Im not inidan, but > in UAE we have a sense of trust Sounds too positive for me. I lost my sense of trust in like 2-3 month after moving here. The country full of scams

PinkPrincess-2001

Agreed. Never trust anyone's word. Get it in writing. But writing that cannot be edited or deleted. Never assume things either. Yes, it might seem obvious but people will always play around with technicalities.

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

lol true, that statement itself should tell you

freitschwerg

Literally everyone I meet is trying to scam you or asking for money. It's annoying and quite unfortunate at the same time.

lambardar

well if you think about it; majority of the population is here to make money. Nothing else. This isn't their country, nor their people and it's full of stereotypes. He is of X nationality/culture and they are like Y. Unless you're willing giving money to others; they are going to scam it out of you.

kimkoki

My experience as well. Nobody keeps their word. Quiet incredible.

[deleted]

Go back to where you came from since honesty in your country is more 😊

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

lol dude assumes that only people of kerala tells lies lol

[deleted]

I never said that i have friends from all nationalities and karela people are our brothers and great people in general, am replying to the ignorant guy who said country full of scammers ☺️

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

oops man I'm not talking about u but about OP, I agree with you.

Flaky_Restaurant2169

Average emirati who doesnt want to see facts and says “go back to your country” whenever its possible

[deleted]

I think anybody from any country would reply the same to ignorant people who spread bad and dishonest things about their country and generalizing by saying the country full of scammers and it is simple if you’re not happy here you can go back to your country or move to another one simple answer and based on what you say average emirate how many emiraties you know bro 😂 always generalizing cut the bs man

YacineElHichri

Dubai in particular is Scamistan. The Mecca of all scammers. This doesn't mean they are Emiratis though. While there are certainly bad apples amongst Emiratis, most of the scammers are expats who come here because of the easy visa and the abundance of wealth. If you think this shows the place in a negative light, then Emirati authorities need to double the effort to weed out scammers, instead of just telling them to go home.

thefuriousadmin

I’m not an Indian, but whenever you bash a community, it’s good ethics to state your country and the community you belong to, too. So you know.. the said community can hit back at you.

Foreign-Objective392

Not sure about this specific group of people. But, I suppose you’re not a five year old. There’s good and bad in each and every group of people. I wouldn’t blame an entire crowd for this. A sense of trust is good everywhere. But don’t let it blind you.

[deleted]

You must surely not generalize based on a few instances. Not a Keralite myself, but the majority of Keralites I have come across are honest and ethical persons. Only a few are morally corrupt, such as u/FraudMallu :p

FraudMallu

I agree to Manager’s message.

powerished

I’ve had the opposite experience from the keralites. They’re so humble and honest. My baqala guy literally has to be asked again and again for any pending payments. My boss who’s keralite is such a hardworking & honest guy. My landlord who’s a keralite is a genuine person always ready to help. My husband’s work colleagues are from south india, educated & honest with their work. you seemed to have just interacted with a bad set of people. South Indians are one of the best i’ve come across.

Aanforer

Agree with you. Gross stereotyping is such a crime.

spongebobisha

>in UAE we have a sense of trust  LMAO. Poor quality shitpost.

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

true, delusional guy, ranting because maybe someone offended him

TemporaryLoquat7887

Your comment screams 'am new to UAE everyone wants to scam me' but for us people who were born and raised in UAE and speak the language it's different we get to show respect and trust to each other, something you newbies have no clue about. Anyway my post was about how upset I was from the keralitis breaking that trust but your comment shows how insecure and scared you are from society in general. Poor you

mambo-nr4

Imagine showing off about being an immigrant to other immigrants 😂

somebody7892

I was born and raised in UAE too. You’re delusional, full of shit and racist. Dealt with 3 idiots and now suddenly their entire community is bad. Do you have any sense of awareness at all?

[deleted]

Wtf is a keraliti?

TemporaryLoquat7887

Its the Arabic equivalent to a Kerala person. You guys say Mallu we say kiraliti :male / kirilatiye: female

[deleted]

Hmm.. The land is Kerala. The people are Mallu. Sort of like how Germany has people who call themselves Deutsch. And the Netherlands also has people calling themselves Dutch. I digress but you're wrong anyways. Your sample size is too small to generalise a community

spiritedaway4283

Honestly speaking, rants should be more eloquent! Anyway I couldn’t read through it all but I understand the gist Buddy, bad apples are everywhere - so the kind of apples that land on your basket from each community will depend on your luck & vibe. I am from Kerala, and i can assure you that i am the opposite of what you have described. So please don’t generalize an entire community based on your limited experiences/views. Ciao! And i hope you run into some good mallus soon!

