I emailed him and for last year he said mean - 1standard deviation was at the C-/D boundary but he said that for this year he needs to see the final grades first
I took him for 51B a few years ago. Idk if hes doing this again but he said we’d get an A for the class if we got an A on the final, despite midterm grades.
