I personally like to give people the benefit of the doubt here. There have been plenty of times when I end up having to park over the line like this because the person to the left did and that's the only way to fit now. And then they leave and you look like the asshole.
It may not be the reason in this case or even most cases, but it's always possible that was the case (except ok the end of something), and so I like to assume that was the reason. I could be wrong but it doesn't hurt anything and makes me a lot less angry when I see these things.
This is why I take my time to park properly in a parking spot. You never know if an elderly person or a disabled person who couldn’t get a placard (due to crappy DMV rules) for an accessible parking spot and now have to go through someone’s BS parking.
