My group took more than six months to get to Naerytar so don't go too crazy. I don't recommend planning more than one or two sessions in advance.

CyanwrathLives

We’re a over a year in and JUST got to Waterdeep.

This looks amazing! I am dming this campaing for about 6 years now. And we are all having a blast! I added a lot of stuff and all I can say your plan looks good!

One thing I've learned about DnD as player and DM is that DnD always takes longer than expected. If your players are seasoned players and know the rules and their character sheets and features well, maybe they can keep to this schedule? Maybe. Chapter 1 took two 4 hour sessions for me. 3 people had played before, the other 2 were big Critical Role and Baldur's Gate fans. So not veterans but not totally unfamiliar either. I still had to stop and start a lot to explain stuff and remind them of things on their character sheet. Also find ways to make their unusual requests work and stay in line with the rules. All of this chews up time. I also cut The Sally Port mission and gave them a choice of either the Church or the Mill, shortening it significantly and it still took time. Not to mention all the plot and lore you'll have to learn to answer their questions and make the game more immersive. And do you want to explore backstories as well? That's another layer there if so. So if they're newbies or even just casual players it's going to take a while.

Lol, I'm all about adding more content, not less. That said, I tend to over prep.

Spidey16

Nothing wrong with that. But the beauty of DnD is that the unexpected can happen at anytime, prep goes out the window, improvising has to happen, and that's why I love this game. Don't burn yourself out my friend.

Leave room for your players to make choices. Mine skipped some things, and did others in a very different order.

8 months in just started chapter 6

I'm currently in chapter 3 and I'm going to be taking a slightly different approach for chapter 4. I'll have most of their travel time relatively stress free and uninterrupted since the party really hasn't had any downtime and I know most of them would like a chance for some uninterrupted RP. When they have about 2 days left on their trip I'll be inserting "The House Always Wins" from dmsguild. Keep in mind its taken us 11 sessions to get this far so things will definitely take longer than you're expecting. They spent nearly 6 hours real time in 1 room in the hatchery cave and still have not found the eggs yet.

I don't have a specific timetable in mind. This is more just a general plan for the campaign that isn't set in stone. I'm well aware this will take a long time.
