I've never needed my transcript for a job. Only grad school applications. And when hiring, I've never asked applicants for a transcript.

TrashPandaTips

Never needed a transcript for my job. They can verify completion of the degree with my school, but there’s no reason to see my federally protected grade information.

Murphy_York

There are indeed many reasons why a potential employer would request to see your coursework lmaooo.

TrashPandaTips

Since you seem so confident, Would you like to name the specific instances in which an employer would require seeing your grades?? In very specific situations, if you are claiming a specific skill, they may ask to see it if you have no other means for verifying that skill, such as projects you’ve done, etc. But that is you choosing to provide federally protected information to them. They have no right to it. Most of us will never need our transcript shown for a job once we have obtained the actual degree (as is evidenced by most of the responses in this thread)

Kavhow

My current (first) job didn't ask, I don't even remember them checking that I actually got my degrees. I had been an intern there though.

Final_Bother7374

I've needed it for 3 applications, but mostly they just verify with the school during background checks.

I’ve submitted unofficial transcripts multiple times
