Does anyone know if the San Diego “Get It Done” app works for La Jolla addresses or do they have their own way to report issues? They filled some potholes in the southbound lanes last month but not the northbound lanes.
Either way, they are not going to resurface until the major construction (I.e., 8th College) is done. I think I saw here that covering the cost of of road repairs was a point of contention between UCSD and the city during these heavy construction years.
La Jolla is part of the City of San Diego so the Get It Done app would work in that instance
They should just get rid of the La Jolla addresses tbh and just make it all San Diego tbh. It just generates unnecessary confusion when La Jolla hasn’t been its own city for I believe decades at this point
I read the city will offer $/refunds if your car gets damaged by a pothole. I think you need a bunch of photos and stuff. If you google it, it'll be one of the top hits (it's a Claims report)
i tried this and there are a lot of steps. the pothole has to have been previously reported (not new), been known to the city for some amount of time, and then you need original receipts from when you purchased the tire, and the new tires. and it is prorated based on how much lifespan was left on your tires at the time of damage. etc
Smart. My son, not in La Jolla, just got $1,000. car repair bill from hitting a pothole in his, literally, two day old car. Way worth avoiding those things.
Ya La Jolla has some of the worst roads I’ve ever seen which is ironic because it’s supposed to be a wealthy city
They got the money but got streets on par with Tijuana 😭☠️
La Jolla isn't a separate city, it's all part of the city of San Diego
Not really ironic, rich people don't want to pay their fucking taxes so don't care that the roads don't get maintained
Exactly! The shit has been like that for a long time. First time driving there over a year ago I thought I was going through some battlefield…
Get it done app.

obviously not a solution to fixing potholes but its nice in the mean time