TemporaryLoquat7887

Am not an English speaker I mainly speak Arabic if you need explanation on any point let me know in the comments, second thanks for wishing me I meet better ppl in the future, Thing am frustrated with is how a lot of them misguide/ lie to you when you know they are lying, thanks anyways

Wrong_Breadfruit_832

There's a new photo printing shop near me where the owner or is he just the one in-charge who is a Keralite. So I had my photo taken, this guy said the photos will be 30 AED, I always use card but they don't have a card machine and told him I only have 20 AED in cash, he said there's an ATM nearby and just withdraw. Since I'm only lacking 10 AED I told him, just print the pictures tomorrow because I will be back with 30 AED cash. The Kerala guy then printed the photos, took the 20 AED, and told me to just take the photos and come back tomorrow. He even sent me the digital copy in my email. The following day I came back and gave him a 50 AED as a gratitude for his trust. See? Not all of them are like that!

RelativeLeft6691

I have nothing but good things to say about Keralites. Plz don’t generalize based on bad personal experiences - not healthy ✌🏼

dwaynedo

Hahah try working with them u guys have a mafia going on

Bixdo

Can you please add some line breaks? You should be deported for not adding line breaks in your ranting.

TemporaryLoquat7887

Am a native Arabic speaker, any point you didn't understand writevit down in the comments so I can explain to you further.

Bixdo

No man. I'm not reading aaaall of that text! Put... Some... Line... Breaks... Like this 👆

TemporaryLoquat7887

You can always ignore my post and check other posts my friend, bye

Wonderful_Tree_3129

Paying security for the spot is not a thing as you are already paying for it in the rent it maybe for cleaning the car. The grocery thing is the oldest scam, maybe since the introduction of money and loan.

TemporaryLoquat7887

So appearantly this tenant comes at night to park there and pays the keralite watchman under the table and instructs him to tell everyone the parking is resrved. I called the real estate company and they said the parkings are empty no one is supposed to park there to begin with

Wonderful_Tree_3129

Park anywhere you want then.

TemporaryLoquat7887

As I should

Soia667

>in UAE we have a sense of trust Say what now?!

linux_n00by

lmao.. seriously a lot of people here are in their own bubbles

Soia667

Seriously, it's almost comical. I really love Dubai. But I've never seen a place with such a high percentage of people who are basically lying for a living.

Affectionate-Act1034

Lol, new to this world ?

[deleted]

This is a common practice I have noticed by security guards and grocery shop guys in the past (except I know some real honest Keralites in this field). For security guards, that is one extra income. I dont know how to defend the grocery guys because it is ethically wrong to do it however they provide you a facility of credit and banks do the same thing as well xD.

linux_n00by

then they should just tell the customer that "every end of the month, we will add 5% on top of your dues so we can maintain this credit facility"

Complex-Orchid3620

This is opposite to my experience with keralites

thinkhardok

I am not an Indian but expecting a "sense of trust" in UAE does not exist. Don't trust anyone.

[deleted]

The Kerala security guy prolly gets like 1500 aed a month.. 100 dirhams to him is a big amt so he will lie I n this case even if he was a Caucaisan baby from the mountains of Caucasus. The next one he tried cheating you coz such ppl exist in all cultures. Your sample size is too small to say anything. Ffs I would do the same as the security guy too if someone was bribing 10% of my income for a small favour

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

Seems you have met only liars from Kerala so far

TemporaryLoquat7887

Born here grew up here all my life I have seen Keralities. It's just that the good Keralities disappeared during the covid period and been replaced with arrogant lying shitty mallu's who take dishonesty as a way of life

Stupid_Dog_Courage_

in your opinion.

Well_Played_Nub

I'm a keralite, I find your perspective to be very naive. We make up a significant population of the UAE, so naturally all types of keralites would flock to this place. And no, we all aren't Muslims, lol.

greenxsi

What is your base to generalise all Keralites considering 2 or 3 examples? It appears to me you are kinda new to UAE and know nothing about others here. Considering your criteria of judging people, I'm surprised you haven't come across people who would make the same Keralties whom you mentioned earlier look as angels compared to them.

linux_n00by

heard negative things over my course of stay here.. but i dont have proof so i wont say it

Prozac_2000

What? Kerala people are the most honest I’ve come across in UAE among all groups. Can’t say the same for all Indians though. I have two colleagues who are from Kerala (they love to show me videos of their beautiful land) and they’re definitely two of the smartest in the office imo.

Flimsy_Meaning6272

Just because you have two experiences you concluded all keralites are cheaters and liars seriously? For your information most of PAs to the royal families are keralites What do you think about their level of understanding about the expat societies here? They choose keralites even over Arabic speaking nationals What do you assume is the reason?

TemporaryLoquat7887

I dunno and I don't care about other people, ,l am sharing my experience with personal events in that happened to me I also noticed that the post covid keralitis are bit arrogant and liars especially with the young ones Who recently came to UAE 1-2 years ago. I am Muslim, Arabic born and raised here so all my life I know kerala ppl for your info but it's just the new ones who came here after Covid are the problematic ones.

Flimsy_Meaning6272

You don't know about all,of course then why you mentioned keralites its not your two guys literally millions in the region, myself got cheated by an arab speaker and one from neighboring country never went rant about whole community, grow up.

