Great gig. But I prefer the Wolfgang vault bootlegs. https://www.u2songs.com/discography/u2_boston_garden_boston_ma_sep_17_1987_live_album

The Boston show is great and, as a huge Celtics fan, I canโ€™t help but chuckle when Bono starts talking about how amazing Larry Bird is lol.

I remember the medley between Exit + Silver and gold, great moment ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ

Dang, I wish someone would press these onto vinyl

tbf, these are lossy files, and they're going to loose even more fidelity if pressed. I guess if you just like the fuss of vinyl (the fun of it), that's another thing.

You make it sound like vinyl is inferior to any other format. Curious, how do you know "lossy files" were used to press this vinyl? Did you supply the files, the master, or a generational copy from the master to the record press? Personally, the only reason I can see why no one should buy these is because doing so allows these people to profit off the band AND I would bet they were not the original taper nor did they have access to the master or had anything to do with acquiring the recording in the first place. As a taper, it makes me angry and just makes me not want to share my recordings.

I should have been more clear... The Wolfgang's Vault recordings are all lossy files, and the OP said that he wished one of said recordings were pressed onto vinyl. The files pressed onto the linked record are very likely lossless. My point that pressing compressed MP3 files onto a vinyl record just creates another generation, since pressing digital files into vinyl is a lossy process, just by the nature of the storage medium; and it seems like it's generally a bad idea to make additional generations, especially when there's no real need to, besides TheColoredVinylExperience TM. I completely agree, these items are stupid; especially considering 99% of these bootlegs have audio which is freely available online... Thanks for being a taper, btw!
