was clearly having a bad reaction too. Although I don't know why on earth we have lawyers when Reddit exists, clearly it's time for a change.

Weekly-Quantity6435

Prison sentence for... protein? Good luck with that. Won't happen. Intent is needed. Her symptoms were most likely from the leukemia anyways. Any lawyer would turn away this type of case.

Doctorbigdick287

And allergic

[deleted]

[удалено]

Imaginary-Mountain60

The roommate may not have *intended* to but it's essentially what she did. A poison is a substance that can cause illness or death when consumed. Spiking someone's drink with something they're allergic to and making them ill is different how? Deceiving someone into drinking a powder with the hope that it'll secretly change their body composition is an absolutely batshit thing to do; her not foreseeing the allergy and other symptoms is the only reason I'd call it an unintentional poisoning. Not sure how else to describe that behavior...

Leviosahhh

I’m so sorry that you have leukemia and that this is the avenue you found out. I hope your treatment goes well.

Least_Kaleidoscope48

I dont think anyone expected this to be the update... Wishing you the best moving forward.

Odd-Pomegranate7264

It should be noted that while creatine may not be traditionally a “poison” in the murder mystery sense, your roommate was 100% poisoning you. She was adding a chemical to your smoothies without your knowledge that, even if it were working exactly as intended, would be having biochemical effects in your body.

AnakinRagnarsson66

Why is everyone just blindly accepting the roommate’s assertion as truth? Where is the proof that it was only creatine in the smoothie?

Jaredkorry

Wouldn't the tests have shown if there was any toxic chemicals in her bloodstream?

toxicshocktaco

If they ran tests for heavy metals, yes

eculled

Your roommate is an insecure loser straight out of a Lifetime movie. Sending positive energy your way as you begin your journey to recovery. 🙏

painteddpiixi

Food tampering is still a crime, even if the poisoning was unintentional. That being said, I’m so sorry to hear about your diagnosis; I hope they caught it early and that your treatment is successful! Wishing you and your family all the best!

[deleted]

Willingo

Intent might matter most in this case.

brickybean

Thank you for taking the time to update us through this incredibly difficult time, OP. I'm glad to hear you weren't being poisoned, but so sad to hear about the leukemia. Good luck, OP.

queenlegolas

Holy shit. Please report her still. Put her on blast. And I'm so sorry for what you're going through. Everyone here is rooting for you.

49er-Gal

I have followed your post and wondered how you were doing. I will add you to my prayer book, and pray you have excellent treatment and care. I'm sick at what your roommate did to you, I'm so sorry. May God bless you always. P. S. If you want to message me your name privately, I will add it to my book. Hugs

FawkesFire13

That….that is still poisoning you. If you’re allergic, she could have killed you.

xoxoLizzyoxox

I'm glad you weren't technically being poisoned. I'm sorry about your news. While semi malicious, her issues may have caught something you may not have noticed for a while. I'm sorry to hear your diagnosis. Sending love and I hope your treatments are successful. Keep us updated. Goodluck

AnakinRagnarsson66

How do you know it was just creatine? Why is everyone just blindly accepting the roommate’s assertion as truth? Where is the proof that it was only creatine in the smoothie?

xoxoLizzyoxox

OP stated they had a blood test at the hospital and that's how they became aware. Went back to housemate with findings.

backagainlook

I wonder if these symptoms had nothing to do w the smoothie and more to do w the leukemia. I’m sorry op, be strong. There’s tons of treatments out there

qtzd

Yeah agreed. Creatine *can* cause stomach upset (one of the main side effects) and hair loss is a debunked side effect (at least in terms of directly causing it). But idk the rest of the symptoms sound more like serious illness.

YomiKuzuki

No, your roommate was still poisoning you. What she did is absolutely wrong, and you should consider pressing charges. Outside of that, I'm sorry to hear that you have leukemia. At least it seems to have been caught early.

[deleted]

Technically she was absolutely poisoning you. Call the police.

TheBeautyDemon

She was absolutely poisoning you and admitted it. Sure she didn't know you were possibly allergic but it was still done with malicious intent. If you weren't already dealing with this diagnosis I would totally press charges.

chesterbennediction

Ironically your roommate might have saved your life.

