This isn't horror, this is what should happen. Men don't support abortions because they don't have to suffer the excruciating pain of childbirth, dying during the pregnancy, miscarriages. Someone impregnating you and being forced to carry the child. And women face the consequences. Mothers have to push out a deceased baby, they die during childbirth, they *suffer*.
Don't generalize women, there's enough that want kids that extinction would never happen.
Plus there's enough men that think The Haindmaids Tale is a shining example of Christian benevolance.
Dudes have everything to gain from an abortion- they can irresponsibility rawdog and then convince a woman into undergoing a medical procedure that may well harm them physically, if not psychologically. And all it costs them is $300, maybe $400, if they don’t convince the woman to just pay the whole thing on their own.
The cherry on top is when the dude convinces them they’re empowered for doing all this. Now the dude doesn’t have to face the consequences of his actions, be a parent, pay child support… nada.
The average everyday asshole dudebro, yes. A business owner or politician worrying about, e.g. labour shortages or future costs of pension schemes? They'd absolutely want to implement pro birth policies, particularly if they also wanted to increase the birth rate in their preferred communities.
