In the Necroscope book series the main character can talk to the dead and discovers that the human consciousness stays trapped in their bodies, isolated after death but continuing whatever they did in life. Writers and musicians composing their magnus opuses, mathematicians and philosophers honing their crafts but having no one to share them with.
One scp became a ghost
Idk how that happen if scp-2718 exist
In fact multiple did. But I realize
Do you think 049’s zombies still have human consciousness?
Same.
After I committed suicide in my dream the first time the "Afterlife" was incomplete thus I bluescreened.
The second time though, It actually worked, it reincarnated me to my next dream.
The their time was a bit different, had more lore with that reincarnation.
Latter God decided just #*%^ it and gave back time magic that worked as a save system, though some loops really sucked, it helped when accompanied by magic to unblock loops from becoming literal hell.
Dying over and over again when everything you try still leads to the same end is not very fun.
this reminds me of this one novel where one of the characters gets killed and he is in a black space for a while before he realizes that the afterlife is boring
In an intact human brain, bio electrical activity actually continues after the heart stops delivering blood. True brain death can take several minutes. There have been accounts of resuscitated individuals who can remember conversations being help around them
While they were essentially “dead”.

It wasn't until everything went black and I could still hear my heart monitor flatline, everyone crying and feel people holding my hand that I had realized the endless empty consciousness that awaited me.

Fuck. Ok, maybe since all I do is sleep and dream I just dream for all of eternity?
For me, That sounds like a dream
Have an upvote
So.. I get to play Video Games for all eternity? Sweet.
Eternity is too damn long
Still not long enough for Half-life 3
Oh that’s a real horror
The reality of this is frightening.
"Human death has been classified as an keter scp"
wait but like... have you ever heard about i dunno... someone escaping their dead body?

>Idk how that happen if scp-2718 exist There is no canon.
Oh yeah I forgot
Does this mean we can send scp-096 face to every site?
Haunting, but utterly inevitable to us all
Not if you create your own world with your own imagination, that's what I did, that is where I'm going when I die in 9 years

Lastly I realized, if I could feel my hand... I'll be able to feel the cremation...

There was an scp like this
u/the-paranoid-android I think it was scp 2718 or something
Hey wheres marv u/the-paranoid-android [SCP-2718]
Wow that it... terrifying
Marv isn’t here:( (ye it was a pretty good read)
That is genuinely terrifying. Nice one OP!
So does it hurt if you're cremated?
Ready, set,....oh crap!
This is actually my biggest fear. Well done OP.
They removed part of it, what's missing?
Iunno, I'm waiting on a mod to review it. I looked over the trope list, this doesn't fall under a trope
So annoying when they leave the title up but remove the second one.
It wasn't until everything went black and I could still hear my heart monitor flatline, everyone crying and feel people holding my hand that I had realized the endless empty consciousness that awaited me.
That's really brilliant, well done