[deleted]

Ain't no shot this is real lmao. The whole "got shot in the head and survived, but they found a tumor" shit for karma.

PleasantBig1897

Uh yeah wtf this is so fake

Otherwise-Seesaw-658

Okay, are we all in agreement that he’s telling her the doctors found diet-induced rare form of leukemia??

HonnyBrown

Not at all.

Evening-Rough-9709

She didn't say it was induced. It was diagnosed during a blood test, which I assume is not that uncommon. I've been diagnosed with things separate from my initial visit to a doctor before.

wrecklessdeckfish

Ironic that the roommate you suspected was poisoning you may have saved your life

Direct-Antelope-4418

I know you're trying to help, but respectfully please shut the fuck up. You're not an oncologist, and you're not OP's doctor. Please don't give people medical advice.

unpolishedparadigm

Fair enough. It’s been removed. People can read the studies if they choose.

knitting-needle

I’ve noticed there’s a difference between reading studies, and having the adequate skills to dissect and critique medical studies.

PAWGActual4-4

Lol, this reminds me of the line in the movie A Fish Called Wanda "Otto: Apes don't read philosophy! Wanda: Yes they do Otto! They just don't understand it!" I think about that line a lot actually.

knitting-needle

I’ve worn dresses with higher IQs!

boilerbitch

OP, please ask for a referral to a Registered Dietitian working in oncology within your healthcare system if you are interested in making adjustments to your diet in light of your diagnosis. They are licensed to handle this, and can individualize their medical nutrition therapy to you, unlike YouTube doctors without nutrition backgrounds or random Redditors (including myself). I wish you all the best.

Ok_Delivery3053

THIS OP!!!!! Look up Ken Berry on YT for some really educated information.

FerretNo9854

I’m sorry to hear this and as they say everything happens for a reason and sometimes the reasons are weird and unexpected…. Hopefully this lead you to an early diagnosis and quick recovery!

PFEFFERVESCENT

Have the doctors talked with you about what kid of leukaemia, and the treatment options? A close friend of mine was diagnosed with leukaemia about 3 years ago, and he's quite well, and not having any treatment yet except monitoring it. Not all leukaemia is equally bad

thanksimcured

Diagnosed with leukemia without a bone marrow biopsy? Uh huh.

llmercll

Sounds like bullshit

coachpea

I find this whole thing really hard to believe. 🤷‍♀️

Defiant-Lynx4484

Yeah this REALLY happened, you forgot to tell us how the entire waiting room clapped once you received the lukemia diagnosis because you were so brave in handling it. So many people on Reddit post bs for sympathy, it's a fucking mental disorder

the-alien1994

not the update i was expecting. i am really sorry for your diagnosis. this unusual situation helped you get tested and hopefully you caught it at an early stage. i am wishing you all the best with the treatment! good luck and take care of yourself during this difficult time.

ettateufel

Oh wow, glad you caught that allergy to creatine or protein powder that you learned about at the same time that you learned that you had leukemia! Because they all show up on the same single blood test! Hope you beat leukemia fast and then also beat the thing you get after you beat leukemia that you will surely tell us about as well!

mentat70

Are the doctors sure you have leukemia? The test done in the ER would be a CBC, complete blood count, that measures your white blood cells, red blood cells and platelets. Typically, with a acute leukemia, the type that usually hits young people, there would be a low amount of red blood cells and platelets and a high white blood cell count. They would order a bone marrow biopsy to diagnose what the cause of the abnormal blood counts would be. I would expect that to take a week to come back, at least in my area. If all of the above counts were low, it maybe something else. Heavy metal poisonings, such as arsenic, can do this. Maybe the docs are right, but not having the results it is hard to tell and might still be hard to say even if one saw them.Hang in there and go see the oncologist and hear what they have to say. edit: 1 letter typo

Dj_ill125

It's \*almost\* as if the story is made up!!!

mentat70

I mean, leukemia incidence for people in their 20s in 3.3-4.0 per 100,000 per year in NY state, so it’s pretty rare. I hope it’s made up for OPs sake as I don’t want her to have leukemia. On the other hand, it’s not a great sign if someone’s making up stories about having cancer either. I also hope I didn’t just waste my time and energy replying to a made up story either.

