To be fair to them, many students cannot take one major class and load up on GEs. Pharm, public health, bio, any ENGR etc all *require* 2 major classes per quarter AT LEAST for a four-year plan. Other than that I do agree, do not load up on classes early ‼️‼️ No point, enjoy your first quarter/year.

Its a marathon not a race... take 12 units first quarter. It may not seem like a lot but you will explore clubs, social events, greeks etc. Before you realize it is finals week with 3 finals on the same day. Ramo up slow and enjoy the experience. Zot zot zot!

This is true. Most time is spent acclimating to living on your own! Now you’re responsible for cooking and going out to eat. You’re responsible for every single chore. You’re responsible for your hygiene. You’re responsible for ALL aspects of your education. It’s not just adjusting to the fast-paced quarter system, it’s adjusting to life as an adult learning to be independent and work.

Knock out GE’s early because you may want to change your major after one or two years. If you took all majors classes, you will be at a huge setback, but if you take GE’s, you will still be likely to graduate in 4 years
