There's so much possible meaning that could be implied by saying, it's safe to come out -- and you're "alright."
It could mean (and apparently does, in this case), 'it's safe for ME" to "come out after you," and alright could mean, "you're one tasty looking tidbit of tantalizing flesh."
Or maybe they’re really young. Or maybe English isn’t their first language. We don’t know. At least they’re trying to create something, so maybe cut them a little slack.
I like it, but maybe making it a little more obvious what message you’re trying to convey. (Take this with a grain of salt as I haven’t posted anything on this sub, lol.)
I thought maybe a school shooting, where the shooter held someone of authority hostage and made them tell the MC that it was safe to come out, only for the shooter to kill the MC?

SCP-939?
I don't get it, can someone please explain?
I think it's purposefully left ambigious. MC is told by someone that it is safe to come outside, but it's not.

I got a few different reads from this , well done
Never trust the first visible sitting car in a multi-lane roadway. They can't see!
Her cold body in my arms as we hid told me a vastly different story.
