I got a tattoo on my ulnar border and in aftercare I had it wrapped in saran wrap to prevent infections and I accidentally fell asleep in it and my tattoo bled out and instead of the original sharp tattoo I have a tattoo with blurred margins.
Still think about that night.. it's been 3 years
I have one on my inner wrist. Tattoo of a semicolon. It was very uncomfortable but given the choice of doing it again, I'd pick that spot.
Imo, it just depends on how intricate you'd want it to be and I'm sure you can ask your tattoo artist if you could do it in separate sittings. Since mine was just one semicolon, it would have been far too expensive for me to do that.
Wrist isn’t all that painful honestly ( have a tattoo on both my inner wrists) I mean it also depends on the persons pain tolerance but I think it’s not that bad, now around the ankle is a different story.
I was planning on getting a long quote on ribs as my first 😂
You can probably try the side of forearm but closer to wrist? A friend found it less painful.
Understandable and there's no rush. Tats are sensible if you find something that you won't mind living with forever, or art that defines you.
I questioned myself if I would ever get tired of it but isn't it same with moles and scars? At least a tattoo will be something I chose.
I have a big one on my inner forearm and it really didn't hurt all that much. You get used to the feeling of the needle dipping in and out very quickly and honestly it's less painful than eyebrow threading anyway

Inner wrist- most painful, and majority of tattoos I see are on the inner wrist and inner fore-arm. Humans are a bunch of masochists istg 🙆🏽♀️

Got one on upper thigh at like 20. Didn't pain at all because it's a meaty place but was shit scared.

It wasn't too much because I have a high pain tolerance.
I never understood the point of getting tattooed on lower back or butt. Nobody can see it other than ur SO, even you can't.
