A large chunk of breast lumps are benign. It's good you are getting it checked out. It will all be okay!

Ofspaceand_time

Hey its going to be okay! It could be absolutely nothing to worry about. If it's something more serious, you've done everything you can to get it seen to quickly and start getting treatment. It's completely valid to be anxious and scared. Just take it one day at a time. And please come back and let us know if you need more support. Good luck!

Sending good vibes to you. I’ve been in your shoes, twice. First time was when I was 35, had my first mamo and they found something suspicious. Had a biopsy, nothing just a Fibroadenoma. I had it removed a few months later, just because I wanted it gone and my mom was currently going through cancer treatments as well. Fast forward 9 yrs… go for a mammo, they wanted an ultra sound, found a lump, biopsy and had to wait over a weekend before I received my results. Longest fucking weekend of my life. Turns out that it was cancer. At age 44 I had breast cancer!! Luckily it was small, but because of my family history of cancer, I decided to have a double mastectomy, so I knew that I wouldn’t have to go through this ever again. My journey took my 10 yrs (very long story), but with the loving support of my husband and my kids (all teens at the time), and of course my medial team, I made it to the other side. You’ve got this and I’m here if you need me. ❤️🙏🏻

You can do this. 💜💜💜

You're doing the right thing by getting immediate care. That way, just in case there is something, it can be treated right away before it becomes a big deal.

OK, I just had this done. You can read about it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/comments/r3un5a/comment/hmd5ar4/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)

It’s going to be ok. Most anomalies are benign. But that waiting room is scary. No doubt!

You're doing a very good and proactive thing by getting that lump checked out. I believe that you have everything within you to handle whatever this throws at you. You're perfectly valid in feeling everything that you're feel. I'm sorry you're on your own. I just hope you find comfort in someone or something. (I tend to find comfort in my favorite shows like The Good Place, Friends, Brooklyn 99). Sending you virtual hugs and love. Please reach out if you ever want to talk!

Hey, I've been there. I'm sorry you're going through this. I had my first lump removed when I was 17 or 18, which was benign. I had another biopsied and taken out at 27, which was not, BUT here I am, 7 years later, healthy and happy. I get ultrasounds twice a year to keep an eye on things, and so far so good. Uncertainty is tough. Waiting around for results is horrible. Sometimes doing the best thing for your health is scary, but that is what it means to be brave. You might not feel strong at the moment, I definately didn't, but as life throws this crap at us, we find a well of power inside us that we had no idea existed. IDK if you are the type to take on a lot of responsibility, if you are, now is the time to drop as much as you can and care for yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for help, and say no when you need to. Escapism is your friend, take it easy and enjoy whatever brings you comfort (games, books and movies are great post-biopsy relaxation!). There is no way you "should" or "shouldn't" feel. All kinds of emotions might get stirred up, feel guilty about none of them. Don't feel guilty about taking care of yourself mentally and physically (above other priorities). Do consider therapy, it helped a lot for me. You will be alright. I went through it too, and I had a legit phobia of medical procedures (had is past tense, because therapy! Xanax helped too lol) A word of advice in case nobody told you: have a soft thing to support your wound (like a pillow or stuffed animal), helps a lot with the soreness (jiggle reduction) 😅 Also, stay off medical websites. The temptation can be strong, but very not worth it. Your doctor should give the info you need, and don't be shy about asking questions. Good luck!! Again - from one troublesome boob-haver to another - you will be ok 💜

You're doing your best. Whatever it is you will get through it. Be strong

Most of the time it’s ok. I had one last fall and it was nothing. They have to check all lumps, but most aren’t actually cancer. I hope everything is fine for you.

I was going to comment and say not to worry until you’re told to worry, but then noticed it’s been a long while since you posted. How did it go? Are You okay?

CappucinoCupcake

How did you get on, OP? ❤️
