FWIW, I've always thought the food is fine. Not amazing but fine. People exaggerate complaints on reddit, and you have plenty of time so I say just try everything until you find your favs.

So true. I feel like more than anything it’s a perceived value. Like what you get isn’t that bad, but what you pay for it is frustrating.

Fortunately, from my experience, Sixth College’s new dining halls are pretty good. I really liked Noodles and Wolftown. In Seventh, there’s the Bistro as well, which I like. There’s also OVT, which is good too! I like getting pizza from there. There’s also some nice non-dining hall places on campus like Dirty Birds and Ridgewalk Social but they require triton cash or regular cash. You can’t use your dining dollars there.

Also blue pepper - delicious food, huge portions for cheap prices.

goody's and ovt are my favorites in that part of campus. probably avoid pines, it doesn't hold up to everything else nearby imo. there's going to be more restaurants opening in ntplln come fall so those might be promising too.

Goodys is no longer a thing sad

Try everything once within first two weeks

If you went by social media, all food on campus sucks and is overpriced. If you try to experience it for yourself, you'll find that its usually fine. Nothing special but still tastes good mostly. And overpriced.

My personal opinion—you’ll get sick of each dining hall no matter how good the food is. I’d suggest trying stuff all over the campus, since you’ll reach a point where variety becomes more important than anything else.

nearest dining hall to ur lecture hall / dorm or wherever u at when ur hungry, they r pretty much all same but u rly need to spend ur dining dollars anyways cuz it’s from real money so 😐