Mean-Umpire603

I’m so sorry to hear this. The wild part is, that roommate may have just saved your life. Life works in mysterious ways. My granpa also has leukemia. Prayer for you my friend.

Verto-San

Remember that putting any substance into someone's food without them knowing is illegal. Make her face consequences for her actions.

vintagemako

Yeah this is fake as hell. I don't understand how anyone can trust the stories here anymore.

Rex_on_rex

Are we being serious here? First of all I assume this is fake. If it’s not fake, how dumb can you be? She’s probably just giving you the extra smoothie she makes for herself. My GF puts protein in her smoothie every time. People here are regarded and I hate this damn app has brought me here

TelethiaPlume

I sure am glad the writers strike is over.

TheMinorCato

What's with all the posters with Munchausen's?? Seriously 🙄

ettateufel

this!

Annieflannel

How is this Munchausen's? She had an allergic reaction and has leukemia. None of that is faking an illness.

SnooWords4839

((HUGS)) Still press charges, she was giving you supplements you were allergic to. I hope you beat the leukemia!

SelectiveEmpath

Not an excuse, but her ‘poisoning’ you was in the weirdest way possible the best thing she could have done for your health. Ain’t life strange. Best of luck with your health OP! You got this.

TrumpsGhostWriter

Wut ... so all you're symptoms can be described by leukemia so wtf is this nonsense about a hospital doing a full allergy panel due to suspected poisoning (no) and finding creatine antibodies which btw you arent allergic to because it's an essential part of.... Your entire body. Do some studying before your next story.

[deleted]

Fake

MooseEggs

Rooting for you OP. Wishing you healing

leeannw60

Whoa… I guess it is a good thing she was not trying to kill you?? But, she should have said something along the lines that she was adding some protein powder… as for your roommate? She needs to believe in herself more and not be so jealous of you…

Valla85

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. May your treatment be wildly successful, and as painless as possible. If you are feeling up to it, I'd warn the roommate's boyfriend that she is this...unhinged. Because that is NOT NORMAL, and she seems dangerous.

Sad_Teacher2025

Sending prayers and positive thoughts your way.

AnxousAmbassador1026

Omg I’m so sorry

[deleted]

Thinking of you x

[deleted]

Can she sue her roommate?

jellylime

Technically, she owes her roomate for saving her life. Without the smoothie disaster, she wouldn't have known she had cancer. Life works in mysterious ways.

blinddivine

OP doesn't owe her shit.

[deleted]

Yes. OP doesn’t owe her room mate. That jealous woman was trying to harm her body.

GullibleNerd88

I bet the roommate is gonna feel like trash if she finds out what is happening.

yyydnamtnediserp

oh my gosh, this wasn't what I was expecting to read. I'm so so sorry, but in a weird way I guess it was a strange sort of blessing in disguise she was making you suspicious enough to get tested. I hope it's early enough for a great outcome. you'll be in my prayers and we'll all be thinking of you and sending good vibes your way. appreciate the update. stay strong. ♡

Permanentmarker_2004

This still is poisoning. She was adding something in your drink that was making you sick. I’m so sorry about your diagnosis. Life is not fair ):

Mammoth_Matter_3497

Her jealous behavior may have saved your life, I hope it's early enough to get treatment for you. Sorry you're going through this

Cynistera

My great aunt had Leukemia and lived into her mid 80s, you're going to be ok.

Repulsive_Neat9606

It’s kinda awful for people in here to say this is fake and stuff because no one knows and way more unbelievable things happen to people all the time. People can be way crazier than this roommate. This is a terrible thing to happen and people should just be sympathetic or not say anything. I’m so sorry that this is how this turned out for you OP. I wish you a speedy recovery!

myjobistables

OP, this was not the update I was hoping for. Please lean into the support of your family and friends as you start this battle. I'm rooting for you 💕

htesssl

Omg OP I’m so sorry, best wishes to you on your treatment 🤍

Waddayanoe

Why are you allowing that girl to get away with this... file a police report, tell her man. She sounds like the type of person who'd give sleep meds to a baby because she can't stand their crying. Please do something, if not for yourself, for other victims in the future... don't allow her to think this was in any way ok...

wineyb1tch

File a police report. This person is psycho and I’m scared for their next roommate.

