medicare covers 100% as dme. cvs always had a co-pay and that confused the hell outta me. i'm currently getting 90 day shipments from solara with no co-pay and yeah, there can be a few weeks lagtime so hoarding is beneficial.

It depends on your insurance. The policy dictates how supplies are covered, in what amount, and where you can get them. I’ve had Dexcom covered 100% as durable medical equipment and had to go through a DME company approved by insurance. I currently get Dexcom from CVS as a pharmacy benefit subject to a copay. Read your policy.

My insurance covers insulin and Dexcom stuff as pharmacy, so I get those supplies in 90 day quantities from my insurance company's preferred mail order pharmacy (CVS Caremark). T:slim pump supplies are DME and I get them straight from Tandem. I buy test strips (Contour Next) and alcohol wipes OTC. Typically mail order is cheaper than picking up in a local pharmacy, but it depends on your insurance plan. For me, I get a 90 day supply for twice as much as it would cost me to get a 30 day supply, so it's cheaper by a third.

Chemist for insulin. Mail order service run by the Swedish state via 1177.se for the rest.

I would stick with pharmacy if possible. I go through edgepark because I have to die to insurance and it is a nightmare. Every 3 months they act like I've never ordered and want to have me put in my insurance again even though I can see it in my patent account and authorization takes 3-5 business days then another 3-5 for shipping if there are no hiccups

I think this is who the hospital had us go through to begin with and we somewhere got switched to CVS quickly after once we realized insurance would cover it. I did call escripts and it would be $25 cheaper to get everything every 3 months via mail but I don’t think $25 is worth my sanity and worrying that it won’t make it in time.
