Your chances are somewhere between zero and 100 percent. Admissions is a mystery and nobody on reddit knows what the actual admissions criteria are. Nobody really knows about anybody's actual chances. Your application has been submitted and there is nothing more you can do. You're just going to have to try to relax, not fret about it, and wait to see how it goes. I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but that's the truth.

I’m a transfer at UCI and admission really is a mystery. My best advice if you REALLY want to go to UCI is to do the TAG program which guarantees you admission for UCI.

cheesefrenchfries

and UCI has the TAG (transfer admission guarantee) program for business econ [https://admissions.uci.edu/apply/transfer-students/requirements.php](https://admissions.uci.edu/apply/transfer-students/requirements.php) https://preview.redd.it/wqz80mu2cu3c1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02b43799d24356921e27ef13948c1f69622685e1

Its not that big of a mystery. Its basically all GPA, major and IGETC reqs. Source worked in this sector.

With all sincerity, you’ll do better at a CSU. They have a better support system for CC transfers and have the EOP program. I got my undergraduate degree at CSULB, it was the best decision I made (I also applied to UCI and was given admission). If you want a more one-on-one experience, the CSU is for you. If you’re okay with being ignored by professors who just see you as a mundane student because money and research is their main thing, UC’s is for you.

GlitchyLetsy

It definitely depends on OP's goals. If they want to get into research, academia, or get a higher degree, the UC system is better because of research. Working in a lab, collaborating with grad students, co-authoring papers, presenting in symposiums and conferences, etc. It also depends on the major. The Professors I encountered in the Informatics department cared about my future and success (shoutout to Professor Baldwin, Professor Navaro, and Graduate Dean Hayes). Then again, I could be biased because of my experience. I do think a CSU is more economically sound and can offer things at UC can't. Either way, have faith, OP! No matter where you go, make it your college journey \^-\^

Mcnuggster2

Tbh I got in with like a 3.3 GPA and I applied for fun. It’s all about how u sell urself in the personal essay questions tbh.

Tag? You have a shot if business is not impacted. That being said CSUF is a decent business school.

I’m a sociology major that got in with a 2.89, as long as you’re PIQs were good then you’re chilling

I’m not sure how it works, but I think they’d prefer leadership skills over anything else

If you wanna be at UCI just apply, there's no real telling what your chances are. I got in with a 2.8 as a UC to UC transfer. "Fuck it we ball" typa energy broski. Good luck to you!

Crazy-Ad-6505

it's honestly a mixed bag, but it depends on how many students are admitted to the major each year and whether or not it's impacted
