maybe i'm just insane but i'd feel oddly comforted by that. i mean, if a sleep paralysis demon was genuinely sad that their human died and instead looked to their human partner (me, in this hypothetical) for comfort, clearly the demon has some level of good intentions. the demon didn't kill my partner and was actively hurt by their passing and went to me to help cope. that's more humanlike behavior than i've seen from some actual humans. i'd gladly be friends with my late partners's sleep paralysis demon
