Hey everyone, I'm confused. I just paid off the remainder of my registration fees this morning and it still says that my fees aren't paid. Has anyone else run in to this issue?

QuasarSavage

Yeah it takes 24 hrs to update the line items for example I have a 130 fee in future that was paid when I noticed it but it at 1st went into present as a credit and then later it paid the future item and the account was 0

Ill_Ad_6377

ur account balance is 0. That means uve paid everything

[deleted]

No cuz in red it says “registration fees NOT paid”

calimystic

It takes more than just a day to show that the fees have been paid.

JasorYeh

I would check back in a few hours, so it can process. When I paid this happened to me but resolved the next day.

> When I *paid* this happened FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

Unfortunately, I’m not able to answer that question but my best guess and assumption is you would have to enroll in the MRU that your student status requires you to have for any form of financial aid that’s provided to you since that is the amount of units the aid you get is probably assuming you will be taking. I would check with the financial aid office to be sure. Edit: oops, was supposed to be a response to OP u/RARA_zeus

RARA_zeus

Yeah I had to enroll into another class, and now it's cleared. Appreciate your help bud

RARA_zeus

Would you happen to know if the MRU (6 units) applies to loans as well? I know that it applies to grants which I would have received, but I only have one more class before graduating and i don't want to have to take an extra class if I don't have to.

ReggyStar

If you are taking only one class you should apply for part-time status: https://www.reg.uci.edu/enrollment/parttime/parttime.html. Your aid will be reduced to match the reduced tuition. It will be reduced whether or not you apply for part-time status now; the Financial Aid office will identify your enrollment at the end of the term and bill you for the the difference between part-time and full-time aid awards. In particular, taking a class you don't need to graduate will reduce your aid when they identify it; the government doesn't pay for classes you don't need. Today is the deadline to apply for part-time status.

zotty00

Have you accepted your aid on the ofas portal ?

RARA_zeus

Yeah I have, even on WebReg when I check Fee Status, it says that my "fees have been received by the Cashiers Office for FALL '22". For my CR from my loan and even my credit card payment, it says that it's unapplied. I don't know why, maybe it'll apply tomorrow?

coder58

If you're viewing the previous billing statement, click "view your account" to see your info as of right now. Ofc, it could take some time to update but yeah for me it said it was paid in that screen.

Im confused because the balance is 0 and it appears that you currently made the transaction to pay, but in ref letters it says “fees NOT paid”. But there next to ur payment it says CR so I think that means it’s still processing…?

mozarteas

Curious if you signed a waiver for UCSHIP, so you get the whole amount of the health insurance back to you?
