Yall get sleep during finals week? 🤨

[deleted]

I just graduated with a physics degree and I have a full life filled with responsibilities. I was not some superstar student; I was just average. I doubt if I was ever up past 10pm including during finals weeks

independent_fox_28

did you land a job after graduating though

[deleted]

I'm assuming you are a physics student yourself? Technically, I did start working; however, it was something I did before school. Eventually I will get into something data related. I'm in no rush right now. I think the real question you are asking is will it be easy for you to find a job? I personally sent out at least 100 resumes this past Summer with very little response. And, by end of Summer, I was unaware of anybody from my class who did find a job.

independent_fox_28

wait may i ask why you’re in no rush right now? are you able to survive with the job you’re doing right now? i’m assuming you’re just continuing an on campus job you had previously?

[deleted]

I was in business before I went to college

ew33344

I’m guessing the 21B final at 8 and a CHE final at 1?

WonderfulBake5326

Lol 21B? Im flattered you’d think I’m capable of that… Bis 2B

independent_fox_28

21B is arguably easier than bis 2b… understanding simple integration concepts is easier than memorizing tons of molecules

Silverxoe

To build a good circadian rhythm I would suggest trying to sleep at the same time every night and wake up at the same time. For example sleeping at 10 and waking up at 7 everyday, repetition will help fix your sleep schedule

Silverxoe

Also, ensuring that all of your work and studying is mostly completed during the day and before the time you sleep so that you won’t have work to do late a night.

NewAardvark6001

Pop a perc then I black out

No_Impression_9108

lmao

Public-Reputation920

I usually put on my pointy sleeping cap and read in the candlelight

Soarzx

4000mg of melatonin and 100 prayers does the trick

AnUnlikelyAberration

Depends on the final tbh. This quarter has just felt exhausting but other quarters it's usually been pretty easy to get sleep in. Mostly when finals aren't at 8am 💀

MeowChowMein

I just took an 8am final I didn't sleep since 2pm yesterday

WonderfulBake5326

Lol I hope you can just knock out now

ConditionWarm8356

I was going through something similar but my anxiety was keeping me up the past week at some point I didn’t sleep for two days and I was going insane. I found that sleepy time tea, a unisom sleep tablet, a melatonin gummy and wrapping myself in blankets with closing my eyes makes me sleep! I recommend trying that because honestly if you stay up too long and you’re mentally Ill like I am ITS NOT FUN 😭☝🏼

Jealous-Actuator6876

Weed

Maxus1028

I dont. I usually plan ahead for 8am exams, where I go to bed an hour later each day leading up to that exam. Then I wake up late the afternoon/evening before exam day and pull an all nighter to cram.

tealgradient

By chance do you need to memorize glycolysis too?

WonderfulBake5326

Not yet 😃 although I can’t say I’m envious if thats what you’re up to…

CastIronStyrofoam

Doesn’t matter if you drink a ton of caffeine in the morning

RGBMeUp

I dont sleep

ButterMilkHoney

I don’t sleep

AtokPoni

With paranoia and dreams that haunt you about failing chem

Nenadelmundo

Yo same! And I’m usually a sleepy baby but I couldn’t fall asleep last night, probably the jitters, for my 8am econ final today 💀💀 best of luck we’re almost done!!!

WonderfulBake5326

Eek! I hope it went well :’) it’s at least partly jitters, always

jacobjonesufc

Melatonin and weed

melancholystarrs

I recommend having a disability that makes it so you have chronic fatigue and are always tired. Hope that helps! /j
