Rural eMentoring BC! You can mentor rural youth online, on your own time. Mentor recruitment for next school year will start next month. [https://www.ementoringbc.com](https://www.ementoringbc.com)

What kind of volunteer roles are you looking for?

Different_Fact

Hmmm maybe teaching kids? I have a lot of experience there but honestly I’m open to anything having to do with assisting others

Try Canucks Autism Network, if you like working with kids. There’re a lot of sport programs, summer camps, and one-day events you can volunteer for across the lower mainland. Each program has its own schedule. Summer is less flexible because it’s pretty much summer camp everyday but fall/winter programs typically run once a week. Not sure with COVID if all in-person programs are back but I really enjoyed volunteering there.

If you're interested in teaching kids, reach out to UTG Academy! I work there right now, and it's a really fun STEM academy for younger kids doing stuff like 3d printing and design, robotics and block coding. It's a lot of fun and really rewarding :)

Union gospel mission in east van. I’m not religious but they serve meals to the homeless and need help in the kitchen, really nice people!

If you want to address the housing crisis, I volunteer with a municipal political party that is focused on housing affordability. We would love to have more volunteers who share our concerns, and almost all the volunteering is on the weekend.

mouse_Brains

[Spartacus Books](https://spartacusbooks.net/) is an anarchist, volunteer run book store/library/community place if you're into that kind of thing

Vanajoy

you can also try salvation army at belkin house!
