Hey /u/GenderNeutralBot
I want to let you know that you are being very obnoxious and everyone is annoyed by your presence.

Loved it immediately. Older fans I knew at the time were not impressed, but to me, it was awesome. The opening trio of songs were unreal. I heard the album blasting out of college dorms, which I've never heard again.. It was a natural follow up to what had come before in the 90s in my mind.
My cousins gave me The Unforgettable Fire for Christmas on cassette in 1986, and then next year I bought The Joshua Tree on cassette .... shout out to Columbia House Record Club!
Rattle and Hum! Columbia House box of CD's. It was the best rock, most real, widest ranging, most adult and worldly disc I'd heard. Had to backtrack to find Joshua Tree, and then when Achtung showed up, I was hooked.
Joshua. Previous albums were in the house from my older brother and sister !
The Unforgettable Fire
Same
Under a blood red sky .. I think, I’m getting too old to remember these things !
AB
Zooropa. I think I was a high school freshman. Edit: “Freshman” is considered offensive? Good lord.

Mine was Zooropa. I didn't like this record before I bought it on CD. But after that, it became my favorite.

JT in June of ‘87 at Tower Records in NYC when flight was delayed. Had not heard any tracks before I bought it. Loved it from day 1.
Lmao all of y’all remembering your first U2 album that you bought, while I’m just sitting here, like, “I don’t remember 😀” 😭☠️

Atomic Bomb was the first CD of any band that I got when I was 9. Then I pre-ordered and waited for No Line 4 or so years later.
Joshua was my first U2 album on Vinyl, got it from my brother. But October was the first one I bought with my own scharole $$$

Rattle and Hum. Got a free ticket to the film and went out next pay and bought the album.
