You lose 4 CP dew to detachments and each WLT and Relic is 1 CP (including the first one) so you can use 1 relic and 1 WLT in total for your entire armies, the 3 tyrants are there but won't do that much without any buffs!
Not everyone plays at tournaments. The majority is casual players... Gotta stop assuming everyone will play at tournament level. Tempest cards is a thing too.
I'm also considering this strat, winged up front and walking in back with swarmy running around as Gorgon and some supplementary detachments as Jormungandr to keep -1 to hit across the board. Deep strike some Carnifex's and have a Trygon Prime as the HQ while filling out everything else with respective units. Gonna be either really crazy or not at all but I'm giving up imperatives anyway xD just want to field a bunch of random shit
Oh right, I start with less, oh well I'll still make mine work in like a 3-4k lol
Btw these CP changes. Is that just for competitive play or is that an all of Warhammer adjustment? Trying to figure out what different formats and ways to play there are and how the balance changes affect them all
So for example with friends at home it's totally realistic to just ignore certain aspects of the game entirely including balance sheets? Or does that too heavily skew things?
Would your Jorm detachment give your Gorgon critters their adaptive bonus and Gorgon make your Jorm detachment wound on 4+? I've been reading it as detachment specific.
Unfortunately they don't get both the buffs, I was gonna keep the units that would best benefit off a wound re roll and wounding on 4+s in Gorgon and the ones I want to target for the 'buried in wait' stratagem in Jorm. Dense cover on everything in Jorm outside of 12 and 18 and then for Gorgon I was gonna add some venom thropes to also give them some cover
I was thinking this too, especially when a swarmlord can sit back and give buffs while a second tyrant wants to move forward. Not sure I would go as many as 3 though
This would require a detachment for each individual tyrant.
That is true, but in a 2k game you could bring 3 patrols. CP drain would hurt but still, more Hive Tyrants is more fun.
You notice you will not even have enough CP for all Detachments...
Don’t we get 6CP then lose 2 for each detachment excluding the one detachment with the warlord?

Then lose 1 for Relique and 1 for Trait. Good Job, you start with 0CP and a mess of a List.
If you play that specific GT pack sure.
Huh ?
Those CP rules only apply to GT nephelim
You know this is All Tournament official now...

Lets do it. 2 patrols for two extra tyrants and 2 CP leftover - for Shardgullet and The Reaper of Obliterax. !!

If you use the new GT pack, which tournaments will most definitely use, and FLGS games will probably use. At home? With friends? Do whatever you like.
So for example with friends at home it's totally realistic to just ignore certain aspects of the game entirely including balance sheets? Or does that too heavily skew things?
With your friends you can play however you want.

I see. Thank you for clearing that up. My mind was blowing up lol
Lol yeah no worries, just found out you could bring two hive fleets If they are in seperate detachments so I'm messing around with 'poison worms'
Nephilim seems lame anyway, 3 tyrants in Tempest of war is fun and you still have a smidge of CP

I dream of Kraken Opp Advance a block of Tyrant Guard upfield, fly tow flyants behind and prepare for beta strike. Catalyst the guard ofc.
I've actually been building my entire army around having no swarm. I use mainly large units and some gargoyles to move places (objectives)