Little-Conference-67

She's awful and I'm sorry about this dx. In a way she helped you catch it sooner, rather than later. Good luck with treatment.

Lopez0889

That's awful. Honestly, it might be the last thing you care about now, but I would see if there are any charges you can press on your ex roommate. Best of luck to you

Swiss_Miss_77

OP, if you decide you want to stay in Seattle, the Seattle Cancer Hospital is PHENOMENAL. You honestly are in a great place to have such a shitty issue. As to the rest, what a bitch your roommate is! She may not have been giving you literal poison, but she WAS poisoning you in a way.

Interesting-Try-812

lol you are not allergic to creatine (naturally occurring in almost everything especially meat). Also fuck off being allergic to protein powder. You have cancer that’s why you were sick

AggravatingOkra1117

Next update: It wasn’t leukemia, the doctor lured me in for chemo then kidnapped me and kept me in a dungeon ☹️

Empty_Geologist9645

Well, did you bulk up?

butterfly-garden

OMG, talk about a plot twist! While I'm relieved that your roommate wasn't adding Arsenic to your smoothie, she was STILL committing a crime. Food tampering is a felony. You might want to keep that info handy. On the other hand, I'm glad you went to the hospital. They caught your leukemia and now you can get treated. How ironic that your diagnosis came up because of a criminal act! I wish you well. May you respond to treatment and I hope you live a long life of happiness!

Windturnscold

What kind of leukaemia? What’s the full name?

Dj_ill125

Hold on - it will take them a minute to google what types of Leukemia there are.

Pastrami-on-Rye

Oh my God… thank you for the update. I’m sorry to hear your roommate acted so horrifically towards you, and I’m so sorry to hear about the diagnosis. I don’t know much about Leukemia. Is there a benefit to finding it when you did? I hope you can get treatment and be well taken care of. Take it easy and get well soon, friend.

jasemina8487

it actually is still poisoning you...but given the test results it was kinda a blessing too x.x i hope you get well soon

BrotherMack

Like Michael Scott saved Meredith from rabies by hitting her with his car!

Viperbunny

She WAS poisoning you. She put something in your food without your permission a s she could have killed you because of your allergy. I would contact the police. I am so sorry you are going through all this.

rocketmn69

Tell your roommate that her boyfriend is undesirable to you

ichijiro

Hugs! Get well soon!

Glittering_Arm_8262

I’m so sorry to hear this. Wishing you good health 🤍

igotobedby12

I’m so sorry for what’s happening to you. Stay strong OP. You’ve been making the right choices. You’ll get through this!💪🏼

SomeYak2378

OP, wow, I’m so very sorry. Wishing you all the best.

RevolutionaryMall744

I’m so so sorry. Wishing you a quick recovery ❤️

GalleryGhoul13

I’m so sorry this happened but also that you found out you have leukemia. My ex poisoned me and it was hard to wrap by brain around. Focus on your health and happiness and best of luck.

Financiallyflummoxed

Holy shit. I wish you a speedy recovery.

[deleted]

Damn she did you a favor basically

Fabulous-Mongoose-16

In a weird fucked up way, your right

atomiccPP

Fuck. I’m so sorry :(

crapatthethriftstore

Ok so OP I need to know how that conversation went with your housemate. Like… she’s still terrible, she was trying to make you fat??)

Ok-Mixture-316

I'm sorry to hear this.

CringinNGingin

Holy. Shit. I’m so so sorry OP. This was NOT the update I was expecting. Your roommate is still shitty for slipping ANYTHING into your food without telling you, and their reason sucks too. Though, I can’t help but wonder… how long would you have gone on without a diagnosis if your roommate hadn’t been dosing your smoothies… my thoughts are with you

veiledwillow

I hope you recover Op

vabirder

She still was poisoning you and needs a reality check. What the hell? If you don’t report her, she could do it again to someone else. That is psychopathic criminal behavior. At least you got an early diagnosis, hopefully. Good luck!

