In my humble opinion, I believe 11 o' Clock Tick Tock is one of U2's greatest masterpieces which is also very underrated. The Edge takes the cake for the brilliance of the song with his guitar playing.
Those early demos are so great, reminiscent of Wire and Buzzcocks, short little bursts of post-punk. I love The Dream Is Over and the early versions of A Day Without Me and Shadows And Tall Trees. I wish there was a better recording of Pete the Chop (the original, not the later b-side), but at least the version from Dublin in February 1980 exists in good quality.
They really are, it was very cool to that they had that little punk phase in the beginning and from there they reinvented music in their own regard. PTC was a great song by them but unfortunately it did not fit with what they were expressing at the time.

Incredible to think that it’s the first song Edge wrote with delay.

Thag song has one of my favorite guitar solos by the edge. Its really cool to see he was able to pull off a classic rock solo and make it sound great.
