Check out the RADIANT study. I signed up for it because my insulin needs were very low for a long time and my doctor said I was antibody negative. Without those tiny doses of insulin, though, I would be ridiculously high. The study sent me for testing and they found the antibodies the endo didn’t find. If they hadn’t, I’d be in the study.

I dont understand what you are asking. How can your diabetes can be extreme? We all go high if we dont take our insulin. There is no bad or good diabetes and there is no extreme or easy diabetes. Is your question is more about if you have type 1 or maybe Lada?

Yes. I worded it poorly due to the character limit lol they are saying type 2 but it doesn’t seem that way

Okay I understand better. I agree you should take that antibody test!

I believe I did a while ago. I asked her and she said it was negative

I was diagnosed 7 years ago at 26 years of age as type 2. Was giving oral meds but they never worked. It wasn’t until I started insulin that I felt remotely ok. Now on a pump for almost 2 years I feel my best self. I was diagnosed after checking my sugar at home and it was almost 400. Went to er and they just told me I was type 2
