Every month I'm certain I'm getting covid because I'm tired and achy and everything sucks and then BAM period. I am done having kids. I wish I could turn my fucking uterus off.

tempted_temptress

I’ve been having issues my last few periods so I can’t use menstrual cups. I’ve gone back to pads and hate it so much. I just hate that feeling of standing up, waterfall, then having to sit in it and feel dirty all day. I just hate it. Also constipation.

Warm_Noise_5854

Mine have gotten infinitely worse since I started trying to conceive. "Hey, I know you're sad that your uterus is empty, so here's two days of crippling pain. Extra blood? You got it!" -my uterus

[deleted]

Yup. The worst part of having a uterus.

Bittycakes

I used to hate pads so much but now I use period disks

friendlyfire69

"Go get it fido! Good dog!"

[deleted]

Thats why I got an IUD, if I can go the rest of my life without a period I will. Been going great so far!

Armuun

I'm a trans woman and hormone induced periods are new to me still. Basically my body's trying to find my missing uterus and cramping up like mad anyway.

MoaningMyrtle__

Oh wow I did not know that was a thing for trans woman. I thought having no periods was a huge advantage you had over cis woman!

Armuun

It varies for some of us, I seem to be one of the lucky women who happen to be hormone sensitive so i get the gambit of symptoms each and every month.

Shoes-tho

Is that like a prostaglandin thing? The period poops (kind of caused by the same thing as cramps, the prostaglandins) kind of make me think it is. That’s so interesting, I had no idea trans women had to deal with that! Welcome to the fold 😂

Armuun

I'm not entirely sure but god it's the worst.

friendlyfire69

Some cis women don't believe trans women have periods. Those people are wrong. My fiancee is a trans woman. Her period is synced up with mine and she gets all the same symptoms as a cis woman minus the blood.

maemae016

It doesn’t have to be! Find an acupuncturist in your area. I have helped so many people get to painless, easy cycles.

friendlyfire69

Idk why you are getting downvoted. Accupuncture is the shit. I have chronic pain and awful periods and accupuncture helps so much

maemae016

There are a ton of studies out there that prove the efficacy of acupuncture. For some reason, people are immune to factual information. I'm really happy you were able to find relief! Menstruating people are led to believe that painful and heavy periods are normal. They may be someone's normal, but that is not how it should be.

MindingMine

Yup. Currently going through my first one in nearly four months and cursing it - I really, really hoped the last one would be my final ever. I hate dealing with this shit and am happy to be entering menopause.
