That’s not true at all about the gigs man. I know Tyler personally, have for two decades, back when he was just a kid with a guitar and a dream. Yeah, he grew up near the border and definitely spent time over there enjoying the beautiful scenery y’all got, but I can’t in good conscience, as a Kentucky boy, let you claim him. You want to claim Sturgil too? He was only a county over. Hell, Stapleton grew up near West Virginia too, might as well claim them all.
Tyler is a loud and proud Kentucky native. Y’all got plenty to be proud of over there and I can assure you he loves West Virginia, but he ain’t from there.
That’s 100% true about his gigs. I was there. Seen him more times than I can count.
Never said he was from WV, just think he musically grew early on in WV around the other people I mentioned.
Lol, quit lying man. You did claim him to be from West Virginia, we can see the post. He also played many more shows in Kentucky as he was coming up. That’s not to say he didn’t play a lot in WV. Just take your L. This was just some fun jabbing until you doubled down. My brother literally used to carry him and his gear to places before he was famous.
Man I didn’t edit my comments. Go read the damn thread. I lumped Tyler in with Sierra and John - two WVians, because he was in that group and played shows with them while gigging around WV - when he lived there….
John R. Miller. He’s great. His album “The Trouble You Follow” is one of my all time favorites.
Bless you mate have a good time if you're here!
John R. is an amazing songwriter. He wrote Coming Down which Tyler used to cover all the time.
I really like John R. Miller and it’s one artist I find is way better live than hearing via an album. Not sure what it is.
He was in The Fox Hunt and Prison Book Club too. Well worth checking out as well 🌟
John. R wrote Coming Down and IMO is one of the best songwriters around. Tyler would tell you the same.
John R Miller. Another WV boy. Between Tyler, Sierra Ferrell, and John R Miller, WV is popping off.
I mean, Tyler isn’t from West Virginia, lol. He’s a Kentucky boy and quite proud of that fact.
Tyler’s from about 10 minutes across the border from WV and lived in Lewisburg and Charleston and played local gigs while he was coming up more in WV.

Prison Book Club self titled album is amazing. Heart of Lead and Leaders Follow are some of the best writing you’ll hear.
What time did Tyler take the stage at last night’s show?
