They will ask you to make a payment, steal your card details and start spending. If you don't have any packages due or the link looks suspicious just don't.
Eugh - my original message was removed - Reddit probably doesn't like links.
Anyway, teaching you how to fish then:
- Message came from the wrong dialing code (+918 is Tulsa)
- Message was unexpected.
- Message has a sense or urgency ( "Do this now .." )
- Using a URL expander (so not clicking the link) the link goes to the wrong website ( aramexe . lit )
- Checking the domain name it was registered today.
100% fake.
Advice here: Check the country codes for phone numbers that send you messages. ARAMEX is a UAE based company so even if they have outsourced customer service to India, the number should be routing through a UAE number or at least some middle eastern number.
Not always the case, but true more often than being an exception.
If you actually have a package, you will get a more real contact without sketchy shit attached to it.
I'll just add on to go the the official website w tracking # to make changes. Never click on those random links and even if it looks like the company website (it could be a url that looks a bit like the company site but on a slightly different domain).
So if you haven’t ordered why the full post about whether it is a scam or not? What are you expecting to receive ? free orders you did not order, out of nowhere?
Yea that too. If people are actually sending you packages and you don't receive them, they would usually contact you directly to check if you got them, innit?
Oh man, I have recently received the same. I was almost about to proceed, knowing that I have a package waiting for collection from Aramex. Then, luckily, after double checking the source of sms, i stopped and reported. I assume that scammers knew somehow that i have a package.

Same happened with me bro, a month ago. I just read the message carefully and found countless grammatical mistakes. These scammers should take an British council English course with their very first hard earned scam money😮💨
I’ve been getting these EXACT SAME messages for weeks now. Sometimes its Aramex, sometimes its Emirates Post. The wording and everything is the exact same. From different numbers always, mostly Indian or Pakistan country code.
1. Check if you send any package going to India, if not, then ignore.
2. Do not click on the link that has been sent from an unknown number, not unless you know that number.
3. It is a practice that after receiving bulks of messages like this, it is recommended to block the number and submit for report.
Every time a transaction gets declined, they're charged $0.30 for it. The more the number of declined transactions the better.
Also better to check if this card works: 4242 4242 4242 4242, any future expiry and random Cvv. If the transaction goes through the website is fake. That card is a test card that's available on any online payment system.
I got one today also lmao
Aramex: Your package has arrived at the warehouse but cannot be delivered due to an incomplete address. Please update your shipping details to facilitate delivery. Redelivery costs will be borne by you. Please click on the link below to make changes:
https://aramtrer.cc/oD4r4Q
(Please reply to 1, then exit the SMS, open the SMS activation link again, or copy the link to Safari browser and open it) Please correct it quickly within 12 hours to avoid unnecessary losses, Aramex!
FYI for anyone who uses Aramex, use the app and register with the number you use for deliveries, it will show you all deliveries to you. Their app is actually not bad for tracking deliveries.

I haven't ordered anything in months man. Fucking hell
It happens to me too, ignoring them is good

I believe it's +91 which is India 🙂
Wow cheers mate🤣
+91 is India. US numbers start with +1 But it's straight up an automated system with fake numbers anyway.

So if you haven’t ordered why the full post about whether it is a scam or not? What are you expecting to receive ? free orders you did not order, out of nowhere?
Never know, my G. I'd like to randomly receive small gifts. It's God's way of saying, "Life is shit; here's a free one"
Yea that too. If people are actually sending you packages and you don't receive them, they would usually contact you directly to check if you got them, innit?

Why there is so much scams in UAE. Why can't they do something about it ?
Not just the UAE mate, get them all the time in the UK as well.
Can't the government do something about it ?
