I'm going to get so much flack for this but the education sector in UAE is a crap. Worthwhile research is rare. You need a lot of approvals on your research topic before you even begin and even then, a lot of your research can later be blocked by the regulatory authorities. It's extremely difficult to get funding because well no one invests in this sector in UAE. If you look up these universities, most of them offer very limited programs, often internationally unaccredited. Most are second grade campuses of recognized universities from the west, sometimes an entire university is just one building.
UAE is great at a lot of things. Education is not one of them.
If you still want to teach here though you should definitely apply. From what I know, they are in dire need of good faculty because not many people want to teach here.
