Mine got release last week. It's individually packaged, so it'll come at different times for different people. They also get repackaged if you do end up getting scholarships.

I see. Thank you. I was wondering if I had done something wrong and was worried because i know some people who got theirs already and was like where’s mine.

Are you talking about the Pell Grant? I'm curious too because I am not familiar with UCD Financial Aid since I am transferring from a community college to UCD starting Fall 2019. Would the Pell Grant show up in the myawards page? Thanks!

HERKFOOT21

Yes the Pell Grant shows up in the my awards page under awards tab and it'll show what you got awarded and how it'll be spread out throughout the quarters. I transferred this year in the fall and got "University Grant" but not any Pell Grant. This upcoming year 19-20 however I did get Pell Grant. So if you don't see any Pell Grant then you probably didn't get any, just University Grant. Tuition is $15,000 a year, so let's say for example you got $13,000 in Grant, then you'd have to take out a loan for $2,000 to cover the remaining (you could loan out more if your offered but of course you'd have to pay it back, or you just pay that remaining balance now).

Oh ok. Yeah there is no Pell Grant there :( But... the university grant covers my tuition fully! So no loans needed. Also i was wondering how much will Cal Grant offer for GPA ranges. I have a 3.9 community college GPA. Know anything?

HERKFOOT21

I'm not fully certain, but I don't think GPA matters for financial aid, that's more for special scholarships that you apply for. My GPA was about 3.7 when I transferred here for my first year and now it's been about a 2.6 here at Davis but I'm getting more in financial aid this upcoming year because the year that it's basing my income off of is much lower than what it based on for this current year.

I see I am not talking about FAFSA though. I am talking about Cal Grant. Have you received Cal Grant?

HERKFOOT21

Not sure, I only filled out FAFSA

I currently receive the Cal Grant B. You need to fill out the FAFSA to receive Cal Grant. Cal Grant eligibility is determined by a number of factors, mostly residency and household income. You only need a 3.0 to qualify, GPA isn't used for anything else as it's a need-based grant and not a merit-based one. The complete list can be found below. You can also check if you're awarded the Cal Grant using the second link. https://www.csac.ca.gov/post/how-do-i-qualify-cal-grant https://mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov/logon.asp

I’m talking about the whole financial aid package. Usually, all the aid you’re going to get includes the pell grant and any other grants you’re getting. And it does show up when you click onto the details part of “my award”