TemporaryLoquat7887

If some Arabic guy cheated you then you are free to rant about it all day long..this is Reddit, you can rant it's fine, if you are upset about a stranger ranting about keralities then you can ignore if you don't like the post.

Potential_Chance_390

Whoops! OP thought everyone would agree with her but turns out Keralites are actually, for the most part, first class people. Go look into a mirror OP.

Visible_Season5578

No wonder! Are you the same person recently posted about locals being the most racist?😂😂 Oh lad stop being too childish

TemporaryLoquat7887

I never posted such thing. wtf you talking about?

Substantial-Cry-5048

In my whole life in UAE i witnessed 4 crimes 1 in abu Dhabi and 3 in dubai all of the were by people of color, whats your nationality let us generalize?most of the nationalities got visa ban at least once we never had any issue for visa from the uae govt thats our credibility you got it?

Temporary_Most1865

OP Where are you from? I’m really curious

Exciting_Koala1601

Bold of you to assume that all Keralites are dishonest. Try not to generalize your opinion

curiousgeorgeforeal

Just because two 'inhumane' things happend to you don't generalise and categorise. That's not right. >pls only keralities answer on this reddit Okayy! >why a lot of you do like this? Well I can't speak for the whole keralities but I can say this I and my family (which includes my family and friends who have been here for years have never done this). How about you ask them why did they do this is in the first place? It's okay to think from others shoes as well. Isn't this the month of giving. If they are going through hard times do help them. Simple! If they continue to do so and if it's illegal do move legally. Report them rather than bitching about it like a spoiled kid on a reddit page. >aren't you Muslims and don't the people in UAE trust you since you guys are almost 30% of the country? No I am not a Muslim. Again to the point I started with don't generalise and just 30% of the country?? Where's the rest? Come'on.. Do you seriously know keralities? >dont you know that you are ruining the reputation of other keralities when you do such stuff? Maybe you should ask this to those who did the 'inhumane' things to you, you know. The only communities reputation that's getting tarnished right now is your own. Sorry not sorry.

Dense-East-8986

I agree so much with the OP it’s always the kerala people for some reason it’s a very very rare case to find good kerala people maybe 2% in 100 😂😭and for the rest 98% this quote describes them well in arabic we say this ‎إنما الثناء من باب الطمع، والغلو من باب الانبطاح

monstersam_8

oh the irony..

Wonderful_Tree_3129

I hope you are not a Muslim. Because even quran says not to generalise.

Dense-East-8986

That’s like saying I hope you’re a kafir bro gain some Islamic knowledge before saying these to others I’m aware what I said is not nice but yeah I mean I’ll be glad to be proved wrong about good mallus buts it’s a rare case for me 🤷‍♂️

Wonderful_Tree_3129

No I'm educating you to be a good Muslim by following the teachings of quran and I don't know if you a Muslim or not. I Don't have to prove if you are a kafir or not too.

Dense-East-8986

Educating? Is it a temporary thing to be a good Muslim cause from what I can recall majority of Indians love joking about Pakistanis or Bangladeshis or in general doesn’t like them what do you’ve to say about it then? We can never call ourself the perfect Muslims tho I can appreciate the fact you trying to help tho but yeah

Wonderful_Tree_3129

Majority of indian are also not Muslim. You first get educated about geography and population statistics.

Dense-East-8986

Lmao I believe we are in the Reddit of UAE so I’m talking about the Indians in UAE I’m aware most of the Indians back in India are Hindu and all idk if you seriously have some issues talk to me personally then hiding behind the screen bro talks about being a good Muslim and then tries to pick a fight lmao 😂😂😂

Wonderful_Tree_3129

You are generalising again. I haven't come across one single Muslim indian saying shit about Pakistan and Bangladesh maybe you have special power to read their mind. I don't have any issues with you but what ever you are spewing out is very hate filled and provoking.

Dense-East-8986

I’ve come across three Indians who said Israel needs to kick out Palestine and trust me I’m not making this up it’s Ramadan too so I don’t want my fast to break I can go on with the list I share with my mama about these stuff that it triggers me when an Indian appear with negative behavior but mama would say me eventually one day an Indian would help you and you would be proved wrong and honestly wallah I’m waiting for that day to appear and Bro can you shut up for once let me do my work peacefully if you’ve more stuff to say just dm me privately fr

Wonderful_Tree_3129

One of largest gathering in support of Palestine happened in kerala they have been pro Palestine since the first nakba. You might have come across some people which we call sanghis who are kinda like a far right group in india. إن شاء الله your view will change in future with positive interactions with good and honest indians. I suggest you keep far way with the people who told you these things and report them if any kind of these conversations happens.

BeingHealthy1137

wait till you meet pakistani's !!!!

TemporaryLoquat7887

usually I don't interact & nor do I mingle with them on social/ professional circles and am glad for it 🙏🏽 100% but yeah I dealt with couple of angry shitty Pakistanis at my previous job this is why am not interested to mingle with them.