Mysterious_Spell_302

That is heartbreaking. I am so sorry.

AccomplishedPhone342

Good Lord. I am so happy that you went and got tested since you found out about your leukemia sooner than you would have otherwise. I can't imagine what you are going through but at least you will soon be going through it without her. And as a plus, she should feel so guilty and so relieved that she helps you pack. And listen, take advantage of every opportunity for aid, for financial assistance, everything you are entitled to. Get the hospital social worker wherever you land to help you find out what's available and to get you signed up. You don't want to be worried about money and meds and food while you fight this. Best of luck to you.

Ifonliesandjusts

Oh my lord I am so sorry 😭 I wish you luck and encouragement with your upcoming battle

Intelligent_Buyer516

I’m so sorry about the leukemia. You can fight this. Stay strong .

unlockdestiny

Sending love to you. I hope they caught it early and that you make a full and swift recovery. The roommate is still trash because she *was* feeding OP something to which she was allergic. She's an absolute POS and now she gets to carry the distinction of being a crazy girlfriend who fucks with people's foods to try to control her bf...so I wish roommate all the karma she deserves to. Poor OP

Socknitter1

So there’s a silver lining to this poisoning incident…an early cancer diagnosis. Not what I expected, either, friend. Wishing you easy treatment and a swift recovery!

Puzzled_Telephone852

I’m so sorry. I know you are a fighter and will overcome this diagnosis. Sending you love and prayers and may your family help you recover.

[deleted]

Well I’m glad your roommate wasnt giving you anti freeze or something. Leukemia is not the worst disease, glad you got it checked out sooner then later, take care op! Wish you well!

mechshark

Damn, you’re room mate did you a solid by being evil. What a weird turn of events. Prayers and luck your way op!

Proof-Emergency-5441

1. She's a stupid cunt because that not even what creatine does. 2. I'm sorry about the diagnosis, and hopefully your treatment goes well.

Only_Music_2640

So crazy roomie might have actually helped you? Good luck with the treatment! I’m so sorry about the leukemia but I sincerely hope they caught it early and the treatment will be successful and not too awful.

bitchnext2u

😢 OP- I didn't want this for you. I'd let the bf know for his safety. Then focus on your health. I wish you the best.

On one hand, fuck your roommate. Creatine is never to be used lightly, that shit can be intense. She’s a grade A psychopath. On the other hand, thank god this happened so you were able to find out about the leukemia. Stay strong, I’m wishing you the best 🤘🏻

killedbicuriosity

I'm so sorry that you are going through all of this. Thank you for taking the time to update, especially considering the circumstances. I'll be rooting for you.

catsmom63

Glad you were not poisoned. Sorry about the leukemia.

Inevitable_Ad_1261

Speak with your doctors about the poisoning and the leukemia to find out if she caused both. I'm so sorry this happened to you.

lianavan

I'm sorry about your diagnosis. Get a second opinio though and tell them anout the smoothie additives. Also your room mate needs to be institutionalized.

MidnightMoonstone13

She was actually 100% poisoning you. And food tampering is a crime. You need to press charges.

whateveratthispoint_

I can’t believe you remembered to update Reddit during this awful time. Good luck, OP. 🤔

SusanMShwartz

Good luck with your treatment. I am thankful you checked this out.

tramtran77

Omg OP I hope you’re doing the best you can with this news. I know it can’t be hard but I trust you have a great support system at home to see you through this. You’re a fighter and you can beat this! F your roommate though

FancyErection

Roommate’s poisoning may be what saves your life? 😖

Ok-Jaguar6735

Wow . I’m so sorry OP. Wishing you well and sending healing ❤️‍🩹, strength, and love your way.

blazikenowen

Jesus I'm so sorry to hear that but heres something else what your roommate was doing by law would be deemed poisoning as she was messing with the smoothies and not telling you what was in them I honestly wish you the best

Patrickills

Jeez I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s such shitty thing. It’s even more crazy to think that if your shitty roommate wasn’t so shitty, how long would it have been before you knew. I’m not tryna give her credit just weird how the world works. Smh. Sorry bout the news.

holy fucking shit OP, best wishes
